| Race 1 | Absolutely Electrical C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH WARRIOR was a late scratching when found to have a split toenail when removed from the kennels to prepare to race and he was stood down for 14 days. One of the favourites BIGTIME TREASURE was the slowest to begin. CAWBOURNE CASEY shifted out going into the bend and checked THAT IS ALL and BIGTIME TREASURE and they lost three lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305 | The favourite ALL THE RAGE began awkwardly losing two lengths and she then galloped on the back of HOMEBUSH KELLY on the first corner and dragged that runner down behind. ALL THE RAGE and HOMEBUSH ANABEL both lost ground in the incident and finished at the rear and HOMEBUSH KELLY was classed as falling and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305 | The favourite BIGTIME BENDER was the slowest to begin and she then received jostling from BILLY HAKA and was still last going into the bend. BIGTIME BENDER then made a foreward move in the field until checking off the heels of KEITHY GEE on the bend losing further griound and she finished in 6th place. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | RAMESSEE was checked and pushed wide going into the first bend. A few strides further on RAMESSEE collided with the hind quarters of SUREL YOU JEST and they both lost ground which they never recovered and they finished at the rear. |
| Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | CAWBOURNE TINA began well but shifted in causing a chain reaction of bumping which affected BOILED LOLLIES, TRENDY KNOCKAS and ANOTHER LADY who all lost ground and settled at the rear. CAWBOURNE TINA was handy to the leader on the first corner but then drifted back through the field and finished four lengths last. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and found to be suffering from pain in shoulder blade and calf muscles and a 14 day stand down was imposed. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 | BOTANY MATTHEW shifted in going to the first corner and checked THUNDA THIGHS who lost ground and went back to the rear. UPAHUT CINDY and MICK MANIA bumped together on the first corner and ran wide into the bend losing a little ground. |
| Race 7 | Broad Roofing C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | SALLY SAY SO shifted out soon after the start and jostled PARRA SPARRA and CAWBOURNE FLICK who both lost ground. PARRA SPARRA then shifted out and collided with HOMEBUSH SCOTTY with both dogs losing momentum. SALLY SAY SO continued to shifted out on the first corner which resulted in checks to itself and to PARRA SPARRA, CAWBOURNE FLICK, HOMEBUSH SCOTTY and HOMEBUSH BAZIL and they all lost ground and finished in the last five places. KELBY HAKA was awkwardly placed between GROOVY SHANE and MR DAPTO in the home straight and lost two lengths. The favourite MR DAPTO appeared to go up alongside the leader KELBY HAKA on the first corner but did not go past and his future races will be closely monitored. |
| Race 8 | Gary Ross Decorator C4 - C4 - 305 | Three of the better supported runners EMMAS HEART, ASTONISHING and BELFAST KING were slow to begin and they could not make up the lost ground and stayed back throughout to finish in the last three places. |
| Race 9 | Mickey's Super Liquor C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | REQUEST FUNDING, BOTANY ANGELA and ANOTHER STREET jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and they lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in the last three places. CAWBOURNE TOBES checked off the heels of DIRECT RESPONSE entering the home straight and lost ground. |
| Race 10 | NZRS Final - NZRSf - 520 | KAZZ RAZZ shifted in from the start and checked BIGTIME KINVARA and THRILLING TUNE who both lost ground. General tightening on the first corner resulted in checks to REGAL DANCER, THRILLING TUNE, KAZZ RAZZ and MISSING MELODY who all lost ground. BULET TOOTH TONY was checked on the first bend and went back causing checks to REGAL DANCER, THRILLING TUNE and MISSING MELODY and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in the last four places. The favourite BIGTIME KINVARA appeared to falter going into the back straight and lost momentum. He then drifted back from the two leading dogs and eventually finished in 3rd place and was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. BULET TOOTH TONY was also examined by the Vet and was stood down for 21 days with a dislocated toe. |
| Race 11 | Wanganui Security C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | BELFAST NODDIE, FLAG WAVER and TALEEDY TROOPER jostled together for several strides soon after the start and they all lost ground, settled at the rear and stayed there throughout the remainder of the race. |
| Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | CIAO FOR NOW was checked and lost ground soon after the start but recovered to finish in 2nd place. BERRIDALE BULLET was checked and went back to last on the first corner but then secured a clear inside run and finished well for 4th place. |
