Judicial report: SIDESHOW BOB qualified for the Wellington Cup on 20.01.12 but was stood down with an injury following the Cup Heat run on that date. The Trainer then applied under Rule 82.5 for a further Vets examination and as a result, SIDESHOW BOB was left in the final field. However, on 25.01.12, Trainer Fahey advised that the dog had not recovered and he was subsequently scratched and Mr Fahey was advised that he is required to present a Vets Certificate confirming that SIDESHOW BOB was not fit to start

Race 1	Cafe Cibo Upper Hutt C1 - C1 - 305	BULLABAKANKA was checked on the first corner, losing several lengths and he went back to last and finished in that position. Soon after, ANOTHER STREET shifted in causing checks to HUSKY HAKA and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY who both lost ground. HOMEBUSH BRITNEY recovered the best of the two and finished in 3rd place.
Race 2	Screen Effex Ltd C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	RONAN MACHALL shifted in from the start and caused checks to BIG EFFORT and HARRY HALL and they settled at the rear. HARRY HALL then galloped on the back of HOMEBUSH DIP on the first bend ,, shifted out and collided with THRILLING ANNIE who lost several lengths and HOMEBUSH BERNIE who fell . HOMEBUSH BERNIE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. MIRAGE ROYALE led into the first bend but then went off stride and drifted back through the field to finish several lengths behind the 3rd last dog. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with deltoid pain and a skinned stopper pad.
Race 3	Gold Band Finance C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	KEACHYS MATE, HOMEBUSH TAYLOR and CHELSEAS BEAUTY were slow to begin losing two lengths. KEACHYS MATE then made up ground but checked off the heels of OUT BY FIVE going into the bend and dropped back onto HOMEBUSH TAYLOR with both dogs losing ground. OUT BY FIVE then ran wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in 2nd last place. SASSAFRAS also ran very wide into the straight but kept up a strong run to finish in 2nd place.
Race 4	Anglo Upholsterers Ltd C2 F - C2f - 305	SHARI JEWEL who had won its previous start from box 8 one week ago, started from the same box today and she raced wide on the track throughout and finished four lengths last. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 7 days with pain in a pectoral muscle.
Race 5	B & P Engineering C4 - C4 - 305	CAWBOURNE JADE was handy going to the first corner but was checked losing several lengths and she went back to last and finished in that position. MY GIRL MARINA shifted in going to the first corner and checked SOOTYS ESTATE who lost two lengths and she then ran wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in 6th place.
Race 6	Peter Campbell Engravers C5 - C5 - 305	JENNINGS was slow to begin losing two lengths.
Race 7	Wanganui Chronicle C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	PRETTY GOOD clipped the heels of THREE INCH NAIL and fell on the first bend and he was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	"Opawa Racing Ltd" Wellington Cup C5 - C5f - 520	KAZZ RAZZ was the slowest to begin and she then bumped with BUDDY BROKE on the first corner and they lost two lengths. BUDDY BROKE was making up ground approaching the home turn but had to check over the heels of THRILLING RANSOM and he ran a little wide into the straight covering extra ground and finished in 6th place.
Race 9	A1 Embroidery & Screen Print Ltd C2/3 - C2/3 - 305	THRILLING LYRIC was checked losing several lengths on the first corner and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. HOMEBUSH ALEX dropped out to finish several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with pectoral and blade muscle pain.
Race 10	Wellington Champion Sprint C5 Final - C5f - 305	SEDGEBROOKE LEE was slow to begin losing four lengths. CAWBOURNE JOSE was checked on the first corner losing four lengths and soon after SPEEDY LEESHELLE shifted out and checked over the heels of SEDGEBROOK LEE losing three lengths and these dogs stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 11	Wellington GRC Committee Stakes C3 - C3 - 520	SHODSIE was a little slow to begin and was checked on the first corner and again entering the back straight when racing onto the heels of TAILS OFF but ran on quite well to finish 4th. WANDY KYLE shifted in on the first corner and one of the favourites RUN RILEY RUN had to check off his heels and shifted out to race wide into the first bend and forced THRILLING TUNE and EMMA MARIE wide with all three losing ground. RUN RILEY RUN was again checked entering the back straight losing three lengths and he finished in 2nd last place. THRILLING TUNE suffered a torn nail and was stood down for 14 days.
Race 12	NZ Futurity 11th & 18th May 2012 C5 - C5 - 305	ANOTHER DRIZZLE and BOUND BY PRIDE were slow to begin losing two lengths. ANOTHER DRIZZLE then checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE FLICK losing three lengths and he finished in last place. BOUND BY PRIDE made up ground after the slow beginning and finished in 4th place.
