| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH SIENNA and SHRECKLES were slow to begin losing two lengths. HOMMEBUSH SIENNA recovered to finish in 3rd place but SHRECKLES, who did appear to be uncomfortable in its galloping action, dropped further back to finish several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a pectoral muscle injury. BREAKING MELODY and BRANCH LANE came together on the bend and both lost ground. |
| Race 2 | Guithrie Bowron C2 - C2 - 305 | ANOTHER DRIZZLE was slow to begin losing two lengths, He then had to check off the heels of HOMEBUSH DUSTY on the first corner losing further ground but ran on well from there to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 3 | Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 520 | This race started 2 minutes late at the request of T.A.B control. HOMEBUSH BERNIE and THRILLING ANNIE raced wide covering extra ground on the first bend. One of the better supported runners RAMESSEE led in the early and middle stages but then drifted back through the field to finish in 2nd last place. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with shoulder pain and a skinned pad. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305 | HAYLEY'S WISH was slow to begin losing two lengths. HOMEBUSH CINDY was checked on the first corner and dropped back onto HAYLEY'S WISH who brushed against the rail. They lost three lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. |
| Race 5 | Mickey's Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 520 | RUN RILEY RUN, COOKED THE BOOK and EFF FIVE WARNING jostled together from the start losing ground and they settled at the rear. RUN RILEY RUN then raced wide forcing MY GIRL COOKIE wide on the first bend and they lost further ground.and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305 | AMBLE UP was a late scratching when found to be in season when removed from the kennels to prepare to race. IGNITE THE LIGHT went up with the box lids losing several lengths and all chance. IGNITE THE LIGHT suffered a skinned pad and was stood down for 10 days. LOTTO BIFF checked over the heels of ANOTHER LADY on the bend and went back onto MISTER WHISKER with both dogs losing ground. A few strides later, LOTTO BIFF broke down and dropped out to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a fractured hock. |
| Race 7 | Media Works C3 - C3 - 305 | SMASH BANG WIN was slow to begin losing two lengths. SCAMPER CLAIR shifted out going into the bend and checked DIRECT RESPONSE and OUT BY FIVE who both lost ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear. OUT BY FIVE suffered a webbing injury, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days. |
| Race 8 | Wanganui Security Feature C4 - C4 - 305 | BOTANY ANGELA and BELFAST NODDIE collided on the first corner and BOTANY ANGELA lost six lengths and all chance and finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | CHARLI CLANG was slow to begin losing four lengths. RONS SECRET and CAWBOURNE JOSE collided soon after the start with both dogs losing ground and they settled back in the field. ASHBY ELLY led going towards the home straight but was bumped and pushed wide as the eventual winner VISIONARY MAN moved through to the lead. ASHBY ELLY recovered to finish in 2nd place. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | JUSTIFY A SITE was in 2nd place on the first bend when he suffered an injury and took no further part in the race. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 42 days with a hock injury. It could not be conclusively established but JUSTIFY A SITE may have been clipped from behind by THRILLING TUNE at the time of the incident. |
| Race 11 | Gary Ross Decorator C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | ROYAL PARDON checked over the heels of DONNA BAXTER on the bend losing three lengths and she never recovered finishing in 2nd last place. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with pain in the deltoid / tricep muscles behind the shoulder. |
| Race 12 | GEON Wellington C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | PALOMINE was handy in 3rd place going into the bend but was checked losing several lengths and all chance. SALLY SAY SO and LITTLE BLACKSPOT were also checked soon after and lost ground with LITTLE BLACKSPOT being the most affected and he lost four lengths and finished in last place. ART DECO was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a nail injury. |
