| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | TWISTER AL and ALL AGAINST ME were the last to jump. OKUKU LILLY ran outwards in the early stages pushing TWISTER AL and ALL AGAINST ME wider. KNOW TRUST and OKUKU LILLY came together for a few strides in the back straight. KNOW TRUST checked outwards off OKUKU LILLY on the bend and pushed ALL AGAINST ME wider on the track. Closer in HOMEBUSH ACE was held up for some distance and then checked off the back of OKUKU LILLY in the home straight dropping to the rear. Handler Jonathon McInerney when questioned in regards to the improvement of HOMEBUSH TIME stated that the preferred inside draw and a downgrade were factors in the success. |
| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Trish Webb Dash - C0 - 295 | JUST KRISTY was a clear last on jumping. FROGGY NEWITT ran outwards in the early stages inconveniencing UPSALA JEWEL and RITE ROUND RANGE for a few strides. JUST KRISTY and HOMEBUSH LARNA came together on the turn when at the rear losing more ground. Callum Weir the trainer of the winner FROGGY NEWITT was questioned in regards to the dog's improved performance. He stated that the dog has recently changed kennels and had been freshened since its last run. |
| Race 3 | Coaster's Tavern Stakes - C0 - 520 | GEORGE BAXTER and RAMBUNCTIOUS came together into the first bend losing ground. GEORGE BAXTER was again checked in between runners on the home turn and dropped to the rear. OPAWA RAPID ran inwards in the closing stages losing some momentum. Stewards reviewed the head on view of the home straight to ensure that OPAWA RAPID did not turn his head with no further action deemed necessary. |
| Race 4 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C0 - 295 | YALDHURST EDWARD was the last to jump. OPAWA CHARLIE ran outwards soon after the jump tightening HOMEBUSH INDIA and contacting WISE WONDER with some force. YELLOW DIAMONDS was tightened into the bend and lost ground. Soon after JUST A MATE was checked wide out and fell. She got up and ran to the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 5 | Happy Birthday Chris Boyd Stakes - C0 - 520 | HOMEBUSH CRUZ was the last to jump. OPAWA BOMB ran inwards into the first bend checking SILVIA SUE, CHOOSE TO LOVE and NITRO EXPRESS with OPAWA BOMB losing ground and dropping to the rear. HOMEBUSH CRUZ was also inconvenienced at this time. A post race veterinary check of OPAWA BOMB revealed no injury. |
| Race 6 | greyhoundtips.co.nz Dash - C0 - 295 | The trainer of GRIDIRON Ashley Bradshaw advised Stewards that the weight increase of 1.8kgs was planned with this dog having his first start from her kennel. DYNAMIK SPIRIT, GRIDIRON and WHAT A DUMP were the last to jump. HOMEBUSH LAYLA ran inwards in the back straight tightening WHAT A DUMP who lost ground. DYNAMIK SPIRIT ran wide on the home turn when improving and lost momentum. |
| Race 7 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C1 - 520 | MIGHTY PROPHET was a clear last on jumping. Into the first bend OPAWA MIDNIGHT checked outwards off SHOULD BE CARLOS and ran wide losing ground. OPAWA MIDNIGHT ran on well for third. |
| Race 8 | Yaldhurst Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295 | ANOTHER JAK UP came up with the lids and missed the jump by a considerable distance with AVEC LAMOUR also settling towards the rear. Into the bend HOMEBUSH KALAMA checked outwards off OHOKA GERRY and into the path of HUSKER DU who was checked and lost ground. |
| Race 9 | Farewell Tip The Wink Stakes - C1 - 520 | OKUKU CRACKER and CRIXUS were slightly tightened in the early stages. Into the first bend WYNDHAM received a couple of checks when attempting to get away from the rail and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 10 | Hurunui Hotel Dash - C1 - 295 | BIGTIME YAHOO ran outwards from his inside box tightening HALF THROTTLE who dropped to the rear. BIGTIME YAHOO then checked SEA SPRAY TICH who in turn shifted out on to HOMEBUSH NICK who lost ground. Co trainer Alan Joyce when questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner FOGGY STORM stated that the downgrade into a weakish field was of help. He also mentioned that the dog appreciates being in the outside half of the draw which gives him more room. |
| Race 11 | Dave Robbie Photography Sprint - C1 - 295 | OHOKA SUMMER and ZED KAY MAN were the last to jump. ZED KAY MAN recovered quickly to run second. KNOCK EM ran outwards at the jump tightening OHOKA SUMMER and POWER GIRL who dropped to the rear. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 | CAWBOURNE TOBES and ETCHED IN STONE came together soon after the jump with CAWBOURNE TOBES dropping to the rear. As ETCHED IN STONE improved to the lead into the bend ANOTHER RAEWYN was tightened and lost ground. |
