| Race 1 | GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 305 | The favourite BOILED LOLLIES was one of the slowest to begin and then raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in 5th place. MAINLAND SONIC from box 3 wanted to race away from the rail going to the first corner and shifted out causing checks to itself and KUROHARA, HOMEBUSH SUE and BOILED LOLLIES who all lost ground with MAINLAND SONIC the most affected in the incident and he finished last. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH NELSON shifted in from the start and caused checks to THAT IS ALL, CAWBOURNE AVA, LEOS GIRL and STONES RIVER who was the most affected in the incident. The favourite EMMAS SECRET was a little slow to begin but was in 2nd place going into the bend where she checked off the back of the leader HOMEBUSH DUSTY losing two lengths and she finished in 2nd place. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305 | HAPPY CLAPPY and HOMEBUSH BRUCE jostled together going to the first corner and they lost ground and finished at the rear. MEGA RUSH went to the lead on the bend but ran wide and went back to 3rd but then ran on well to win. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305 | LANSVALE SPARK was slow to begin losing four lengths. HOMEBUSH DIGBY shifted in going to the first corner and checked SHEEZA MEESHA who lost four lengths but she recovered and finished well for 3rd placing. HOMEBUSH DIGBY continued to shift in going into the bend and checked HUSKY HAKA who went back and out causing checks to HOMEBUSH SCOTTY and HOMEBUSH JEM and all three dogs lost ground and finished in the last three places. |
| Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 520 | JOE BANNER shifted in from the start and checked THRILLING GRACE who settled well back in the field. BULLABAKANKA led going to the back straight but gradually drifted back from there and finished three lengths last and he was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 6 | Wanganui Security C3 - C3 - 305 | REQUEST FUNDING was very slow to begin losing five lengths. SHALF shifted in going to the first corner dictating the line of LARA PINTER and HOMEBUSH ZITA and this movement resulted in THRILLING LYRIC being checked and losing ground. REQUEST FUNDING then galloped on the back of THRILLING LYRIC dragging that runner down and they both lost several lengths. THRILLING LYRIC was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with pain to tricep and quadricep muscles. AMBLE UP shifted in on the bend and checked HOMEBUSH BAZIL who went back and out checking SHALF and they lost five lengths and all chance of a first four placing. |
| Race 7 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK ELITE and CHAINSAW PETE were slow to begin losing two lengths and they then raced a little wide covering extra ground on the bend. |
| Race 8 | Broad Roofing C3/4 - C3/4 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK LEE was a little slow to begin losing a length but then secured a clear run through on the rail and finished in 3rd place. The favourite JENNINGS drew box 8 and was forced to race wide. He then checked off the heels of ROYAL PARDON approaching the home turn losing ground and finished in 5th place. |
| Race 9 | Keenan Concrete C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | MR JAZZ MAN shifted in from the start and forced SASSAFRAS in onto JUST MAC who was checked and JUST MAC then clipped the heels of SASSAFRAS losing further ground and went back to last. JUST MAC then brushed against the rail twice on the first corner and was checked losing three lengths entering the back straight when TAILS OFF shifted in and JUST MAC stayed back to finish in last place. SASSAFRAS and EFF FIVE WARNING bumped together entering the back straight with both losing a little ground. EFF FIVE WARNING checked off the heels of SASSAFRAS on the final bend losing two lengths. |
| Race 10 | Mickey's Super Liquor C5 Ht1 - C5q - 305 Heat 1 | STATELY BABE shifted in to the rail on the first corner and checked BOTANY ANGELA and AERIAL BAXTER who went back to the rear and they never recovered and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C5 Ht2 - C5q - 305 Heat 2 | ANOTHER DRIZZLE and CAWBOURNE FLICK were slow to begin losing two lengths. STIFF shifted out going to the first corner and checked ROSEMORE OSTI and DONNA BAXTER who both lost ground. A few strides further on DONNA BAXTER shifted in and checked ROSEMORE OSTI who went back to last and she never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 12 | The Rock 95.2FM C5 Ht3 - C5q - 305 Heat 3 | THRILLING BUDDY was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed back throughout to finish last. SUIT YOURSELF was checked on the first corner and lost ground. IMA SPICE shifted out on the bend and bumped LETHAL REBEL on two occasions which affected LETHAL REBEL'S momentum but he fought on well to finish in 2nd place behind IMA SPICE. |
