| Race 1 | General Engravers Sprint - C2 - 375 | BINGO STARR was slowest away from the start ,he then ran out wide around the bend with SASHA'S ONE and in to the home straight with both these runners covering a lot of extra ground in the running ,SASHA'S ONE ran on in the home straight to finish in 5 th placing |
| Race 2 | Kirstie McGrail @ Harcourts Stakes - C1 - 457 | Racing towards the home straight HEZA SENSATION and LAMARS LADY bumped for a stride ,soon after straightning for the run in HEZA SENTATION was tightened out of a gap as LAMAR'S LADY came in as FUTURE PROOF came through on the rail ,HEZA SENSATION lost momentum and several lengths at that point |
| Race 3 | YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C4 - 375 | MY GIRL COOKIE was pushed in to the corner of the lure carriage at the pull up as other runners pushed her from behind ,she was vetted and was found to havea small skin injury to left shoulder and carrying left hind leg ,but could put weight on it with a 10 day stand down recommended |
| Race 4 | The Straw Warehouse LTD Sprint - C3 - 375 | Racing down to the first turn PREDATOR DRONE and KYANN came together for several strides with KYANN racing ahead forcing PREDADOR DRONE to check back off her heels losing ground ,soon after racing in to the top bend PREDATOR DRONE ran on to the heels of COOL AND DRY and ran outwards taking MISS FOLEY wide across the top bend |
| Race 5 | Group One NZ Derby Heat 1 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 1 | EABLE, INISHRUSH and DARLEK KHAN all bumped as they left the boxes On the point of the home turn ENABLE checked off heels going out wide and ran on strongly in the straight for 5th placing |
| Race 6 | Group One NZ Derby Heat 2 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 2 | From the boxes LOCHINVAR LAREDO ran over on to THANKS MERCEDES who was pushed over on to GEOFF THE REF with THANKS MERCEDES getting to the lead with LOCHINVAR LAREDO coming across and jostling THANKS MERCEDES for some distance as they raced in to the first turn Racing in to the home straight JINGARANGO ran out in to GEOFF THE REF when having to take evasive action in avoiding the heels of THANKS MERCEDES |
| Race 7 | Group One NZ Derby Heat 3 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 3 | The race was put back 3 minutes due to the lure needing to be changed over ,it was run approx 6 mins over time Racing in to the first turn BARRY'S WAY was forced to check back off the heels of ON TREY and went back a couple of lengths |
| Race 8 | Group One NZ Derby Heat 4 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 4 | Racing down to the first turn LOCHINVAR VALERO and ADMIRE came together and jostled for some distance Racing in to the top bend THRILLING HAVOC almost run on to the heels of the leader GRIZZ ,THRILLING HAVOC lost a length or so and some momentum for a stride or two at that point |
| Race 9 | Group One NZ Derby Heat 5 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 5 | Racing in to the first bend LACHLAN'S CASH ran in on to PARRA SPARRA knocking this runner off balance for a stride or two with these two dogs both losing a couple of lengths at that point |
| Race 10 | 0800 4 Down Cow Stakes - C5 - 457 | Soon after leaving the boxes THRILLING TALE shortened stride and was very uncomfortable in his galloping action finishing a distance in the rear at the line THRILLING TALE was sent for a vet check where he was found to have suffered a ruptured left triceps muscle injury with a 28 day stand down recommended Racing across the top bend THRILLING BOLT came over on to MONSHIRAZ who tightened MINT POWER over on to heels with MINT POWER being checked back towards the rear |
| Race 11 | Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Series Final - C5f - 375 | LOCHINVAR YASI got his paw caught in the kennels earlier in the evening and was vetted then and revetted at pre race presentation with no abnormalities found Soon after leaving the boxes FANCY MILLY came across on to LOCHINVAR YASI as MATANUSKA came out on to TRIPLE TEE ,soon after MATANUSKA bullied his way through runners to towards the lead with TRIPLE TEE being severly tightened and went down on his haunches for a stride as LOCHINVAR YASI and FANCY MILLY came aross as they raced in to the bend TRIPLE TEE went back to the rear and was uncomfortable after pulling up to the lure ,he was sent for a vet check where he was found to have suffered a dislocated 2nd digit left hind with a laceration &dorsal webbing and punture over m.p joint with a 28 day stand own recommended |
| Race 12 | Victoria Station Sprint - C4/5 - 375 | Soon after the start ASSERT and COOL CHARMER came together and jostled for a couple of strides ,soon after ASSERT crossed over causing COOL CHARMER to be checked back a few lengths ,racing on to the top bend DALLAS BEAUTY and LETHEL REBEL struck trouble with DALLAS BEAUTY being tightened and getting on heels and stumbled for a stride then ran out taking LETHEL REBEL wide across the top bend |
| Race 13 | Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Stakes - C1/2 - 457 | Soon after leaving the boxes DEE KAY EM came across on to DELICHON URBICA and jostled her for a distance with DELICHON URBICA becoming unbalanced for several strides going back to the rear finishing in last placing at the line DELICHON URBICA was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found . |
| Race 14 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Stakes - C3 - 457 | MR CHINO was away well from the inside draw , but was soon in trouble with runners coming across where he was forced to check of the heels of HOMEBUSH WILD and went back a couple of lengths ,MR CHINO then attempted to get out wide but was held up for a bit ,when he got clear out wide he ran on very strongly in the home straight making up many lengths to be in a tight photo finish for the minor placings |
