| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305 | FOUR TOO MANY was slow to begin losing two lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. LARA PINTER was checked going to the first corner losing three lengths and CAWBOURNE STEFFI was also checked soon after losing two lengths. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 305 | MS TOURNAMENTAL and EXACT MASTER were the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. SEDGEBROOK LEE checked off the heels of VICKIS QUEST going into the bend and shifted out causing checks to FAWN ALLEGRO, EXACT MASTER and MS TOURNAMENTAL and they all lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last four places. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 520 | GO BOOF shifted in from the start and checked PAR who lost ground and settled well back but ran on well to finish in 3rd place. SMOOCHA galloped on the back of BIG GIRL WELSHY going into the first bend and went back and out onto SHODSIE and all three dogs lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last three places. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305 | GUNNA EXCITE and AGENT VICTOR bumped together when the start was made. WHAT WHERE WHEN shifted in going into the bend and checked NELLY FLAHERTY who then ran wide covering extra ground. |
| Race 5 | J P Print Petone C3 - C3 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK ELITE was slow to begin losing three lengths but finished well for 3rd placing. WATERBUG, ANOTHER LADY, CHARLI CLANG and THRILLING PIPPI jostled together for several strides going to the first corner until CHARLI CLANG eventually cleared the others and went on to finish in 2nd place. WATERBUG, ANOTHER LADY and THRILLING PIPPI lost four lengths in the incident and finished at the rear. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305 | ENAZUMA was the slowest to begin but made up griound well to finish strongly for 2nd placing. SHEZA RATBAG was checked going to the first corner and she went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race. |
| Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | THRILLING DEAL, JAG YOU ARE and WANDY KYLE were slow to begin and settled at the rear. HAIR HE IS shifted in going to the first corner and checked HOT POOTIE who went back to last. WANDY KYLE appeared to go off stride going into the final bend and dropped four lengths behind the 2nd last runner and finished in last place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 5 days with infraspinatus and supraspinatus muscle pain. |
| Race 8 | Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305 | CAWBOURNE MADZ shifted in soon after the start and caused tightening to SHALF, DIRECT RESPONSE, HOMEBUSH SARINA and KINETIC RIO and this eventually resulted in HOMEBUSH SARINA and KINETIC RIO being checked and they lost three lengths. CAWBOURNE MADZ shifted out on the bend and bumped SHALF out onto LEADFOOT LENNY who was checked and lost two lengths. |
| Race 9 | Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305 | OPAWA SACHA and PARRA SPARRA were slow to begin losing two lengths. TALEEDY TROOPER and SHEEZA MEESHA were handy going into the bend where they jostled together for a few strides losing some momentum but recovered quickly to finish in 2nd and 3rd places. CAWBOURNE DARCY led until rounding the bend where she began to drift and she finished in last place and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a dew claw injury. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | BARRYS WAY and BIGTIME KAREN came together and bumped losing ground soon after the start and a couple of strides later, RYBENBROOK JOSH shifted and checked BIGTIME KAREN. VISIONARY MAN and THRILLING CAIRO were checked going into the first bend and soon after they came back onto BIGTIME KAREN who was also checked in the incident with all three losing several lengths and all chance. |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C5 - C5 - 305 | HOMEBUSH LIGNITE, CORBY and BOUND BY PRIDE were the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. BOUND BY PRIDE drifted further behind and his galloping action did not appear correct and he finished several lengths last, was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. CAWBOURNE LEVI shifted in going to the first corner and checked COMPLICIT and CIAO FOR NOW with CIAO FOR NOW being the most affected and he lost several lengths and all chance. COMPLICIT recovered well to win the race narrowly. |
| Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305 | HOMEBUSH ZITA began very awkwardly losing several lengths and she stayed back for the entire race and finished last. DONNA BAXTER shifted in going to the first corner and caused jostling and checks to FLYING FLYNN, DADDYS AWESOME, IMA SPICE and ROADMANS SHACK. IMA SPICE then shifted out on the first corner and there was jostling between that runner, DADDYS AWESOME in the middle and ROSEMORE OSTI on the outside and this continued for several strides. DADDYS AWESOME appeared to suffer an injury, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a hock injury. |
