Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer Richard Breen was fined $75.00 under Rules 88.1.o and 110.4 after admitting a breach of those Rules when OPAWA JACK escaped as the dogs were being unloaded before the races. The Otago GRC was fined $100.00 after admitting a breach of Rule 46.11 after a C3 dog, DYNA FRIER, was placed in the field before C4 runners. This dog was declared a Club scratching.

Race 1	Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310	OPAWA PRINCE and PUKEKO FLYER were the last to jump. BUTTER FLYER ran inwards checking MAGGIE DEE soon after the jump. Closer in JUST KRISTY angled outwards checking PENNY BLUE SOX and BUTTER FLYER who lost ground. Into the bend MAYMAYS JEM ran outwards tightening MAGGIE DEE who then ran inwards and made contact with the rail losing ground. A post race veterinary check of MAGGIE DEE revealed no injury.
Race 2	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 545	TOP PLAYER was awkwardly away but recovered quickly to be handy into the first bend. SECRET NADIA angled inwards in the early stages checking SECRET NICOLE who lost ground. OPAWA PATCH was then checked soon after. Into that first bend OPAWA STU was tightened and lost ground with AUTUMN SPIRIT receiving a check in behind. NOGGIN and SECRET NADIA came together soon after. On the home turn SECRET NADIA was held up for room on the inside of TOP PLAYER. SECRET NADIA finished well for third when clear.
Race 3	Keyosk Service Bar Sprint - C1 - 310	NEW YORK AFFAIR, PRIMITIVE, NEW ORDER and GRANT A DOLLAR were all a shade slow to jump. GRANT A DOLLAR checked off NEW YORK AFFAIR into the bend as that runner shifted away from the rail and ran outwards pushing the favourite PRIMITIVE very wide with both runners losing their chances. PRINCELY DOLLAR was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground.
Race 4	Norwood Farm Machinery Sprint - C2 - 310	FOGGY STORM was the last to jump. BOTANY BARB ran outwards into the bend checking MR. CAMEROON who dropped to the rear.
Race 5	President's Stakes - C1 - 545	SHADOW WOLF and RAY DOSH were tightened in the early stages and dropped to the rear. OPAWA BLAZE was tightened into the first bend as MISS OZARK angled outwards. WEARY TRAVELER was checked into the first bend as SHADOW WOLF angled outwards with WEARY TRAVELER being forced wide around that bend.
Race 6	Roofing Solutions Sprint - C1 - 310	RULE JUDGE JUDY and DOGGER BANK came together in the early stages. Into the bend BLICKLING BRIDGE was keen to get away from the rail and in doing so badly checked himself, DOGGER BANK and ANOTHER STAR with these runners losing their chances.
Race 7	Green Island Super Liquor Sprint - C3 - 310	SING CILLA BLACK was a clear last on jumping. In the early stages GENISTA OUTLAW ran inwards tightening TUI HOTLIPS and ALWAYS A STORY who lost ground. The favourite POWERFAST PIPPA was dragged down into the bend and ran outwards pushing GENISTA OUTLAW outwards with TUI HOTLIPS also being forced wide and losing ground. RAISINS was checked on the bend and lost momentum. POWERFAST PIPPA dropped out to run last after her check with a post race veterinary check revealing some minor grazes with no stand down being deemed necessary.
Race 8	Roofing Solutions Stakes - C3 - 545	ARCHIES JET was the last to jump. This dog was tightened on the first bend dropping to the rear before running on late to dead-heat for fourth. GLYNIS BALE ran wide into the first bend and lost ground.
Race 9	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C1 - 310	JAMES ARTHUR was the last to jump from the inside. WHAT A DUMP ran outwards in the initial stages tightening SOCRATES, YELLOW DIAMONDS and OLD OZARK who lost ground. BLACK JAY ran outwards into the bend losing ground while wider out WHAT A DUMP continued her wide passage pushing OLD OZARK over considerable extra ground.
Race 10	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C4 - 310	MUSTARD FUDGE was the last to jump. In the run down the back straight DYNA BROWNLOW angled outwards as HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN ran inwards resulting in MUSTARD FUDGE, OPAWA COLLAR, ANOTHER MATE and JENNINGS all being tightened and losing ground. Soon after OPAWA COLLAR ran inwards badly checking MUSTARD FUDGE who dropped to the rear.
Race 11	Norwood Farm Machinery Stakes - C4/5 - 545	AWESOME BENDER was the last on settling. The favourite RITZA NIGHT received a check on the home turn when angling inwards and coming together with EMILY BAXTER for a stride. RITZA NIGHT finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing a sore right shoulder with a five day stand down recommended..
Race 12	NZ Racing Series Final - NZRSf - 545	MAMAJA was last to jump with KNOW WHICH receiving a check soon after and dropping to the rear.
Race 13	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C5 - 310	KNOW ESCAPE was the last away with DYNA DIEGO also settling well back. MAGIC YOU was tightened into the bend and lost ground. GENISTA GARDENS brushed the rail into the home straight and ran outwards checking MAGIC YOU and DYNA DIEGO when these dogs were in rearward positions.
Race 14	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Dash - C5 - 310	BASILIO BALE was last on jumping. WAFFLER and SANTA SLOY came together into the bend dropping to the rear with these two runners again making contact on the home turn when well back.
Race 15	Racing Again 5th June Sprint - C4 - 310	SOSAN ran inwards in the back straight coming together with CAUGHT THE EYE and then ran outwards checking WATERHOUSE who lost ground.
