Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer R WALES admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 in that he presented OPAWA STYLE (Race 10) to race today 1.8 kg in excess of that runners previous race weight . Due to exceptional circumstances (Dunedin 17/7/12 ) and after due consideration with Greyhound Racing New Zealand , stewards imposed no penalty .

Race 1	Jet Pets Dash - C4 - 295	CAWBOURNE LEVI was slow to begin. Shortly after the start LOTSA STYLE ,RED CARPET and AVERT all came together and jostled momentarilly . Rounding the bend RED CARPET was severly checked when racing between LOTSA STYLE and BENJI LAFOURCHE which shifted outwards. A post race veterinary inspection of RED CARPET revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 2	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 1	Shortly after the start FOUR BY TWO shifted outwards and hampered KNOW ADVANTAGE which inturn was dictated outwards and caused TOM FINN to be checked . Racing into the first bend SEA SPRAY TITCH shifted out forcing NOBLE ENFORCER into the running line of FOUR BY TWO , NOBLE ENFORCER checked as a result and trailed the field home . A post race veterinary inspection revealed NOBLE ENFORCER to have sustained a left hind gracilis tear with a 28 day stand down being imposed.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C4 - 520	Rounding the first bend NERD CORNER shifted inwards and made firm contact with STILL HELINA for a number of strides, resulting in STILL HELINA being checked and losing ground .
Race 4	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 2	This race was delayed 2 minutes on request from Raceday Control . In the run to the first bend WANDY CHICK was jostled when racing in tight quarters between COOL CHARMER and ZEBADIAH. Rounding the bend KNOW TRUST shifted outwards and forced HOMEBUSH DOMINO over extra ground .
Race 5	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 3	Rounding the first bend IONA HAKA and PRETTY GOOD made contact and shifted outwards forcing KNOW MISTAKE into the running line of EXCUSE PLEASE which was unbalanced and forced over extra ground.
Race 6	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 4	KNOW ATTENTION , FIREMANS SALUTE and GENISTA LIGHTNIN all came together shortly after the start and jostled for a short distance , FREDDIE BAXTER shifted outwards shortly after and made firm contact with GENISTA LIGHTNIN which resulted in both runners losing momentum and position.
Race 7	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 5	In the run to the first bend OKUKU OLLIE shifted outwards at the same time as HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN shifted inwards and tightened KNOW RIVAL , ROMBERG LASS and ANYTIME WILL DO , resulting in all these runners being hampered . Rounding the bend OKUKU OLLIE was further hampered by KNOW RIVAL shifting ground.
Race 8	Super Pets NZ St Leger Heat - R/Aq - 520 Heat 1	CAWBOURNE HEIDI was slow to begin . GEOFF THE REF ,TRICKY HARRY and OPAWA PEEKAY were all hampered between MISS IRON FIST which was shifting down to the rail and SPACE RACE which was racing away from the rail. Into the first bend MISS IRON FIST was checked when RUSSEL HART shifted outwards.
Race 9	David Emerson Consultancy Harding Cup Heat - C5q - 295 Heat 6	ETCHED IN STONE and JACKSON CAT made firm contact shortly after the start. In the run to the first bend TEDDY MARCELLO shifted outwards and hampered SORRY VANDERFORD which in turn came back onto and checked JACKSON CAT .
Race 10	Super Pets NZ St Leger Heat - R/Aq - 520 Heat 2	OPAWA STYLE and FANTA ALERT jostled for some distance shortly after the start. Into the first turn MAGIC MAGGIE shifted outwards as JONNY JET shifted in resulting in ANOTHER BREEZE being checked . Rounding the first bend OPAWA STYLE ,HOUSTON and JONNY JET all made firm contact and jostled for some distance. Into the back straight HOUSTON checked outwards off the heels of JONNY JET losing ground.
Race 11	Super Pets NZ St Leger Heat - R/Aq - 520 Heat 3	JINJARANGO was buffeted between runners for some distance after the start. Into the back straight EMILY was checked when JINJARANGO shifted outwards .
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	HOMEBUSH BORIS and ANOTHER MATE made contact after the start. Rounding the first bend FIERY FLOWER shifted outwards and made firm contact with HOMEBUSH BORIS , FIERY FLOWER continued to shift ground outwards and dictacted ZO LA DOE over excessive ground.
