BIGTIME KELINA recovered to finish well for 3rd placing but GIRLY DREAMZ stayed back to finish in last place. GIRLY DREAMZ was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a sartorius muscle injury. |
| Race 2 | Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375 | KUROHARA turned in the boxes, missed the start by several lengths and finished a long last and is required to complete a box trial under Rule 72.13. KUROHARA was examined by the Vet and stood down for 6 days with quadricep muscle pain. LOOKS DECIEVING was checked going into the bend and went back onto ELOUERA BABE and ALL THE RAGE with all three dogs lost ground. |
| Race 3 | GEON Wellington C2 - C2 - 375 | EMMAS SECRET shifted in from the start and checked WHAT WHERE WHEN and HUSKY HAKA who both lost ground. LIGHTNING FEVER shifted in going to the first corner and checked TILT YOUR GLASS and HOMEBUSH LACEY and they lost five lengths and all chance of a first four placing. TILT YOUR GLASS suffered a toenail injury, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days. |
| Race 4 | Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C1 - C1 - 457 | The favourite MUNCHIN KRUNCH was checked going into the bend and he went back to last but then ran on well to finish in 4th place. SAUCY TOMATO was checked on the home turn and went back and out bumping WILD VAGABOND who was pushed wide . |

| Race 6 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C3 - C3 - 375 | HOMEBUSH ALEX began awkwardly losing five lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. FLOATING AWAY and CHELSEAS BEAUTY bumped together when the start was made and both lost ground. FLOATING AWAY suffered a split webbing and was stood down for 14 days. |
| Race 7 | Foxton Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | FLAG WAVER shifted in going to the first corner and checked LITTLE BLACKSPOT and CAWBOURNE MO who both lost ground. CAWBOURNE MO and EMMA MARIE collided on the home turn and lost ground. CAWBOURNE MO suffered an injury in the incident, was examined by the Vet and was humanely euthanased due to a fractured hock. |
| Race 8 | Shannon Sprint C4/5 - C4/5 - 375 | PIN UP PUPPY began well but then drifted going to the first corner and BOTANY ANGELA who was following was hindered for several strides. Once in the clear, BOTANY ANGELA finished well for 2nd placing. |
| Race 9 | Manawatu Cup Final C5 - C5f - 457 | MINT POWER was slow to begin losing two lengths and he stayed well back throughout. BARRYS WAY was checked going into the bend losing ground and he stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 10 | Cloverlea Dash C4/5 - C4/5 - 375 | LETHAL REBEL shifted in from the start and checked NIP TUCK who settled at the rear. NIP TUCK then raced very wide on the bend over extra ground but finished well for 3rd placing. KAZZ RAZZ shifted in soon after the start and checked BOTANY MATTHEW who lost a little ground. CHARLI CLANG and MINDARIVA were checked on the bend and went back to the rear. |
| Race 11 | Marton Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 | JAG YOU ARE and ENDORSE were slow to begin losing two lengths. HUSTLER and THRILLING ISSUES were handy enough going to the first corner but they were checked back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race. |
| Race 12 | Feilding Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | FREDDY JOHN and MR METICULOUS were slow to begin losing two lengths but they recovered to finish in 2nd and 4th places. |
