Judicial report: The handler of THRILLING NEWS Mr G Quirk was spoken to by the Stewards in regards to the circumstances regarding the late scratching of the dog
The dog passed the pre race vet inspection and was only found to be sore when the race cover was being put on ,his explanation was accepted
SIPPIN TEQUILA was a late scratching at kenneling after trainer Mr N Green advised the vet that the dog had become very agitated on the way to the track and was seeming to be dehydrated in the humid conditions ,the dog was given a couple of good drinks of water ,and seemed to have recovered to a reasonable state
The Stewards allowed the dog to be late scratched on veterinary advice

Race 1	Jack's Wholesale Meats Series Heat 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1	THRILLING JAFFA pulled up sore at the lure and was sent for a vet check where she was found to have suffered pain in the right wrist and shoulder with a 28 day stand down recommended
Race 2	Trophies Plus Sprint - C0 - 318	Soon after the start CASH KNOCKA and SASHA'S ONE came together buffeting each other for several strides ,Racing in to the first turn STAR BOUND made a run in to the body of the field causing CIRCLE OF LIFE and FUTURE PROOF to be checked back to the rear Racing towards the home turn PINT STAR ran on to the heels of SASHA'S ONE a couple of time then ran in as FUTURE PROOF came through the gap with these two dogs colliding and PINT STAR being knocked off her feet ,SASHA'S ONE had to hurdle PINT STAR and was lucky to keep on her feet PINT STAR recovered her feet to finish on to the lure some distance behind the field PINT STAR was sent for a vet check and was found to have right calf muscle sorness and grazes with a 7 day stand down recommended SASHA'S ONE was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found STAR BOUND was examined by the vet post race where she was found to have suffered a right fore split webbing with a 21 day stand down recommended
Race 3	Jack's Wholesale Meats Series Heat 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 2	A stride or so out of the boxes DUNN ROBIN YOU and EXCITING GIRL collided as they came off the mat In the run down to the first turn DUNN ROBIN YOU was in a handy position when he went off stride in his hinquarters and went back to the rear of the field finishing in last placing at the line DUNN ROBIN YOU was sent for a vet check and was found to be suffering from right sesamoid/metatarso joint sorness with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 4	McGhie Plumbing Sprint - C2 - 318	Soon after the start KID KOONAWARRA came across on to STORMY RHODE with TEAM JACOB, DEE KAY EM and STILL NO WIVES being checked back to the rear losing several lengths On the point of the home turn CULLENS IMPACT was making good ground towards the lead when he moved inwards and collided with STORMY RHODE and CULLENS IMPACT was put off stride losing 4 or so lengths finishing in 3rd placing at the line and could be considered unlucky not to finish a lot closer at the line
Race 5	Jack's Wholesale Meats Series Heat 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 3	As the field left the boxes DEB BALE and HIT DA NOS came together for a stride as their hindquarters made contact ,racing down to the first turn DEB BALE and HIT DA NOS jostled and bumped for some distance at the rear these two dogs never recovered to get in to contention from there on in
Race 6	Reel-Fishin.com Stakes - C3 - 527	MCKONE led the field in to the back straight where he ran out wide shortening stride as he went going back through the field to the rear finishing some distance behind the field at the line MCKONE was sent for a vet check where he was found to be suffering from post race ataxia distress and was treated with fluids with 14 day stand down recommended Soon after the start SEEING EXCUSES came across and bumped EDWARD CULLEN putting him off stride for a stride or so
Race 7	$15,000 Pick6 Sprint - C5 - 318	DALLAS BEAUTY was akwardly away from wider out for a stride or so ,CHEVERTON came in as COLLISION RISK came out with PUNK DINO being tightened and squeezed to the rear out from between these runners ,racing in to the first turn RIPPED JEANS came across severly tightning DALLAS BEAUTY, CHEVERTON , COLLISION RISK, MOTHERLEE and BAD STATE ,SNICKO was just getting to the lead at this point and only got a slight check from behind at this point These other runners were all affected losing thier positions with PUNK DINO being able to scoot over on to the fence staying clear of trouble running on well for 2nd placing at the line
Race 8	Jo's TAB Onehunga Stakes - C1 - 527	Racing down to the first turn there was severe tightning and checks to several runners as SPARTACUS came across on to MISS JETSUN, HOT POOTIE, IMAGINATION and ON TREY with these runners all losing ground at this point CRAFTY GRAHAM was able to keep clear of this trouble to gain a clear lead throughout to win the race with HOT POOTIE making good ground after being tightened early to finish in 2nd placing at the line THRILLING NEWS was a late scratching out of the parade ring when found to be lame THRILLING NEWS was examined by the vet and was found to have pain in the right deltoid muscle with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 9	The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C2/3 - 318	MARK'S PET was a late scratching at kenneling when found to have a cut beside the right hind main pad with a 7 day stand down recommended In the run down to the first turn KEE came across as SAFARI PARTY came out with PUNK PORTSEA being tightened slightly at that point ,PUNK PORTSEA then kept trying to come across on to SAFARI PARTY as ELLY'S GIRL came out on to CAWBOURNE MADZ ,PUNK PORTSEA then ran in towards the fence severly tightning and checking SAFARI PARTY and REALON RAPTURE who lost ground to the rear and were not able to get in to contention from there on in
Race 10	Kevin Coutts Memorial Stakes - C4/5 - 527	As the field raced along the back straight THRILLING BOSS ran up on the heels of THRILLING SPRAT and went up in the air being forced to check back with ALABASTER in behind being unable to avoid running in to the back of THRILLING BOSS and falling heavily THRILLING BOSS was not able to get back in to contention from there on in finishing towards the rear at the line ALABASTER recovered to his feet finishing on to the lure some distance behind the field and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found THRILLING BOSS was sent for a precautionary vet check where no abnormalities were found
Race 11	Carol's TABS Stakes - C1/2 - 527	SIPPIN TEQUILA was a late scratching at kenneling when the trainer advised the vet that the dog had been very agitated on the way to the track and was dehydrated on arrival at the track The dog had been given a couple of large drinks of water and had recovered to some extent ,but was allowed to be scratched as a precaution for dehydration with a 5 day stand recommended
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C4 - 318	Soon after the start JETSUN JULES came across and collided with LOCHINVAR YASI with JETSUN JULES becoming unbalanced for a couple of strides going back to the rear by several lengths and never got in to contention from there on in
