| Race 1 | Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310 | CALM RITA, YALDHURST EDWARD and RUBYS GIRL were the last to jump. PUKEKO FLYER ran outwards in the early stages impeding RUBYS GIRL for a few strides. CALM RITA was tightened into the bend and ran outwards badly checking YALDHURST EDWARD and MAGGIE DEE with this runner falling. MAGGIE DEE regained her paws and completed the event with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310 | SURF QUAKE and HARES HOPING were the last to jump. Two strides after the start FROGGY NEWITT ran outwards and checked NEW ORDER who dropped to the rear. A post race veterinary check of NEW ORDER revealed a sore gracilis muscle with a five day stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | Keyosk Service Bar Stakes - C0 - 545 | MOON AND SEA from the inside and SECRET VENUS from the outside were the last to jump. WANDY CHLOE was tightened between runners into the first bend and dropped to the rear. SECRET VENUS ran very wide around that bend and lost ground. WANDY CHLOE received another check at the entrance to the back straight as SECRET NICOLE crossed to the rail in front of her. SHA CHAR was awkwardly away for a few strides but recovered quickly and was too strong giving Trainer Dylan Voyce his first win. |
| Race 4 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C1 - 310 | PADDO SCORE was very slow to leave the traps. CEE CEE ARE was momentarily tightened into the bend and then ran very wide on the home turn losing ground. |
| Race 5 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C2 - 310 | RANGITOTO ROHI angled inwards in the early stages tightening TOWER, JAFFA GUN and STAGS INGILL for a few strides. Into the bend an improving DECADO ran outwards checking ANOTHER COFFEE and STAGS INGILL who lost ground. Shortly after ANOTHER COFFEE ran inwards checking TOWER who dropped to the rear. |
| Race 6 | Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C3 - 310 | VAMPIRES SHADOW angled outwards in the early stages inconveniencing JUST A MATE and WANDY OLIVIA for a few strides. Into the bend JENNINGS ran outwards checking LETS DEBATE, MAINLAND STAR, VAMPIRES SHADOW and WANDY OLIVIA who lost varying amounts of ground. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner GENISTA TORNADO Trainers Michael May and Allan Joyce cited the recent downgrade and being out of trouble in today's race as the major reasons for the success. |
| Race 7 | Octane Al At Stud $250 - C1 - 545 | The outside trio of WEARY TRAVELER, SHADOW WOLF and BRASSED OFF were all a shade slow to begin. CALM SPIRIT received a check in the run to the first bend as BOBS EYE angled inwards. CALM SPIRIT then touched the hind quarters of WEARY TRAVELER into the bend and lost a couple of lengths. On that bend WEARY TRAVELER checked off the back of BRASSED OFF and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 8 | Roofing Solutions Sprint - C3 - 310 | JOHNNIE GEORGE settled last. TUI HOTLIPS angled outwards into the bend coming together with WANDY HALLEE and STAR GUN losing ground. MINIS FANTASY then contacted the back of WANDY HALLEE with both dogs dropping to the rear. |
| Race 9 | Green Island Super Liquor Stakes - C1/2 - 545 | FLYING REBEL and JUST TEASING were the last to jump. KNOW FUTURE ran inwards in the early stages checking BELLS WAY for a stride. BAKE BEAN BETTY ran outwards into the first bend checking THANKS CHARLIE with KNOW FUN being inconvenienced in behind and running wide losing ground. HOMEBUSH IRIS ran outwards on the home turn badly checking THANKS CHARLIE who was challenging for the lead. THANKS CHARLIE lost all momentum in this incident and lost ground to finish fifth with a post race veterinary check clearing him of injury. |
| Race 10 | Norwood Farm Machinery Sprint - C4 - 310 | WATERHOUSE was a clear last on jumping making good ground for second. OPAWA COLLAR checked outwards off runners into the bend when improving and lost momentum. |
| Race 11 | Roofing Solutions Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | BASILIO BALE was the last to jump. DYNA GROLL angled outwards in the early stages checking HOUSTON for a few strides. Wider out SHUNT APPEAL ran inwards with BASILIO BALE receiving a slight check. |
| Race 12 | Welcome Drayden Gawn Dash - C5 - 310 | KNOW ESCAPE was last to jump. JUMPIN JULIA checked off the back of QUEEN MOTHER in the early stages and dropped to the rear. Into the bend ROSCA checked off MAGIC YOU and ran outwards badly checking JED NORTON, JUMPIN JULIA and QUEEN MOTHER who lost their chances at this point. On the bend a rapidly improving KNOW ESCAPE ran out of room and lost momentum losing ground. He ran on again to finish third. |
| Race 13 | Green Island Super Liquor Sprint - C4 - 310 | HOMEBUSH EDITH was the slowest from the traps. Into the bend DYNA BROWNLOW who was in a handy position was dragged down by CAUGHT THE EYE and lost ground. A post race veterinary check of DYNA BROWNLOW revealed no injury. ANOTHER MATE ran inwards soon after and tightened OPAWA JACK and HOMEBUSH EDITH who both lost ground and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 14 | Racing Again 19th June Dash - C5 - 310 | KNOW ADVANTAGE was the last to jump. HOMEBUSH LIGNITE received a check and lost ground when racing on the outside of the pacemaking CAWBOURNE MOFF into the bend. |
