Judicial report: Trainer A Lawrence was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when BOY SPICE ( race 6 ) was presented 1.8 kilograms up from its last start weight on 04.03.12.
CAFE CHIC, a starter in race 5, turned in the boxes losing all chance and is required to complete a box trial under the provisions of Rule 72.13 before it can start in a race.

Race 1	0800 4 Down Cow Sprint - C2 - 375	The start was delayed for 3 minutes when the box lids failed to open due to a malfunction and the dogs were removed and examined by the Vet and the lids were activated manually for the restart. The cause of the malfunction was rectified and the meeting proceeded without further problems The favourite EMMA JAY began very awkwardly losing five lengths but ran on well to finish in 3rd place. HOTWAX and DOWNEY collided entering the home straight with both losing ground and they finished well back.
Race 2	YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C0 - 375	FORECASTER was slow to begin losing three length but he recovered to finish in 3rd place. HEZA SENSATION galloped on the back of AKKADIAN on the first corner and they went back causing resutant checks to STAR BOUND, NEK MINUTE and LOVIN THE ALIEN and they all lost ground and finished in the last five places..
Race 3	Varvatos @ Stud Sprint - C1 - 375	MARTYN STREET was a little slow to begin losing two lengths. Two of the better supported runners THRILLING CLOUD and MR MAJESTIC settled back in the field and failed to make much impression on the leaders in the straight but were not too far behind at the finish in 5th and 8th places.
Race 4	Garrards Horse and Hound Sprint - C1 - 375	One of the favourites PINT STAR jumped on terms with the other runners but was checked back to last soon after. She then secured a clear rails run and finished well for 2nd placing.
Race 5	Varvatos @ Stud Stakes - C3 - 457	CAFE CHIC turned in the boxes and missed the start by a long distance and finished a long last and is required to complete a satisfactory box trial before next starting at a totalisator meeting. COTSWALD PRINCE shifted in going to the first corner and checked MR CHINO who lost ground. MR CHINO galloped on the back of STORMY RHODE approaching the home turn and STORM RHODE lost four lengths and all chance.
Race 6	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Sprint - C3/4 - 375	MARKS PET was slow to begin losing two lengths and she then raced wide throughout and finished in last place. BOY SPICE shifted out going to the first corner and checked BEATRIX KIDDO and DONT KNOW who both lost a little ground.
Race 7	All Sew Embroidery Stakes - C2 - 457	SEEING EXCUSES shifted in on the first corner and checked GLORIANNA who went back and out causing checks to WINSOME JOLIE, HOT POOTIE and PAMPEST who all lost ground with WINSOME JOLIE the most affected and she lost four lengths and tailed the field from there to the finish
Race 8	Te Awamutu Self Storage Sprint - C5 - 375	DARLEK KHAN was a little slow to begin losing a length. ASTON RED and GRIZZ were tightened and checked on the first corner as dogs drawn further out shifted in and they both lost ground. LOCHINVAR YASI shifted out approaching the straight entrance and forced MATANUSKA wide and MATANUSKA then had to change ground to the inside of LOCHINVAR YASI and made up ground to finish in 3rd place. The winner RIPPED JEANS made contact with the lure and was sore following the race and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with cuts to the legs which required suturing.
Race 9	Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C4 - 375	JULIA NORRIS shifted out from the start and checked ROADMANS SHACK and HARAJUKU GIRL who both lost ground. JULIA NORRIS and ROADMANS SHACK bumped together for a few strides on the bend and they both lost momentum. BLUE JEAN ALICE and MOON WARROWER jostled together for a couple of strides entering the home straight.
Race 10	Fond Foods LTD Stakes - C5 - 457	LOCHINVAR LAREDO shifted in from the start and caused checks to SNICKO, THRILLING TALE and SWIFT SWINGER who all lost ground. OLLIE FONZ checked off the heels of LOCHINVAR VALERO going to the first corner and lost a couple of lengths. SNICKO checked of the back of OLLIE FONZ on the bend and lost ground but recovered to finish well for 3rd placing.
