OKUKU BOBO ran inwards in the early stages as RULE JUDGE JUDY angled outwards with SING CILLA BLACK and TOWER being tightened and dropping to the rear. WANDY JEWEL angled outwards coming together with OKUKU BOBO into the bend with OKUKU BOBO losing some momentum. |
| Race 2 | Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C3 - 295 | BANBIT and WAZZA FREEBIE were the last to jump. BANBIT received a check in the early stages as BIGTIME YAHOO ran inwards for a stride. Into the bend RADIATOR SPRINGS angled inwards on to BIGTIME YAHOO who in turn terminally checked the favourite NOVAS FORTUNE who lost his chance. MR. DAPTO was also inconvenienced at this stage. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295 | LOTSA STYLE and OKUKU WEE MAN were the slowest from the traps. ADINI ran inwards and made solid contact with TOM FINN in the initial stages with ADINI dropping to the rear. He made good ground late for third. ANYTIME WILL DO and DONT FORGET JET jostled for a few strides in the back straight. |
| Race 4 | Buy Sell & Exchange Dash - C5 - 295 | JENNINGS ran inwards in the back straight as NATALIA BALE angled outwards resulting in the favourite TIZ NOW and HOMEBUSH MAYHEM both being squeezed up and losing ground. |
| Race 5 | Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C2 - 520 | SHOULD BE CARLOS was the last to jump. OKUKU SURPRISE ran outwards in the early stages checking WANDY CHLOE and NEW YORK AFFAIR who lost ground. Into the first bend BUSINESS PLAN checked outwards off the pacemaking NO UNDIES SUNDY and lost a place. |
| Race 6 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C5 - 295 | GURU GOOSE angled outwards when improving into the bend pushing RAMRADA wider on the track. RAMRADA then ran inwards checking JACKSON CAT when both runners were at the rear. |
| Race 7 | Coaster's Tavern Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | ANOTHER STAR ran outwards into the first bend checking THRILLING SADIE who lost ground. OPAWA COLLAR was held up in behind these runners and lost momentum. Closer in MISS IRON FIST ran inwards and made sold contact with the running rail dropping to the rear. Stewards requested the veterinarian to check her with this check revealing some cramp which dissipated soon after the race and resulted in no stand down being recommended. |
| Race 8 | Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C4 - 295 | WONNIE WONDER was the tardiest from the traps. JUST A MATE crossed sharply from her outside draw and caused checks to be received by the majority of the field with only EXCUSE PLEASE and PURE AND SPECIAL being spared. Of these runners WONNIE WONDER and ANOTHER RAEWYN were the worst affected dropping to the rear. |
| Race 9 | Super Pets Lightning Sprint Final - C5f - 295 | The outside three dogs KYANN, HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN and WEONA DARLING were all a shade slow from the traps. Into the bend ZEBIDIAH was badly checked and went back through the field on to HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN who was severely impeded and dropped right out. Shortly after ETCHED IN STONE checked off KYANN and ran inwards losing ground. Post race veterinary checks were requested to be undertaken on HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN and ZEBIDIAH. HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN was found to have a hock injury with Trainer John McInerney advising that the dog would be retired. ZEBIDIAH was cleared of any injury. |
| Race 10 | Murray @ Ray White Ph.3715005 Stakes - C3 - 520 | THRILLING JONAH was tightened in the early stages as SIXTY TWENTY ran outwards. Into the first bend SIXTY TWENTY and OPAWA RAPID came together as SIXTY TWENTY continued her outwards movement. Soon after OPAWA RAPID checked outwards off the back of SIXTY TWENTY and lost a couple of lengths. |
| Race 11 | Garrard's Horse & Hound Distance - C0d - 645 | RETALIATE FIRST, OPAWA PEEKAY and LAW TO EXCEL were the slowest from the traps. With a lap to run BIGTIME KELINA checked off PAROLE TO EXCEL and lost a length. RETALIATE FIRST raced wide throughout in his first look at the track flashing home late for a close fourth. |
| Race 12 | Sky High Scaffolding Stakes - C5 - 520 | ANOTHER BREEZE angled inwards in the early stages tightening the favourite ADMIRE along the inside. Into the first bend YELLA MUSTARD angled inwards tightening MAGIC MAGGIE and ANOTHER BREEZE who losing ground. Soon after WOT PRICE CURLY ran inwards and checked YELLA MUSTARD who lost ground. In the home straight WOT PRICE CURLY and NOT A KNOW brushed together losing some momentum. |
| Race 13 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C3 - 295 | PRINCELY DOLLAR ran inwards into the bend checking FULLA PRIDE who had been handy in the early rush. ALWAYS A STORY ran outwards into the bend pushing FULLA PRIDE and DECADO wide around that bend with all of these runners losing their chances. |
| Race 14 | Sister Cities Cup Final Tonight @ 11.41pm - C2 - 295 | SLIGHTLY AMAZING and ZED KAY MAN were the last to jump. Into the bend TIE MY TIE ran inwards as SLIGHTLY AMAZING ran outwards with both dogs losing ground and checking ULTIMATE SPICE who lost his chance. Closer in the favourite RUN LACEY RUN received a slight check off REDDY BOY and lost some momentum. ZED KAY MAN ran outwards on the home turn when improving and brushed REDDY BOY for a stride. |
| Race 15 | Speight's Sprint - C3 - 295 | DYNA FRIER angled outwards into the bend inconveniencing WATERHOUSE, RENNERS GIFT and EFF FIVE WARNING who all covered extra ground. RENNERS GIFT checked off the back of WATERHOUSE on the home turn and lost ground. |
