Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | TIE MY TIE ran outwards soon after the jump checking HOMEBUSH NORMAN who dropped to the rear. TIE MY TIE also came together with ETCHED IN STONE for a stride at this point. |
Race 2 | Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C1 - 295 | OKOTOKS ran outwards into the bend checking TWISTER AL and BIGTIME YAHOO who both lost momentum. In behind BELFAST MUNCHA and MAKE YOUR MARK came together for a few strides dropping to the rear. A post race veterinary check of BELFAST MUNCHA revealed a calf muscle strain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
Race 3 | Borat At Stud Maiden Sprint - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | JAMES ARTHUR and POWER GIRL were the slowest to jump. HOMEBUSH INDIA ran inwards at the jump tightening MIGHTY MONICA and BENNYS ANGEL who lost ground. JOHNNYS BLUE and POWER GIRL came together into the bend losing ground. On that bend BENNYS ANGEL and MIGHTY MONICA came together with both dogs losing ground. |
Race 4 | Borat At Stud Maiden Sprint - C0q - 295 Heat 2 | HOMEBUSH LAYLA, WISE WONDER and the favourite OSCAR TUIVASA were the last to jump. WISE WONDER and JUST A MATE came together on several occasions in the run down the back straight and lost ground. Into the bend OSCAR TUIVASA ran inwards tightening BLONDE TORI with both dogs losing momentum. WISE WONDER checked outwards off OSCAR TUIVASA on the home turn and lost ground while shortly after HOMEBUSH LAYLA was checked when towards the rear. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH LAYLA revealed no injury. |
Race 5 | Borat At Stud Maiden Sprint - C0q - 295 Heat 3 | FINGER POP was last to jump. He ran on well for second. Into the bend WHAT A DUMP was badly checked and dragged down as RUN ALAN shifted away from the rail and FINGER POP ran inwards when improving. Soon after the well supported YALDHURST EDWARD was badly tightened and dropped to the rear. PRINCELY DOLLAR was tightened along the inside and appeared to brush the running rail and lose ground. Post race veterinary checks of PRINCELY DOLLAR and WHAT A DUMP found no irregularities. |
Race 6 | greyhoundtips.co.nz Stakes - C0 - 520 | MONTY DOSH was last to jump. CHOOSE TO LOVE and NITRO EXPRESS came together in the early rush with NITRO EXPRESS then angling towards the rail placing PIED WARRIOR in restricted quarters along the rail with that runner losing ground. Wider out SHOULD BE CARLOS crossed to the inside making solid contact with FUR PATROL who was attempting to get to the outside. FUR PATROL continued her outward movement and was dragged down by CHOOSE TO LOVE and dropped to the rear. MONTY DOSH was forced wide on the first bend around these runners. A post race veterinary check of FUR PATROL revealed no injury. |
Race 7 | The Miller Bar & Cafe - C1 - 295 | MR. BIG STUFF was last to jump. TOTALLY CONFUSED ducked inwards at the jump pushing SYRIPS GIRL on to the back end of BELFAST GLENDA was was checked and lost ground. Into the bend BELFAST GLENDA checked outwards when racing in tight quarters and pushed TOTALLY CONFUSED very wide with both runners losing their chances. Ray Adcock, the co-trainer of the winner RONRAY CRUISER, was questioned in regards to her improved performance. He stated that she is an unpredictable bitch but today in her fresh state she decided to jump better than she normally does. A downgrading also aided her chances today. |
Race 8 | Addington Events Centre Stakes - C1/2 - 520 | RED LABEL PENNY was last to jump remaining in that position throughout. ULTIMATE SPICE angled inwards in the early stages and came together with SONIC DUFFER for a stride. KNOW FUN was checked into the first bend and lost ground with SONIC DUFFER and MOLLY PARTON being forced wide as a result. |
Race 9 | Chats Bar QE2 Shopping Centre Sprint - C2 - 295 | LIGHTNING FEVER and WATERHOUSE were the last to leave the traps. BELFAST SUZY was forced wide around the bend and lost ground. |
Race 10 | Wilson's Sports Bar & T.A.B. Stakes Final - C1f - 520 | WYNDHAM was last to jump. In the early stages MR. MUTOLA and MIGHTY PROPHET came together with both dogs losing ground. |
Race 11 | Flair Sprint - C1 - 295 | On retrieval of the dogs for this event GOTTA FIND BUBBA was found to be in a distressed state and showing a temperature with the veterinary surgeon recommending that this dog be a late scratching. No stand down was recommended. APATCHIE SCOTT and OPAWA DOLL came together wide on the track in the early stages and lost ground. ANOTHER RAEWYN checked briefly off the back of the pacemaking PHAEDRAS FIRST on the bend losing a length. |
Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH TIME ran inwards at the jump checking the favourite ANOTHER COFFEE who dropped to the rear. Into the bend ANOTHER COFFEE was badly held up when attempting to improve and lost more ground. A post race veterinary check of ANOTHER COFFEE revealed no injury. |
