From the jump NEW ORDER was tightened between JAFFA GUN and MOREPORT SHANOON when these two dogs came together. In the run to the turn FIRESIDE FOX ran inwards and severely checked the running of HOMEBUSH KALAMA, NEW ORDER and JAFFA GUN with these three losing ground to finish at the rear.

From the jump NEW ORDER was tightened between JAFFA GUN and MOREPORT SHANOON when these two dogs came together. In the run to the turn FIRESIDE FOX ran inwards and severely checked the running of HOMEBUSH KALAMA, NEW ORDER and JAFFA GUN with these three losing ground to finish at the rear.

OKUKU BOBO jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. Into the turn OLD MATE DAVE and AUSSIE HAKA came together with OLD MATE DAVE going back through the field. On the turn JIMMY CEE checked outwards off HOMEBUSH EDITH and then further on the turn JIMMY CEE fell heavily after clipping the heels of OKUKU BOBO as that runner ran outwards. JIMMY CEE regained his feet to finish the race a distant last and was subject to a veteriunary check which revealed soreness in the back with a seven day stand down recommended.
