Race 1	ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C5 - 390	HONKING HORNS was the last to jump. CAWBOURNE DUSTY received a slight check as OUR BEOWULF crossed from his outside in the early stages. Into the first bend PERSIAN OIL and OUR BEOWULF were both badly checked as they came together when RUSSELL HART moved outwards from the rail causing them to be tightened. PERSIAN OIL and OUR BEOWULF dropped to the rear in this incident with post race veterinary checks revealing no injuries.
Race 2	CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C4 - 390	MYRA BEE was last to jump. MYRA BEE clipped the back of HOT MANGO as she was crossing to the rail and lost ground as she did so. Into the bend VAMPIRES SHADOW ran outwards coming together with HOT MANGO and GENISTA OUTLAW being checked and losing ground. Soon after VAMPIRES SHADOW came off the back of GENISTA OUTLAW and lost more ground. Just after the line SORRY VANDERFORD fell with a post race veterinary check revealing triceps pain with a seven day stand down recommended.
Race 3	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C0 - 390	JUST A MATE and YELLOW DIAMONDS were the last to jump. In the first few strides CARELESS TALK ran inwards coming together with GEORGE BAXTER while wider out BELFAST CHUKKA angled outwards on to JUST A MATE who was tightened. HOMEBUSH LARNA was tightened into the bend and lost ground. On the bend YELLOW DIAMONDS checked off the back of HOMEBUSH LARNA and lost momentum.
Race 4	100% SELECTRIX - C1 - 390	SHADOW WOLF was a clear last on jumping. CEE CEE ARE angled outwards at the jump as VITALIZE ran inwards with these dogs coming together and SHADOW WOLF receiving some tightening in between them. Into the bend FURIOUS RESPONSE ran outwards checking JAFFA GUN who lost ground with CEE CEE ARE losing momentum in behind. FURIOUS RESPONSE continued to angle outwards also contacting TOWER soon after. SHADOW WOLF ran wide on the bend losing ground.
Race 5	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C2 - 390	This race was delayed by two minutes due to a harness race running behind schedule. DYNA INDIGO was the last to jump. STAR GUN made solid contact with NERD CORNER as the former dog crossed inwards soon after the jump with both runners losing ground. SLIGHTLY AMAZING ran outwards into the bend inconveniencing WATERHOUSE and NERD CORNER.
Race 6	COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C1 - 457	HARDZ INGILLTAB was the last to jump. ATTIRE ran inwards coming together with MISS OZARK on two occasions in the run down the back straight. GLYNIS BALE was tightened between runners soon after and lost ground. Into the bend BLACK JAY checked outwards off BLICKLING BRIDGE and lost a few lengths. Soon after BLICKLING BRIDGE checked off the heels of MOREPORT SHANNON and lost momentum.
Race 7	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C2 - 457	CROSSFIRE MAX was last to jump running on for a close fourth. On the home turn THRILLING JONAH ran inwards checking kennelmate GEORGIE LEE who lost ground and dropped out. A post race veterinary check of GEORGIE LEE revealed no injury.
Race 8	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C4/5 - 457	DYNA DIEGO and SANTA SLOY were the last to jump from wide out while closer in TORQUED UP was awkwardly away from the boxes. Into the bend SHUNT APPEAL angled inwards with MAGIC LASS getting on the heels of TORQUED UP and losing ground as a result. DYNA DiEGO ran outwards on the bend pushing SANTA SLOY wider.
Race 9	Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	This race and Race 10 were delayed by four minutes due to harness events running late. WATERVIEW LASS, KNOW SPUNK and BLACK PAN were the last to jump. Into the bend WATERVIEW LASS ran outwards tightening OPAWA PEEKAY and HOMEBUSH FRASER who lost ground.
Race 10	Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	The favourite MAMAJA was the last to jump. HAMPDEN JACK checked off the heels of EMILY on the home turn and lost ground.
Race 11	Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 3	ADMIRE was the last to jump. TEPIRITA TIKI checked outwards into the bend pushing WODSTON BOBO into the path of ITS NOT EASY who fell. As a result of the fall ITS NOT EASY suffered a fractured hock with connections advising that the dog has now been retired.
Race 12	Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 4	GEOFF THE REF came together with OPAWA STYLE in the run down the back straight. Soon after KING OF CLUBS ran inwards and came together with MORIARTY with KING OF CLUBS checking wide and losing ground and inconveniencing the favourite JINJARANGO and HOMEBUSH LIGNITE who were pushed wide and lost a few lengths.
Race 13	justracing.com.au - C3 - 390	HOMEBUSH REECE angled inwards in the early stages tightening ANOTHER LEGIN and OKUKU BOMBER on his inside. Soon after DYNA BROWNLEE shifted outwards checking RED TIGER for a stride. Into the bend GENISTA LIGHTNIN ran inwards coming together with DYNA BROWNLEE. GENISTA LIGHTNIN then ran outwards checking HOMEBUSH REECE with OKUKU BOMBER being inconvenienced in behind these runners.
