Track: Good The track was very well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly with all equipment running well and the last race was started at the advertised time.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: The $ 150-00 fine imposed on Trainer J.T.McInerney for the late scratching of SMOOCHA from race 6 at Wanganui on 03.10.2012 has been rescinded. This was as a result of the fact that SMOOCHA was originally a reserve for the race but that there was a redraw and SMOOCHA was placed back in the field. Mr McInerney advised the Stewards that he had never received notification of the redraw and was unaware of the dogs placement in the field. The Clubs Secretary produced copy of an e.mail which had been sent to Mr McInerney and a number of other interested parties but it could not be conclusively established that it had been received and or read by Mr McInerney and under the circumstances, the decision was made to rescind the fine.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C3 - C3 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but made up ghround for 4th place. HOMEBUSH BUFFY was checked on the bend and again entering the home straight and she finished in last place.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C3 - C3 - 305	TRENDY KNOCKAS was checked soon after the start when tightened between SYDENHAM SAM and BELFAST KING and she settled at the rear and then raced a little wide on the bend. SYDENHAM SAM was checked on the bend when OPAWA BLACK moved through on the inside and she went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C3 - C3 - 305	BOILED LOLLIES and OPAWA PRINCE were the slowest to begin losing two lengths. THRILLING PIPPI and KAZILLION bumped together on the first corner when racing at the rear and lost ground. THRILLING PIPPI looked awkward in its galloping action soon after and dropped out to finish several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood C4 - C4 - 305	OPAWA THORN shifted out going to the first corner and inconvenienced SLANGEVAR for several strides . EVER SO HOPEFUL checked of the heels of BINTY FLAHERTY in the final striaght and shifted out to collide with ANOTHER HIT who was pushed wide .
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	CHAINSAW PETE was slow to begin losing two lengths. WEE DIGER shifted out going to the first corner and BIGTIME KAREN shifted in which resulted in tightening and checks to BOTANY MATTHEW, CHAINSAW PETE, HAIR HE IS and REALON RUMBA and they all lost varying amounts of ground.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C4 - C4 - 305	SHEEZA MEESHA and PIN UP PUPPY bumped together several times in the home straight and after viewing the video films the Stewards were not satisfied that there was sufficient evidence to say that SHEEZA MEESHA had turned its head but its future starts will be closely monitored.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor C4 - C4 - 305	EMMA MARIE checked off the back of ANOTHER BLEND on the bend and shifted out to run wide into the straight and they finished in the last two places.
Race 8	NZRS Graduation Final - NZRSf - 520	THRILLING ELLA shifted out going into the first corner and caused severe checks to itself and also DOWN THE BACK, RAMESSEE, SWIFT SWINGER and SASHAS ONE and they lost several lengths and finished in the last four places.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	AMBLE UP shifted out slightly going into the first turn and this resulted in a check to NIP TUCK who lost several lengths and she then raced wide on the track and finished in 2nd last place. Soon after the incident, AMBLE UP broke down and shifted out forcing CAWBOURNE LEVI, TIZ NOW and SANDS OF TIME very wide on the bend and they lost several lengths. AMBLE UP finished the race some distance behind the other runners, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 42 days with a severe hock injury and is now retred for breeding purposes.
Race 10	Waterloo Cup Heat (Group 1) - C5 - 520	CORTECCIA and RYBENBROOK JOSH shifted in from the start and caused checks to the two favourites UNPROFESSIONAL and THREE INCH NAIL and they went back to the rear of the field. UNPROFESSIONAL made up ground well from there to finish in 3rd place. RYBENBROOK JOSH shifted out on the first turn and checked KEROBOKAN and OOH LA COOL who were both forced wide into the first bend.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	WHAT A PEANUT was slow to begin losing three lengths. LEADFOOT LENNY, DONNA BAXTER and CAWBOURNE COOKIE jostled together for some distance in the run to the first corner and they lost ground as a result and stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	LITTLE WISHES who drew box 1 was crowded for some distance in the back straight and eventually checked losing several lengths and all chance and she finished in last place. FREDDIE BAXTER was also checked losing ground during the same crowding and then shifted out going into the bend and checked CAWBOURNE JOSE who lost ground.
