| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 | The favourite ASTONISHING was slow to begin losing two lengths. She then made up ground well to be handy approaching the home turn but then shifted out and collided with BINTY FLAHERTY and became unbalanced and lost ground finishing in 6th place. HOMEBUSH NELSON and BLAIR NINETY collided on the first corner and lost four lengths and BLAIR NINETY then made contact with the rail a few strides later and lost further ground. He was examined by the Vet and stood doown for 5 days suffering from pain in bicep and calf muscles. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305 | FAWN ALLEGRO began a little awkwardly losing ground and was in last place going to the first corner but received a clear run through the field to win the race. The favourite RANDOM ACT drew box 8 and was forced to race wide on the track but was handy approaching the straight entrance where he was galloped on by KUROHARA and went back to last and finished in that position. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury apart from a minor spike wound. |

| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305 | The start was delayed by 2 minutes at the request of T.A.B control. One of the favourites COOL EXPLORER was very slow to begin losing four lengths and all chance and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305 | STUMPY KASHKOW, CAWBOURNE ELLEN and CHELSEAS BEAUTY came together and jostled at the start and lost ground. MEGA RUSH and HOMEBUSH KITTY jostled together going to the first corner and they lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in the last two places. The favourite STUMPY KASHKOW raced wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished in 5th place. MEGA RUSH and BILLY WHIZ also covered extra ground by racing wide. |
| Race 6 | GEON Wellington C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | WOT PRICE AGRO shifted in going to the first corner and checked LIL MISS KRUNCH and THRILLING ANNIE who both lost ground. Soon after, UNTEACHABLE checked off the heels of TAILS OFF and went back and out checking THRILLING ANNIE and LIL MISS KRUNCH and they ran wide into the first bend losing several lengths. THRILLING ANNIE recovered from the incident and made up ground to finish in 3rd place but LIL MISS KRUNCH raced very wide on the bend into the straight and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 7 | Wanganui Security C4 Feature - SPECA - 305 | This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of T.A.B control. REQUEST FUNDING was one of the slowest to begin but secured a clear run through adjacent to the rail to win the race. AMBLE UP and GROOVY BANDIT were checked losing ground going to the first corner and GROOVY BANDIT was again checked on the bend and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 8 | Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK LEE and ANOTHER DRIZZLE were the slowest to begin and they were checked going to the first corner when runners drawn further out shifted in towards the rail. SEDGEBRROK LEE recovered to finish in 3rd place but ANOTHER DRIZZLE was checked again on the bend and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 | CHAINSAW PETE and SIXTY TWENTY were slow to begin and settled at the rear. They ran a little wide into the first bend losing further ground and stayed back to finish at the rear. |
| Race 10 | Mickey's Super Liquor C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | STIFF shifted in from the start and checked BELFAST NODDIE and IMA SPICE who both lost ground. STATELY BABE shifted in on the first corner and tightened STIFF who was forced in onto PIN UP PUPPY who checked back onto BOUND BY PRIDE and IMA SPICE and they lost several lengths and finished at the rear. STIFF also lost ground and the chance of a first four placing in the incident. |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | CIAO FOR NOW shifted in from the start and caused bumping to LETHAL REBEL and BERELLA CHELSEA who both lost a little momentum. CAWBOURNE LORNA went off stride going into the bend and drifted off the back of the field to finish several lengths last and she was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. |
| Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | ART DECO crowded ROSEMORE OSTI going to the first corner and ROSEMORE OSTI eventually checked losing three lengths but she fought back and was beaten for first place narrowly by ART DECO. |
