Track: Good The rain which fell prior to and during the meeting resulted in the track being slushy. The meeting proceeded smoothly with all races started on time.

Incident Reports

Race Number	Race Name	Incident Report
Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD, THRILLING PETRA and the favourite LOUIELICIOUS were slow to begin. LOUIELICIOUS was checked soon after the start, again on the first corner and for a third time on the home turn and did well under the circumstances to finish in 5th place. THRILLING PETRA also recovered well from a slow start to win the race. RIBA LORDA was checked soon after the start and again on the first corner and she went back to near the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	ATE PIZZA and SLANGEVAR began awkwardly losing ground and then bumped together soon after losing further ground. SLANGEVAR then checked off the heels of SHEZA RATBAG going to the first corner losing further ground and bumped with OPAWA PRINCE on the home turn and finished in last place. ATE PIZZA made up ground well after a slow start and finished in 3rd place. BOTANY ZENA shifted in from the start and caused jostling to ANOTHER LADY, OPAWA PRINCE and SHEZA RATBAG who all lost momentum for a few strides.
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	SMASH BANG WIN was checked soon after the start when he shifted in across the heels of BIG GIRLY WELSHY and he settled at the rear. LOTTO PROFIT was bumped from the inside and checked by WANDY KYLE going into the first corner and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE went up with the box lids losing four lengths and then made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. LITTLE BLACKSPOT was checked losing ground on the first corner and he was checked again on the bend, went back to last and finished in that position.
Race 5	J P Print, Petone C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	COOL EXPLORER and GROOVY SHANE were the slowest to begin and stayed at the rear throughout the race.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C4 - C4 - 520	BIGTIME WHIZZ went up with the box lids losing a little ground and she then collided with the hind quarters of TAILS OFF on the first corner and they both lost ground and stayed back for the remainder of the race and finished in the last two places.
Race 7	Palamountains Nutrition C4 - C4 - 305	DIRECT RESPONSE shifted out going to the first corner and checked ANOTHER BLEND and he continued to shift out and bumped LEADFOOT LENNY who was forced wide on the bend. JACKIE SHIRAZ was slow to begin losing several lengths and she stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 8	Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305	RANDO REASON shifted in from the start and created a chain reaction of bumping with TALEEDY TROOPER, WISE CRACK LAD, BIMBOO, HOMEBUSH BRITNEY and CAWBOURNE TOBES all involved and they lost varying amounts of ground. BIMBOO and TALEEDY TROOPER jostled together for several strides going into the bend losing ground and they finished at the rear.
Race 9	Wanganui Security C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	ROADMANS SHACK and CORBY came together and bumped losing ground soon after the start. BOUND BY PRIDE was checked on the first corner and went back onto ROADMANS SHACK with both dogs losing ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C5 - C5 - 520	COOL IZMIR, ASHER and BIGTIME KAREN came together and bumped losing ground soon after the start and they settled at the rear. BARRYS WAY checked over the heels of OOH LA COOL on the first bend and lost ground. COOL IZMIR was checked on the final bend when BIGTIME KAREN improved through on the inside and COOL IZMIR went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	STIFF shifted in from the start and checked EVER SO HOPEFUL who blundered and lost ground. HOMEBUSH HAYLEY and BILLY WHIZ were the slowest to begin and they stayed back throughout the race.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	BOTANY ANGELA was checked on the first corner losing several lengths and she never recovered and finished at the rear.
