Track: Good Following the abandonment of Race 12 due to the starting box lids activating prior to the lure reaching the start point, the Club undertook to make extensive investigations into the cause. The Club is to advise the Stewards the outcome of their investigation.
Scales: Correct at 5, 10 and 25 kgs
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainers AC & DL Roberts made application pursuant to Rule 80.7 for the cancellation of the endorsement under Rule 80.1 for FLYING JOJO. Due to the dog having satisfactorily completing 10 clear races the endorsement was removed by the Stewards and the papers were marked accordingly.

Race 1	CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C0 - 390	TALK IT OVER was very slow to begin. TEKOA, CALL ME RALPH and INNER BEAUTY all came together at the jump. Racing into the bend SEE SPOT RUN moved outwards tightening MAGGIE DEE on its outer.SEE SPOT RUN was then checked when BILLY MUGGINS which shifted ground inwards. TEKOA shifted ground outwards racing into the bend with TALK IT OVER also racing wide to avoid TEKOA.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 457	RICH LIST jumped outwards at the start making contact with FLYING MOE. TOP PLAYER shifted ground outwards shortly after the jump checking RICH LIST and FLYING MOE. Over the early stagesSECRET VENUS moved outwards contacting CAMPAIGNER. Racing into the bend TOP PLAYER shifted off the heels of SEONG DUK when CAMPAIGNER was simultaneously shifting ground inwards with a resulting check to FLYING MOE and SECRET VENUS.
Race 3	ADDED ENERGY - C1 - 390	HAZZAS LAD was a shade slow to begin. LACHIES LAD shifted inwards at the jump impeding FOGGY STORM. On the bend LACHIES LAD shifted off the heels of JOHNNYS BLUE forcing SHADOW WOLF and HAZZAS LAD wider on the track.
Race 4	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1 - 457	RAY DOSH jumped awkwardly and was slow to begin as a result. JACKS FIRST shifted ground inwards shortly after the start contacting SMASH DORA. DITTMAN then moved ground outwards checking SMASH DORA. PENNY BLUE SOX checked off the heels of OPAWA STU rounding the bend. CROSSFIRE MAX raced wide throughout.
Race 5	$26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C2 - 457	WANDY CHLOE was a shade slow to begin. SHIRAZ ROSE shifted inwards after the jump dictating the line of WANDY PAUL. WANDY PAUL and WANDY CHLOE made contact on several occasions racing towards the bend. HOMEBUSH WILD was checked on the bend when SHIRAZ ROSE shifted ground inwards. WANDY PAUL then checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH WILD resulting in WANDY PAUL racing wide around the bend. SEA SPRAY DORIS checked off the heels of SLIGHTLY AMAZING causing SEA SPRAY DORIS to race wide on the bend also.
Race 6	100% SELECTRIX - C2 - 390	MISS FIT was slow to begin. BLICKLING BRIDGE shifted inwards at the start checking PRIMITIVE. Approaching the bend HEZA SENSATION moved outwards and was turned sideways when contacted from behind by AUSSIE HAKA. AUSSIE HAKA checked off the heels of HEZA SENSATION with a resulting check to BLICKLING BRIDGE and MISS FIT. PRIMITIVE shifted outwards on the bend making contact with MOREPORT SHANNON and AUSSIE HAKA.
Race 7	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C3 - 390	NERD CORNER was slow to jump. ANOTHER DRIZZLE jumped inwards at the start MUSTARD FUDGE. GEORGIE LEE shifted ground inwards sharply on the bend checking MUSTARD FUDGE and NERD CORNER. MUSTARD FUDGE then raced wide rounding the bend forcing ANOTHER DOLLAR wider on the track. The Stewards requested a post race veterinary examination on the favourite NERD CORNER which revealed no injuries.
Race 8	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C3 - 457	MORNING WATCH jumped awkwardly and lost ground at the start. FLYING JOJO and WATERHOUSE both shifted ground inwards at the start checking PUKEKO FLYER. PUKEKO FLYER checked off the heels of FLYING JOJO approaching the bend. BLACK PAN checked off FELIXSTONE on the bend with PUKEKO FLYER, WATERHOUSE and FLYING JOJO all forced to race wider on the bend. Approaching the home straight BLACK PAN become awkwardly placed on the heels of HAMPDEN JACK.
Race 9	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER - C4 - 390	WHERES JOHN CEE and WHAT A PEANUT made contact shortly after the jump. JUST A MATE was checked when THRILLING SADIE shifted inwards entering the bend. CAUGHT THE EYE then made heavy contact with JUST A MATE with JUST A MATE losing several lengths.
Race 10	HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM EADE - C4 - 457	Approaching the bend KING OF CLUBS, FANTA ALERT and STARBURST SUZIE all made contact with FANTA ALERT and STARBURST SUZIE again making contact shortly afterwards with both runners losing ground.
Race 11	COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C5 - 457	ANOTHER BREEZE jumped inwards at the start dictating the line of THANKS CHARLIE onto ANOTHER DOLLAR. THANKS CHARLIE then shifted ground outwards to obtain racing room.
Race 12	justracing.com .au - C5 - 390	The race was declared a no race pursuant to Rule 76.1 after the starting box lids had opened prematurely prior to the lure reaching the starting boxes. The Stewards were of the opinion pursuant to Rule 75.2 the outcome of the race was affected by the positioning of the lure behind the start point. The race was subsequently abandoned under Rule 76.6.
