Judicial report: HOMEBUSH BORIS and HOMEBUSH EDITH were both late scratchings at kennelling. Handler Jonathan McInerney reported that this pair had got away when the dogs were being loaded to come to the races and received the knocks at this time.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295	STILL HELINA and ANOTHER BLEND were a shade slow to jump. ANYTIME WILL DO and DYNA BROWNLOW came together into the bend losing momentum.
Race 2	Happy 1st Birthday Micah John Luke-Hargrave Dash - C4 - 295	ZO LA DOE ran outwards in the early stages checking HOMEBUSH DOMINO and SOSAN who lost ground. ZO LA DOE also ran outwards on the home turn with SOSAN changing ground inwards. Late in the run home ZO LA DOE ran inwards tightening SOSAN on his inside. Stewards viewed all available films of the home straight to ascertain whether any marring had occurred. It was ascertained that when ZO LA DOE ran wide on the home turn SOSAN followed him outwards. There was however no evidence that any muzzle contact had occurred with no further action being deemed necessary. Graham McCormick the handler of the winner WEE PING DOLL was questioned in regards to the improved performance of his bitch. He replied that a recent downgrade and the ace draw helped her prospects adding that last start she got badly checked when in a handy position.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	ANOTHER GON was the last to jump with DYNA DIEGO drifting to the rear soon after. HARD HABITS was badly tightened on the bend dropping to the rear. HOMEBUSH HELEN received a check on the bend when angling inwards and coming together with FIREMANS SALUTE.
Race 4	Happy Birthday Shirley McMillan Dash - C5 - 295	KINGA MIKE and JED NORTON came together when well back on the bend.
Race 5	Little Brown Jug Stakes - C3 - 520	MIXED GRILL came together with OPAWA MIDNIGHT for a stride out of the boxes and settled at the rear. OPAWA MIDNIGHT checked off heels into the first bend and lost momentum.
Race 6	Hurunui Hotel Sprint - C5 - 295	NIPPA MARY was declared a late scratching after found to be slightly lame at the boxes. SEA SPRAY TICH was very slow from the inside with KNOW ADVANTAGE also dropping to the rear in the early stages.
Race 7	Barron's Supplies South Island Championship Heat - C5q - 520 Heat 1	ADMIRE was the slowest from the outside. MOLLY PAISLEY ran inwards in the early stages badly checking KNOW PEACE and ALISARAY with these runners settling at the rear. Into the first bend MAXIMUM JEWEL checked outwards and lost ground as ADMIRE shouldered up inside him while improving.
Race 8	Barron's Supplies South Island Championship Heat - C5q - 520 Heat 2	SAM I AM ran inwards in the early stages tightening KING OF CLUBS and KNOW SPUNK. KNOW SPUNK angled outwards on the first bend checking GRACE HILL and SAM I AM who lost ground. BADJA BALE angled off the back of the leader on the home turn and checked KNOW SPUNK for a stride. In the home straight KING OF CLUBS angled outwards briefly taking the line of SAM I AM.
Race 9	Barron's Supplies South Island Championship Heat - C5q - 520 Heat 3	TEDDY MARCELLO ran inwards checking KNOW WHICH for a stride soon after the start. MAMAJA angled down to the rails in the early stages. KNOW WHICH ran outwards soon after tightening TEDDY MARCELLO and MAGIC LASS. On the home turn GEOFF THE REF lost momentum when having to move outwards to get around the tiring GONE AWOL.
Race 10	Buy Sell & Exchange N.Z. Stayers Cup Heat - C2dq - 732 Heat 1	MORIARTY weighed in 2.3 kgs under his last race weight with this being a planned decrease. OPAWA EYE ran inwards into the first bend and came together with FELIXSTOWE. OPAWA EYE lost many lengths at this stage and finished at the rear with a post race veterinary check revealing no abnormalities. SONIC DUFFER ducked outwards on the home turn checking THRILLING JONAH for a stride.
Race 11	Buy Sell & Exchange N.Z. Stayers Cup Heat - C2dq - 732 Heat 2	OPAWA WIN was checked soon after the jump dropping to the rear. SOFIAS GIRL was tightened on the first bend and fell. She regained her paws and completed the event. AWESOME BENDER dropped out over the concluding stages. Post race veterinary checks of SOFIAS GIRL and AWESOME BENDER revealed slight cramp in both dogs with no stand downs deemed necessary.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	HOMEBUSH MAYHEM ducked inwards soon after the jump coming together with BASILIO BALE and losing ground. KNOX ran outwards in the early stages checking CAWBOURNE LEVI for a stride. RED CARPET was checked from behind by CAWBOURNE LEVI in the home straight losing momentum.
