Race 1 Super Pets Stakes - C1 - 520 MIGHTY PROPHET ran outwards in the early stages coming together with RAMBUNCTUOUS and HOMEBUSH BAD BOY who lost ground. SITE AN EXCUSE and KNOW CHAOS came together for a stride in the run to the first bend. On the bend KNOW CHAOS ran outwards and lost ground pushing OPAWA CHARLIE over extra ground.
Race 2 Kolorful Kanvas Maiden Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 1 FUR PATROL ran outwards in the early stages checking OPAWA STU and RITE ROUND RANGE who lost ground. FUR PATROL, BOOZE UP and OHOKA BLUE all ran wide around the first bend losing ground with FUR PATROL continuing to use most of track in the back straight.
Race 3 Yaldhurst Tavern Sprint - C0 - 295 DONT CALL ME was very slow from the traps with CALM RITA also settling towards the rear. MIGHTY MONICA ran inwards soon after the jump checking SUMMER HAKA who lost ground. Into the bend HOMEBUSH GRETA checked outwards off the back of BOTANY VIXEN with GEORGIE WONG receiving a severe check and dropping out to the rear.
Race 4 Kolorful Kanvas Maiden Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 2 OPAWA PATCH and PAROLE TO EXCEL were the last to jump. Into the first bend the favourite SURF GIRL was badly dragged down when vying for the lead and fell. BABY JAMES then ran outwards checking PAROLE TO EXCEL when avoiding the fallen dog. Soon after RIZZ AROUND checked off the back of OPAWA PATCH and lost a considerable amount of ground. A post race veterinary check of SURF GIRL revealed a fractured leg with a 28 day stand down recommended.
Race 5 Addington Events Centre Dash - C0 - 295 HOMEBUSH COLT was a clear last on jumping. VALENTINES DAY ran outwards in the early stages inconveniencing HOMEBUSH COLT and AXEL ROWS. Into the bend REDIAL was badly dragged down by VALENTINES DAY with REDIAL losing ground and running wide. AXEL ROWS was checked in this incident. A post race veterinary check of REDIAL revealed no injury.
Race 6 Kolorful Kanvas Maiden Stakes - C0q - 520 Heat 3 LAW TO EXCEL, OPAWA MIATA and GRIDIRON all dwelt at the start. In the run to the first bend BOTANY PRANCER contacted the back of NOT A KNOW who then ran outwards checking BOTANY PRANCER with this runner losing ground. OHOKA HART and GRIDIRON were shunted wide to avoid this incident. In the back straight BOTANY PRANCER checked off the back of GRIDIRON with OHOKA HART again being inconvenienced and dropping away.
Race 7 Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295 HAMPDEN SPIRIT was the last to jump. JUST A MATE angled inwards in the back straight with RED CARPET, BIGTIME YAHOO and especially REAL SLIM SHADY being tightened and losing ground. Soon after HOMEBUSH KALAMA crossed to the rail causing a slight check to JUST A MATE who lost some momentum.
Race 8 Hampden Tavern Stakes Final - C1f - 520 NITRO EXPRESS was slow from the traps. THANKS CHARLIE ran outwards in the early stages checking KOMBUCHA who lost ground. Into the first bend TAKE NO PRISONERS angled away from the rail pushing FROGGY NEWITT wider with SILVIA SUE being checked on the outside of that runner.
Race 9 Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C1 - 295 WISE WONDER and PADDO SCORE were the last to jump. CAWBOURNE CASEY ran inwards and checked RADIATOR SPRINGS in the early stages. WHERES SLOY, CAWBOURNE CASEY and SWIP TASTIC jostled together in tight quarters into the bend. RADIATOR SPRINGS then ran outwards checking WHERES SLOY for a stride. Into the bend NIKAU DANNY ran outwards dragging WISE WONDER down with both runners losing ground. NIKAY DANNY then came together with CAWBOURNE CASEY with both dogs being badly checked. Post race veterinary checks of NIKAU DANNY and WISE WONDER revealed slight cramp to WISE WONDER with no stand down considered necessary.
Race 10 Canteen-Supporting Young Kiwis Living With Cancer Stakes - C1 - 520 PIED WARRIOR was a clear last on jumping. OPAWA FLYER ran outwards into the first bend forcing HOMEBUSH LESTAT over extra ground. On the home turn JUDGE TO EXCEL angled outwards causing a slight check to BOTANY NANA who lost ground.
Race 11 Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C1 - 295 LADY IN SHADES and FANTA ALERT came together soon after the jump. FANTA ALERT then ran inwards checking LADY IN SHADES and KUNG FU TEDDY who lost ground. Into the bend MAXIS MATE was tightened and hit the rail losing ground with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Soon after FIERY FLOWER angled outwards checking the favourite WAZZA FREEBIE and OUR REBEL GIRL who lost ground. WAZZA FREEBIE recovered well to finish a close second.
Race 12 Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 LIFE WITH DEXTER ran outwards coming together with RANGITOTO ROHI in the early stages. Into the bend LIFE WITH DEXTER checked outwards off the back of RANGITOTO ROHI and lost many lengths and his chance.
