| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305 | BOND ECLIPSE was slow to begin losing three lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place. The favourite BIGTIME SURPRISE was checked going to the first corner and was checked several times on the bend and finished in 6th place. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | GIRL ROSEY raced wide on the first bend covering extra ground but ran on well to win the race. JUST MAC was checked and lost ground on the first corner when GO BOOF moved through on the inside and JUST MAC stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C3 - C3 - 305 | MY BAD JONNY was awkwardly positioned between MEGA RUSH and COOL EXPLORER going into the first corner and was checked and fell. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with minor bruising to limbs. DONKEY DEEP and ANOTHER HIT bumped together and ran a little wide into the bend losing ground. DONKEY DEEP appeared to be sore following the race and was also examined by the Vet cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3 - C3 - 305 | EVER SO HOPEFUL, SEDGEBROOK LEE and ANOTHER STREET were slow to begin and settled at the rear. LINDOP was checked on the bend and went back to last. TALEEDY TROOPER, BENNYS ANGEL and SEDGEBROOK LEE came together and bumped on the home turn and all three lost ground. The winner SASSAFRAS took a heavy fall after the line and was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 520 | The favourite TUMMY KRUNCHES checked off the heels of THRILLING CAIRO on the first bend and lost ground and she stayed back in the rear group to finish in 6th place. |
| Race 6 | Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305 | THRILLING LYRIC shifted out on the first corner and checked YANKEE LADY and SNAP TO IT who lost several lengths and all chance and they finished at the rear. THRILLING LYRIC also lost ground in the incident. |
| Race 7 | Mickey's Super Liquor C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | THRILLING TUNE checked off the back of UPAHUT CINDY on the first corner and they both lost ground. FREDDY JOHN was also affected in the incident and was forced wide into the first bend and they finished in the last three places. |
| Race 8 | NZRS Final - NZRSf - 305 | The favourite MY JACK ATTACK was slow to begin losing two lengths and he could not make up the lost ground and finished well back. HOMEBUSH HELEN shifted in from the start and caused checks to MOODY MAN and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY who both lost ground. MOODY MAN shifted out going into the bend forcing HOMEBUSH BRITNEY and MY JACK ATTACK wide over extra ground. STATELY BABE mad contact with the rail on the first corner, was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury,. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete Wanganui Cup Final C5 - C5f - 520 | AINT NO SAINT shifted in and EMILY BAXTER shifted out and this resulted in tightening and a check to LITTLE MOTHER who went back to last and she then ran wide over extra ground on the fiirst bend. LITTLE MOTHER then ran on fairly over the final stages to finish in 5th place. BARRYS WAY shifted out on the first corner and caused checks to AINT NO SAINT and VISIONARY MAN who both lost ground. AINT NO SAINT and VISIONARY MAN collided again a ferw strides further on losing further ground and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. OOH LA COOL checked off the back of KAZZ RAZZ on the first bend losing several lengths. |
| Race 10 | GEON Wellington C5 - C5 - 305 | One of the favourites STIFF drew box 6, was not the best to begin and although having every opportunity, he did not get to lead, was awkwardly placed between runners on the bend and only battled and finished in last place. |
| Race 11 | Wanganui Security C5 - C5 - 305 | RONS SECRET shifted in from the start and caused tightening and checks to MOLLY DARLING, COMPLICIT, LITTLE WISHES and BILLY WHIZZ and they all lost varying amounts of ground. The favourite COMPLICIT recovered the best of those affected and he finished in 4th place. |
| Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 305 | DIRECT RESPONSE and CHARLI CLANG jostled together going to the first corner losing several lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
