| Race 1 | Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | LIAM TITLE was slow to jump and the favourite MR. BIG STUFF scrambled away settling at the rear. TOTALLY CONFUSED ran inwards in the run down the back straight and tightened BOTANY STORY who lost ground. Into the bend FOGGY STORM was keen to get away from the rail and in doing so checked MERMAN JEWEL, HOMEBUSH ACE, MR. BIG STUFF and LIAM TITLE all of whom lost momentum. |
| Race 2 | Challenge Opawa All Up Dash - C0 - 295 | KING LEO was last to jump. JOHNNYS BLUE was checked and turned sideways in the early stages and lost ground. DECADO ran inwards soon after the jump tightening HUSKER DU and KYANN. Into the bend SILVIA SUE ran outwards badly checking KYANN and JOHNNYS BLUE who was dragged down and lost more ground. A post race veterinary check of JOHNNYS BLUE revealed no injury. Soon after an improving DECADO got on the heels of the pacemaking MAN OH MAN and lost momentum. |
| Race 3 | Happy 2nd Birthday Oscar Pagan Sprint - C0 - 295 | HOMEBUSH HAYLEY was last to jump. HOMEBUSH HAYLEY was then tightened into the bend as PLAY PRETEND angled towards the rail. Wider out the favourite MIGHTY FORTUNE ran out of room when attempting to improve and clipped the heels of OPAWA DOLL and fell. MIGHTY FORTUNE completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. OPAWA DOLL then ran inwards coming together with HOMEBUSH HAYLEY with these two runners losing ground. |
| Race 4 | Buy Sell & Exchange Sprint - C1 - 295 | BELFAST GLENDA was hard to box in this event. ZED KAY MAN was last to jump. DANCING NORRIS was tightened into the bend and ran outwards checking BELFAST GLENDA and to a lesser extent ALL AGAINST ME. BELFAST GLENDA ran outwards on the bend pushing FIVE OF HEARTS wider. |
| Race 5 | Chat's Bar QE2 Shopping Centre Stakes - C1 - 520 | Permission was granted for INGA THE WINGA to be boxed first due to being difficult to box in previous starts with this information being relayed by the commentator. SMOOCHA, SERAPHINE JEWEL and RED LABEL PENNY were all tightened and lost ground in the early stages as DUKE OF FERN ran outwards and INGA THE WINGA angled towards the inside. Following the race SMOOCHA was observed to be limping with the veterinarian reporting that the dog was suffering from cramp with no stand down being deemed necessary. |
| Race 6 | Garrard's Horse And Hound Dash - C0 - 295 | JANDDS MATE turned its head inwards at the jump and marred NIKAU DANNY on two occasions. JANDDS MATE then checked off the back of OPAWA PRINCE into the bend with both dogs losing ground and NIKAU DANNY being forced wide. OKUKU CRACKER ran outwards on the home turn pushing COLLIE JEWEL wider. Soon after SOCRATES ran inwards contacting COLLIE JEWEL and losing momentum. A post race veterinary check of OPAWA PRINCE revealed no injury. JANDDS MATE was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1.a. for marring and must complete a satisfactory trial. COLLIE JEWEL was noticed to ease just short of the finishing line. A post race veterinary check of this dog revealed a swollen wrist with pain on flexion with a fourteen day stand down recommended. In view of the injury sustained and after considering submissions from Owner/Handler Craig Roberts this dog was ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial before its next raceday start. |
| Race 7 | greyhoundtips.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295 | MAKE YOUR MARK was last to jump. HOT MANGO and HOMEBUSH TIME came together for a stride soon after the jump and SHAME ON EAMON ran outwards. Into the bend RULEBROOK RAY was tightened and checked back on to SHAME ON EAMON with APATCHIE SCOTT also being inconvenienced. |
| Race 8 | Addington Events Centre Dash - C1 - 295 | WANDY BOILER and OKOTOKS dwelt soon after the jump settling at the rear. LADAKH angled outwards soon after checking BELFAST MUNCHA for a stride with that runner losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1 - 520 | HOT SHOT LAWYER was last to jump from the outside. He improved to be handy on the home turn and battled for fourth. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. Co-trainer Tony Hart when questioned in regards to the performance of HOT SHOT LAWYER told Stewards that the dog was very green and that he thought he would improve with his first look at the track. |
| Race 10 | Power Farming Ltd Sprint - C1 - 295 | BETTY BEATZER and OKUKU WEE MAN were the last to jump. LADY IN SHADES shifted outwards soon after the jump and checked MULBERRY NIPPER for a stride. TWISTER AL checked off the back of OHOKA DUKE when improving on the bend and lost some momentum. Wider out MULBERRY NIPPER faltered and failed to complete the course with a post race veterinary check revealing a fractured hock with a 28 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 11 | Flair Stakes - C1 - 520 | HOMEBUSH BORIS shifted inwards in the run to the first bend causing tightening to KNOW FUN, BLACK EMILY and SWEET APPEAL who all settled well back. On the home turn MR. MUTOLA was checked as an improving STAR CHICA crossed to the rail in front of him. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH KITTY weighed in 2.6 kgs above her last race weight with Jonathon McInerney advising that this weight gain was planned. IMPERATIVE, ULTIMATE SPICE and HOMEBUSH KITTY were all slow to jump. HOMEBUSH NICK caused tightening as he crossed from his wide draw with ELOUERA BABE, AKAISHA BALE and IMPERATIVE the worst affected losing ground. |
