Judicial report: Trainers A Joyce and M May were fined $100.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 the details of which are that YELLOW DIAMONDS weighted in at 29.7 kgs which was 2 kgs above his last race weight on 6 March 2012.

Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | The favourite JAMES ARTHUR was the last to jump. WANDY LUCK began quickly from wide out and ran inwards sharply crossing in front of OHOKA SUMMER, THEOKOLES and BIGTIME YAHOO and coming together with BELFAST GLENDA who lost ground. OKOTOKS angled outwards into the bend checking BELFAST GLENDA who again lost ground and drifted to the rear. |
Race 2 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C0 - 295 | The favourite HOME TRUTH was a shade slow but recovered quickly to be handy on the turn. CAPUA ran inwards into the bend checking UPSALA JEWEL and JUMPIN JALAPENO who both lost ground. KING LEO was held up in behind these runners. CAPUA and UPSALA JEWEL were both dragged down in this incident with both dogs being subject to post race veterinary checks with no abnormalities being detected. |
Race 3 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295 | NITRO EXPRESS was the last to jump. Into the bend OLD OZARK was attempting to get to the outside and was badly checked by NITRO EXPRESS in the process. OLD OZARK then dropped out to run 16.3 lengths last. Trainer John Guthrie advised Stewards that the dog would not be racing again at Addington and was advised that the dog would have to complete a Satisfactory Trial before nominating to race on the course in the future. |
Race 4 | Business Time At Stud Sprint - C0 - 295 | YELLOW DIAMONDS weighed in 2kgs over his last race weight with co-trainer Allan Joyce advising that this was a planned weight increase. YALDHURST EDWARD and FEAR GO were slow to jump. HAZZAS LAD ducked inwards at the jump but was clear of other dogs. |
Race 5 | Happy Birthday Gordon Kingston Stakes - C0 - 520 | RAY DOSH was last to jump. MONTY DOSH ran inwards in the early stages checking BLONDE TORI and RITE ROUND RANGE with these littermates both losing ground. FUR PATROL ran wide into the first bend losing ground and continued to run wide throughout finishing in last position. |
Race 6 | Canteen-Supporting Young Kiwis Living With Cancer Sprint - C1 - 295 | This race was put back by two minutes due to a delay at the Otago gallops. OHOKA GERRY and ZED KAY MAN were both slow to jump. On the bend KNOW LOVE AFFAIR angled inwards coming together with JAFFA GUN with KNOW LOVE AFFAIR losing momentum. |
Race 7 | Wizelee At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520 | This event was deferred by one minute due to the previous delay. FINGER POP and MISS OZARK were the slowest from the traps. A combination of FINGER POP running outwards and MIGHTY PROPHET angling inwards resulted in ULTIMATE SPICE receiving a severe check and dropping to the rear. A post race veterinary check of ULTIMATE SPICE revealed no injury. WEARY TRAVELER ran outwards into the back straight pushing MISS OZARK over extra ground. On the home turn MIGHTY PROPHET checked outwards off WEARY TRAVELER and pushed MISS OZARK wide again with these runners losing ground. |
Race 8 | Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C1 - 295 | CRIXUS was the last to jump. UNO IMOGENE was tightened along the rail into the bend and lost ground while soon after RUNWAY QUEEN received a check as JOHNNYS BLUE crossed from her outside. CRIXUS checked off the back of VITALIZE on the bend losing momentum. |
Race 9 | I Pave Concrete Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | PIED WARRIOR and FUN TIME GIRL were slow to jump. FLYING REBEL and DANCING NORRIS came together for a stride in the early stages. On the first bend LEGEND BEE and HAUKO came together as HAUKO was trying to cross simultaneously with LEGEND BEE angling outwards.. |
Race 10 | Sensative Harry At Stud Dash - C2 - 295 | COOLS THE TUNE was tightened into the bend and dropped out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
Race 11 | Carol's T.A.B Sprint - C1 - 295 | TUI HOTLIPS was the last to jump. FINN MCMISSILE ran inwards in the early stages checking HALF THROTTLE. Into the bend HUSKER DU crossed in front of HALF THROTTLE with HUSKER DU being dragged down for a stride. Simultaneously KNOW TRUST angled slightly outwards with HALF THROTTLE having to check outwards sharply badly checking FROGGY NEWITT who was pushed off the track. In behind these runners FINN MCMISSILE had nowhere to go and fell. This dog completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH BORIS was the last to jump. In the early stages HOMEBUSH KALAMA crossed to the rail checking BELFAST SUZY who dropped to the rear. CAWBOURNE CASEY ran wide on the bend forcing HOMEBUSH BORIS over extra ground. |
