| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295 | PURE AND SPECIAL shifted in shortly after the start crowding FIREMANS SALUTE and MUSTARD FUDGE. When rounding the first bend PURE AND SPECIAL made contact with the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE FLIPPA then shifted in checking NOVAS FORTUNE which fell causing both FIREMANS SALUTE and KNOX to take evasive action. NOVAS FORTUNE underwent a post race veterinary examination which cleared the dog of any injuries. |
| Race 2 | Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C2 - 295 | IGNITE THE LIGHT jumped in the air at the start losing ground. MY LITTLE OAH and BLONDE TORI came together shortly after leaving the boxes jostling for several strides. In the back straight IGNITE THE LIGHT made contact with the running rail. Racing into the first bend WANDY LUCK shifted in checking ANOTHER BECKY which made contact with the rail and dropped to the rear. Rounding the home turn AUSSIE HAKA shifted in checking REDDY BOY with both of these runners becoming unbalanced. ANOTHER BECKY and IGNITE THE LIGHT were both checked by the clubs veterinarian after been observed to make contact with the running rail and cleared of injury. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C3 - 295 | ELKI shifted out at the start checking TOM FINN and VISUAL ILLUSION for a stride. Rounding the final bend BENNYS ANGEL shifted outwards making brief contact with ELKI. |
| Race 4 | Buy Sell & Exchange Sprint - C2 - 295 | RENNERS GIFT shifted in at the start making contact with DONT CALL ME. At the end of the back straight WANDY JEWEL shifted out onto HIT THE LIP. When racing into the bend RODRIGUEZ, which was improving on an inside run, made contact with the heels of JIMMY CEE. JIMMY CEE was severely hampered and lost ground. Also hampered as a result of this incident were HIT THE LIP and RENNERS GIFT with DONT CALL ME having to shift wide on the track. The well favoured RODRIGUEZ recovered and ran on well for 5th. Post race veterinary checks of RENNERS GIFT and JIMMY CEE revealed no abnormalities. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Veterinary Centre Dash - C4 - 295 | WISE WONDER began awkwardly losing considerable ground. When rounding the first bend ZO LA DOE shifted out making contact with RED CARPET then continuing to jostle with this runner on numerous occasions before entering the final straight. |
| Race 6 | I Pave Concrete Stakes - C3 - 520 | JINJARANGO angled inwards in the early stages checking OPAWA RAPID who lost ground. Soon after ANOTHER STAR crossed from an outside draw checking PRIMITIVE and SRETROR with these two runners losing their positions. |
| Race 7 | Robbie's Bar & Bistro Sprint - C5 - 295 | HOMEBUSH SARGE was last from the traps. The favourite NIPPA MARY was awkwardly away and then angled outwards checking CALLAHAN for a stride. Into the bend CALLAHAN ran outwards tightening WEONA DARLING and INISHRUSH. On the home turn NIPPA MARY ran outwards to obtain racing room and in doing so pushed HOMEBUSH SARGE and WEONA DARLING wider on the track. |
| Race 8 | FlatpackHouses Ph Murray on 021480250 - C4 - 520 | AWESOME BENDER was weighed in 3.1kgs down on his last race with the conections advising that this was a planned decrease. AWESOME BENDER was passed fit to race by the clubs veterinarian. Shortly after the start ALISARAY shifted out inconveniencing DYNA DIEGO and AWESOME BENDER. ALISARAY then continued to shift out making contact with KNOW ADVANTAGE with both these runners becoming unbalanced. Rounding the first bend TAKE NO PRISONER shifted out onto AWESOME BENDER with this runner being checked. Soon after THRILLING SOUND shifted in checking TAKE NO PRISONER which lost ground. |
| Race 9 | Sky High Scaffolding Dash - C5 - 295 | VAMPIRES SHADOW was slow to begin. EXCUSE PLEASE shifted in leaving the boxes making contact with JACKSON CAT. Rounding the home turn VAMPIRES SHADOW shifted out off the heels of HOMEBUSH MAYHEM checking JACKSON CAT and EXCUSE PLEASE. |
| Race 10 | Carol's T.A.B. Distance Feature - C0d - 645 | BIGTIME KELINA and KNOW REVENGE came together leaving the boxes. Shortly after the start BOBS EYE shifted out crowding BARNABY BALE and BIGTIME KELINA which lost ground. Rounding the final bend FUNNY MONEY was checked when tightened between runners losing ground. When entering the home straight BOBS EYE shifted in on OPAWA COLLAR which shifted in checking BARNABY BALE which lost ground. |
| Race 11 | David Emerson Consultancy Dash - C5 - 295 | NOBLE ENFORCER began awkwardly settling last and remaining in this position throughout. A post race veterinary examination of the dog revealed no obvious abnormalities. |
| Race 12 | Jet Pets Stakes - C5 - 520 | NERD CORNER shifted out at the start making contact with ULTIMATE DREAM. Rounding the first bend YELLA MUSTARD and NERD CORNER came together with NERD CORNER losing ground. ADMIRE ran outwards on the first bend shifting EMILY BAXTER over extra ground. |
| Race 13 | christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Dash - C3 - 295 | Shortly after leaving the boxes ANOTHER COFFEE shifted pushing SURF QUAKE outwards onto SMASH DORA. Simultaneously KNOW LOVE AFFAIR shifted in on DECADO and RIZZ AROUND who lost ground. On the turn SURF QUAKE checked off the heels of SMASH DORA, with KNOW LOVE AFFAIR inconvenienced as a result. |
| Race 14 | controlinsulation.co.nz Dash - C2 - 295 | CAWBOURNE CATCH was last to jump. The favourite MATTI OAH shifted outwards soon after the jump checking CAWBOURNE CATCH for a stride. These two dogs were then badly tightened into the bend losing their chances. GEORGIE LEE lost ground soon after when receiving a check on the outside of EL MAESTRO. On the home turn OUT BY FIVE and HOME TRUTH came together for a stride. |
| Race 15 | Speight's Sprint - C3 - 295 | Leaving the boxes UNO HARRIET shifted in on DYNA FRIER jostling with this runner for several strides. Rounding the bend DYNA FRIER commenced to shift out checking UNO HARRIET which lost ground. Soon after DYNA FRIER checked off the back of EFF FIVE WARNING and stumbled dropping to the rear. |
