Track: Dead The meeting was held in atrocious weather conditions but proceeded relatively smoothly which was a credit to the people required to be out in the wind and rain. The track was slushy but safe for racing.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	LITTLE BITTY GAL began awkwardly losing two lengths. SMIDGED shifted in from the start and collided with GERARD HAKA who was checked and lost ground. SMIDGED then shifted out and ran wide on the bend covering extra ground but finished well for 3rd placing.
Race 2	Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375	LADYLICIOUS and GREYWINDS KOBY collided at the start losing two lengths. WILD VAGABOND shifted out on the first corner and caused a slight check to BOBS YOUR UNCLE who was pushed a little wide going into the bend.
Race 3	GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 375	TE POPO JOE shifted in from the start and checked LILYLICIOUS who lost ground. CRYSTAL BANNER shifted out going to the first corner and checked SAND BUSTER and HOMEBUSH GWEN who fell and TE POPO JOE was unable to avoid HOMEBUSH GWEN and was brought down. The fallers were examined by the Vet and TE POPO JOE was stood down for 28 days with severe bruising and a gracilus injury. HOMEBUSH GWEN was also stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. CRYSTAL BANNER and SAND BUSTER both lost several lengths in the incident.
Race 4	Sparky's Bar & Restaurant C1 - C1 - 375	DASHER RUM escaped from the Handler during the stirrup and was a late scratching after running some distance and suffering from stopper pad injuries which resulted in a 7 day stand down. OH EMM EYE dropped out soon after the start and finished several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. THRILLING CLOUD was lame following the race, was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a spike wound.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C2 - C2 - 375	BOND ECLIPSE was slow to begin losing four lengths but she did make up ground to finish in 4th place. LEADFOOT LENNY led until approaching the home straight where he ran wide losing ground and finished in 2nd place. FLOATING AWAY was sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a webbing injury.
Race 6	www.racingdogs.co.nz C2 - C2 - 375	RADAR SHIRAZ was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then raced wide covering extra ground and finished in last place. LIGHTNING FEVER shifted in going to the first corner and checked BIGTIME KAREN who lost two lengths.
Race 7	Foxton Dash C3 - C3 - 375	TILT YOUR GLASS was slow to begin and he then raced wide but finished very well to win the race. GLENADDIS BOY shifted in and checked PARRA SPARRA going to the first corner.. SWIFT SWINGER shifted out going into the bend and collided with HOMEBUSH SCOTTY and they jostled for several strides losing several lengths and finished at the rear.
Race 8	Cloverlea Dash C3 - C3 - 375	HOMEBUSH LACEY was slow to begin losing three lengths. WISE CRACK LAD wanted to race away from the rail and shifted out going to the first corner and lost ground. He then shifted out again on the bend losing further ground and finished in last place. TURF MOOR was checked on the bend losing two lengths.
Race 9	Manawatu Raceway C4 - C4 - 375	RUN A BATH, THRILLING TUNE and RONAN MACHALL were checked losiing three lengths going to the first corner. RUN A BATH recovered the best of the three and finished in 3rd place.
Race 10	Marton Dash C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	SEMENYA was slow to begin losing two lengths. LITTLE BLACKSPOT shifted out on the home turn and forced SEMENYA out wide with both losing ground and they finished at the rear.
Race 11	Feilding Sprint C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	OUR PLAYBOY, THRILLING BUDDY, OPAWA THORN and BOTANY ANGELA were slow to begin losing three lengths. OPAWA THORN recovered the best of the four and he finished in 2nd place.
Race 12	Shannon Stakes C1 - C1 - 457	MUNCHIN KRUNCH was checked and lost two lengths going to the first cornner. LOUIELICIOUS led until well into the home straight but tired quickly and drifted back through the field to finish last. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
