Judicial report: JUST DEFY THAT suffered abrasions and lacerations after jumping and landing on the lure after a trial with a fourteen day stand recommended.

| Race 1 | Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375 | GUNS ON FIRE and OPAWA GIFT were the last to jump. HOME BREWER and MISSION DRIVE came together on two occasions wide out in the run to the bend. ZACCARA was tightened into the bend and lost ground with GUNS ON FIRE having to run wide to get around this runner. On the home turn the pacemaking CHEMICALLY FREE ran very wide losing ground but once balanced ran away for an easy win. HOME BREWER also ran wide on the home turn losing ground with a post race veterinary check revealing carpal infusion with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 2 | Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375 | HOMEBUSH SIENNA was the last to jump. WOT PRICE AGRO ran sharply inwards soon after the jump checking TE POPO JOE and CAWBOURNE DRAG who lost ground. CAWBOURNE DRAG was then tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. The favourite BIMBOO checked outwards on the home turn losing ground running on late for third. |
| Race 3 | Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C1 - C1 - 375 | BULET TOOTH TONY was tightened in the run to the bend. Soon after LISSADELL TONY got on the back of IN OR OUT dragging that runner down with resultant checks to OKAY'S DERMATOFF and BULET TOOTH TONY with these runners all losing their chances. A post race veterinary check of IN OR OUT revealed injuries to pectoral and quadriceps muscles with a ten day stand down recommended. Steve Maher the trainer of the winner RADAR SHIRAZ was questioned in regards to the improved performance of his dog. He stated that a freshen up and the inside draw were keys to today's success. |
| Race 4 | Cloverlea Stakes C1 - C1 - 457 | One of the favoured runners THRILLING HALO was a shade slow from the inside then improved to be handy on the home turn where she checked outwards off LINDOP losing momentum. |
| Race 5 | Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 375 | RUN A BATH was last from the traps. JUST MAC was tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. Scott Drysdale the trainer of the winner RAMESSEE was questioned in regards to the improved performance. He stated that the dog received an injury in January and that he improved with his fresh up run two weeks ago. This combined with a downgrade was instrumental in today's improvement. NICKI HAKA was hard to box in this event with this bitch being placed on the box first list for her immediate starts. |
| Race 6 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C2 - C2 - 375 | TILT YOUR GLASS and MISS FOLEY were the last to jump. TILT YOUR GLASS improved to be handy on the turn and was too strong in the run home. PARRA SPARRA ran inwards in the early stages with SHALF and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY both being checked and losing ground. WILD VAGABOND was pushed wide on the home turn losing ground and failed to run on with a post race veterinary check revealing a pectoral muscle injury with a ten day stand down recommended. |

| Race 10 | Pahiatua Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | TRACKSIDE and WANDY KYLE were the last to jump. ANOTHER LADY was checked in the run to the bend losing ground and coming together with WANDY KYLE with these two kennelmates dropping to the rear. |
| Race 11 | Marton Sprint C2/3 - C2/3 - 375 | MY GIRL MARINA and CAWBOURNE ELLEN were the last to jump. DON'T KNOW ran outwards into the bend pushing CHELSEA'S BEAUTY and OUR PLAYBOY wider with these dogs losing ground. DON'T KNOW continued to run very wide on the home turn losing his chances. |
| Race 12 | Fielding Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 | JAG YOU ARE and ASHER were the last from the traps. RONAN MACHALL ran inwards in the early stages dictating the line of UPAHUT CINDY who lost ground. Into the bend RUN RILEY RUN was tightened and checked outwards making contact with ASHER on his outside. Soon after RUN RILEY RUN continued to run outwards coming together with UPAHUT CINDY with both dogs losing ground and dropping to the rear. A post race veterinary check of RUN RILEY RUN revealed a triceps injury with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
