| Race 1 | Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 | FOUR TO MIDNIGHT was slightly slow to begin. In the run to the first bend HOMEBUSH DOMINO raced in limited space when crowded between CAWBOURNE HARVEY and RAISINS. As the field entered the bend JED NORTON which had been wide and was shifting down towards the rail pressured ANOTHER NICK down onto ANYTIME WILL DO who in turn was dictated onto FOUR TO MIDNIGHT with all of these dogs having to race in very cramped quarters. As a result of this tightening FOUR TO MIDNIGHT was checked heavily, falling to the track, in turn causing a check to CAWBOURNE HARVEY and then HOMEBUSH DOMINO who also fell. FOUR TO MIDNIGHT failed to complete the course. A post race Veterinary check of this dog revealed a sprained ligament in it's left shoulder with a 28 day stand down imposed. A post race Veterinary check of HOMEBUSH DOMINO failed to detect any abnormalities. |
| Race 2 | Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C5 - 295 | On the bend CAWBOURNE LISA which was wanting to get wider on the track to avoid the heels of WEE PING DOLL bumped with CAWBOURNE MOFF. These two dogs, due to the contact, lost momentum with the rapidly gaining KNOW ADVANTAGE colliding with, firstly, CAWBOURNE LISA and then CAWBOURNE MOFF. |
| Race 3 | Murray@Ray White Ph 3715005 Stakes - C1/2 - 520 | HOMEBUSH WILD ran outwards shortly after jumping and checked both BIG GIRL WELSHY and KNOW FUTURE. Entering the first bend KNOW FUTURE was obliged to check outwards attempting to avoid the heels of THRILLING JONAH. |
| Race 4 | Robbie's Bar & Bistro Sprint - C4 - 295 | KNOW ESCAPE was slow to begin and settled at the back of the field. On the final bend OKUKU BOMBER ran outwards and collided with RENNERS GIFT who was shifting down the track. |
| Race 5 | Carol's T.A.B Dash - C5 - 295 | In the run to the first bend KINGA MIKE when shifting down the track dictated FIREMANS SALUTE onto CALLAHAN with both of these dogs receiving significant checks. |
| Race 6 | greyhoundtips.co.nz Stakes - C3 - 520 | CAWBOURNE JAKE was squeezed out of it's position racing into the first bend when positioned between RINGOS COLT and NINAS GIRL. On the first bend RINGOS COLT shifted outwards sharply away from the heels of OPAWA STYLE. Racing past the 295 OPAWA JOHNNY shifted away from the rail to avoid OPAWA STYLE but in doing so issued checks to both RINGOS COLT and SLENDER CHANCE. CROSS TO DAPTO had to check wider off the back of NINAS GIRL on the final bend after being crossed by this bitch. |
| Race 7 | Buy Sell & Exchange Dash - C4 - 295 | HARD HABITS was checked out of it's position in the run to the bend when being squeezed between WHERES JOHN CEE and DA BOSS. HOMEBUSH SARINA who was racing behind these three dogs was slightly impeded. AINT THAT COOL, when avoiding the heels of HARD HABITS, shifted outwards on the final bend and again early in the run home, on both occasions colliding with GENISTA GARDENS. |
| Race 8 | Active Electrical Christchurch Ltd Dash - C3 - 295 | CAWBOURNE CATCH was slightly slow to begin. This greyhound then had to check for a stride when becoming awkwardly placed behind TOM FINN. Stewards questioned the kennel representetive of CAWBOURNE COOKIE regarding the improved performance of this greyhound. It was advised that CAWBOURNE COOKIE had previously not been jumping well and been unable to run on but had caught the start well today and given itself every opportunity. |
| Race 9 | I Pave Concrete Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | YELLA MUSTARD was slow to begin. IT'S NOT EASY ran wide on the first bend when checking off the back of SAM I AM. Coming off the first bend YELLA MUSTARD when improving past the field crossed down the track and bumped TEDDY MARCELLO which lost momentum as a result. |
| Race 10 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Sprint - C5 - 295 | From the jump ADINI, KNOW MISTAKE and HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN came together. Into the bend REAL CLEVER and ADINI ran outwards causing a significant check to KNOW MISTAKE. HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN also received interference in this incident. |
| Race 11 | Flair Ladies Bracelet - C5 - 520 | WATERVIEW LASS and KNOW WHICH were both slow to begin. In the run to the first bend WEONA DARLING ran outwards and in doing so bumped KNOW REVENGE on several occasions. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295 | HOMEBUSH LIGNITE and KINGA RYAN came into contact racing towards the first bend with HOMEBUSH LIGNITE losing ground as a result. |
