Track: Good The racing was conducted in very wet conditions but proceeded smoothly on a well presented track with the equipment functioning well throughout the meeting.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Further to the running report on Race 10 at Wanganui GRC meeting on 13.07.2012 and in relation to the performance of BIGTIME KINVARA who was the favourite for the race. BIGTIME KINVARA led in the early and middle stages but dropped out to finish in last place and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury or illness. The kennel representative in charge of the dog was requested to report to the Stewards if any problems became apparent with BIGTIME KINVARA in subsequent days. It was reported to the Stewards on this day that the dog had been very ill the day following the meeting with diarrhoea and vomitting and had been placed on a drip to assist with his recovery. There have been a number of Greyhounds with similar illness in recent days in both the North and South Island.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	GO AYLA GO jumped in from the start and checked SAPPHIRE PHOENIX who lost ground and went back to last. RED HOT DUTCH shifted in soon after the start and caused checks to ELLO ELLE, GO AYLA GO and ABSOLUTE REALITY who all lost several lengths and they finished in the last three places. ABSOLUTE REALITY appeared sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with a latissimus dorsi muscle injury.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C0 - C0 - 375	CLUAIN MEALA shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to FLAYOSC, GERARD HAKA and RUN MISCHIEF RUN who all lost ground and they settled at the rear and stayed well back throughout.
Race 3	GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 375	CRAZY BABY shifted in abruptly soon after the start and caused checks to BIGTIME SURPRISE, LITTLE BITTY GAL, SLANGEVAR, MISS MOET and OPAWA SACHA who all lost ground. SLANGEVAR checked off the heels of OPAWA SACHA entering the home straight losing ground and he finished in last place.
Race 4	Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C1 - C1 - 457	SYDILICIOUS was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout to finish in 6th place.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 Final - C1f - 375	All clear.
Race 6	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2 - C2 - 375	GREYWINDS KOBY was slow to begin losing two lengths and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. THRILLING HALO and NUTS FOR SURE were awkwardly positioned at the rear going to the first corner and lost ground. THRILLING HALO recovered to finish in 3rd place but NUTS FOR SURE stayed back and finished last.
Race 7	Foxton Dash C2 - C2 - 375	THRILLING DEAL and RON BAXTER were both checked losing ground on the first turn. HOMEBUSH FRASER suffered a forefoot laceration and was stood down for 14 days. THRILLING DEAL also suffered a toe laceration and was stood down for 10 days.
Race 8	Cloverlea Sprint C3 - C3 - 375	THRILLING CAIRO shifted in soon after the start and checked EVER SO HOPEFUL who lost ground and settled at the rear and he stayed well back throughout.
Race 9	Manawatu Raceway Dash C4 - C4 - 375	RUN A BATH lost his footing behind as they jumped from the boxes and he lost three lengths. CHEMICALLY FREE shifted out going to the first corner and checked THRILLING TUNE and BIGTIME ALLGO and all three lost ground. DARLEK KHAN and ROSEMORE OSTI came together for a few strides on the bend and ROSEMORE OSTI lost three lengths and never recovered.
Race 10	Marton Dash C5 - C5 - 375	MOODY MAN and SHALF were tightened from the outside going to the first corner and they both lost ground. MOODY MAN recovered the best from the incident and he finished in 3rd place.
Race 11	Feilding Stakes C1/2 - C1/2 - 457	GO BOOF and SAND BUSTER were slow to begin losing two lengths and they stayed back throughout the race. TRINITY BOY and JUST MAC came together and bumped going to the first corner and both lost a little ground.
Race 12	Shannon Stakes C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	LIL MISS KRUNCH was checked in the race to the first corner losing three lengths and she went back to last and never recovered. REALON ROSE suffered an injury which required suturing and was stood down for 10 days.
