| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305 | ABSOLUTE REALITY was slow away then was awkward in to the first turn almost running on to the back of GERARD HAKA he raced between runners was then hampered on the top bend as TIMES UP caught his heels racing down the home straight ABSOLUTE REALITY was observed to ease several strides before the line Soon after the start OTEWA BELL raced across on to HEY YOU and GREARD HAKA tightning these runners for several strides TIMES UP came across on to ANOTHER FANTASY who pushed over on to HARLEY HAKA with these runners being squeezed back TIMES UP went back on to GERARD HAKA with TIMES UP almost being dragged down TIMES UP was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found ABSOLUTE REALITYwas sent for a vet check was found to have pain over thoracic spinal area with a 28 day stand down recommended ANOTHER FANTASY was sent for a vet check and was found to have a sprained right wrist with a 21 day stand down recommended |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305 | From the boxes REBEL JOE ran in colliding with SEDGEBROOK LAD and CLUIAN MEALA REBEL JOE and PHANTOM HAKA came together a couple of strides on with REBEL JOE crossing to the rail causing checks to ANOTHER GUNNA and CLUAIN MEALA Racing in to the first turn SHAGA BANGA BANG (fav) tried to cross to the rail forcing HOMEBUSH JULIE on to heels where she ran outwards sharply taking SUMMERTIME BOBBY to the outside fence both runners were lucky to keep their footing and finished well down the track In to the home straight SHAGA BANGA BANG was attemting a run and ran on to the hindquarters of SEDGEBROOK LAD as this runner moved out SHGA BANGA BANG finished strongly for 3rd placing at the line HOMEBUSH JULIE and SUMMERTIME BOBBY were sent for precautionary vet checks where no abnormalities were found |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305 | As the field jumped away GOT DA FEVER ran in and collided with INTENSE ZOOM SCOTT NO MONEY raced across to the rail checking GOT DA FEVER who was tightened for several strides then was observed to go off stride and pulled up Racing down to the first turn YEAH NAH ran out to the middle of the track taking GICCI RUSH wide in to and around the bend with both these runners covering a fair amount of extra ground through out the running GOT DA FEVER was taken for veterinary attention where she was found to have suffered a leg injury requiring her to be humanly ethanased |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 | Racing in to the first turn HOMEBUSH CHOPPER made contact with the rail when checking off the heels of SAND QUEEN who crossed to the rail HOMEBUSH CHOPPER ran outwards at this point in to the path of REGAL STEP who changed ground outwards taking DARBY LANE wide in to and around the bend . Racing in to the back straight SAND QUEEN began to lose ground back to the rear finishing several lengths last at the line HOME BUSH CHOPPER gave ground ebntering the final bend beating one other runner to the line HOMEBUSH CHOPPER was sent for a vet check where he was found to have pain over left gracilis with a 14 day stand down recommended SAND QUEEN was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found The trainer of SAND QUEEN advised the stewards that the dog has previously had an injury that may still be troubling the dog and they were dissapointed with the run The dog will be trialled before it races again . |
| Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305 | From the boxes DASHER RUM raced across on to BOLT RAMA BOOZE UP and SCARILICIOUS tightning these runners for a couple of strides. DASHER RUM was presented for a vet check after the last race on request of the trainer where he was found to have pain in the right wrist with a 14 day stand down recommended |
| Race 6 | Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 | Soon after the start HOMEBUSH ANABEL ran out on to JIMMY JURANTE and BOSS MAN SLOY further on in to the first bend AGENT JORGE crossed to the rail causing tightning and checks to BOSS MAN SLOY JIMMY JURANTE and HOMEBUSH ANABEL these runners all lost a couple of lengths at this point In the run down the home straight BOSS MAN SLOY was hampered as JIMMY JURANTE moved inwards with both runners being tightened close to the line . |
| Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2 | Racing to the first turn LUCYLICIOUS caught the hindquarter of BIGTIME LATTE and got off balance running wide forcing THATS KING wider around the bend in to the back straight. |
| Race 8 | Broad Roofing C1 - C1 - 305 | Racing to the first turn IMPERATIVE came across on to HOMEBUSH ALEX who was pushed over on to LISSADEL TOBY turning this runner sideways for a couple of strides then made contact with the hindquarters of MEGA UPLOAD HOMEBUSH ALEX then caught the heels of IMPERATIVE and went back on to GHOST CHIPS who was checked but recovered quickly to keep his position IMPERATIVE ran wide across the top bend as she regained her balance |
| Race 9 | JP Print Petone C0/1D - C1d - 645 | From the jump THRILLING CAIRO ran straight towards the rail severly tightning BOTANY MATHEW on to TUMMY KRUNCHES and RETALIATE FIRST (fav) who went back to the rear RETALIATE FIRST mpoved out in to the middle of the track and raced very wide in the rear he started a sustained run around the field from the midway point to be with in 4 lengths of the winner at the line and the large amount of extra ground covered in the early stages may have been the difference between 1st and 2nd |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3 | From the boxes HAIR SHE IS raced across and collided with SHARKIES DREAM she ran in to RED HOT DUTCH and went back a couple of lengths soon after BULLABAKANKA and FALSE IMPRESSIONS came together with both runners clearing each other with out losing any ground |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305 | Soon after the start BUT ITS GREAT moved out on to HOMEBUSH JEM wider out FIRE BOY BAXTER raced across to to TENKAY DOWN FURIOUS RESPONSE and THRILLING SQUEAL all these runners were hampered and jostled for several strides. in to the first turn FURIOUS RESPONSE pushed THRILLING SQUEAL over towards the rail resulting in BUT ITS GREAT being checked back a length or two In the run down to the line FIRE BOY BAXTER in the lead moved inwards taking the line of BUT ITS GREAT who was inconvinenced for several strides these were the first two runners to the line . |
