Track: Dead Despite persistent rain over a period of time before and during the meeting the track stood up remarkably well although it appeared that some runners had difficulty in obtaining traction on the bends.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C2 - C2 - 305	This race was delayed by two minutes due to the Kurow race being late. HAYLEYS WISH was very slow to jump. SHEEZA MEESHA was tightened in the early stages and lost ground. Soon after RHYME IN MELODY received a check when racing on the outside of COOL EXPLORER and lost ground with HOMEBUSH TIME being inconvenienced in behind. On the home turn HAYLEYS WISH and HOMEBUSH TIME came together when well back.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron C1 - C1 - 520	HOMEBUSH LACEY was last to jump. LEOS GIRL ran sharply inwards soon after the jump checking the favourite YANKEE LADY and CATCH A PENNIE who lost ground. Soon after into the first bend LEOS GIRL ran outwards pushing HOMEBUSH LACEY wide around that bend. LEOS GIRL dropped out over the concluding stages with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 3	Harrison Hire Master C2 - C2 - 305	HOMEBUSH JODIE was last to jump. On the home turn an improving SASSAFRAS moved inwards slightly and came together with TRICKY PAULA who had shifted outwards. These two runners lost balance with SASSAFRAS losing ground as she checked wide. After viewing the replays it was established that no muzzle contact occured and no further action was deemed necessary against TRICKY PAULA.
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C3 - C3 - 305	HOMEBUSH BRUCE and AMBLE UP were slow to jump. MISTER WHISKER was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground with NATASHAS DUFFER also receiving a check and dropping back through the field.
Race 5	Mickeys Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 305	DONKY DEEP was slow to jump and dropped to the rear. SOOTYS ESTATE received a check when coming together with CULLENS IMPACT into the bend and dropped out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Closer in MY GIRL MARINA shifted inwards tightening THRILLING PIPPI who lost ground. Following the race MISS GIGI was found to have suffered a fractured fore leg with a 42 day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition R/A - R/A - 520	BUDDY BROKE and BIG EFFORT were the last to jump. Into the first bend EMMA MARIE, SUMMER SPICE and BIG EFFORT all came together dropping to the rear where they remained.
Race 7	Media Works C3 - C3 - 305	BELFAST NODDIE was the last to jump but recovered quickly to be handy on the home turn and win well. HOMEBUSH ALEX ran wide on the home turn when towards the rear.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C2 - C2 - 520	UPAHUT CINDY was keen to get to the outside in the early stages and came together with KANGO KLINK resulting in UPAHUT CINDY losing ground.
Race 9	Broad Roofing C4 - C4 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE was a shade slow to jump. QUEEN MOTHER received a slight check in the back straight and lost ground. On the home turn an improving TALEEDY TROOPER checked FLYING FLYNN as he improved on FLYING FLYNN'S inside with both runners losing momentum when they came together and ran wide for a few strides. SUIT YOURSELF had to shift wider to avoid these dogs.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	THRILLING TUNE was last to jump. TARRA MAGIC was checked into the first bend as TAILS OFF angled inwards from wider out. TARRA MAGIC then contacted WANDY KYLE who lost ground. Wider out THRILLING TUNE and TAILS OFF came together and dropped to the rear.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C5 - C5 - 305	CAWBOURNE MO ran outwards in the early stages keeping IMA SPICE and PALOMINE wide for a time. Into the bend CHARLI CLANG checked outwards with CAWBOURNE MO, ART DECO, IMA SPICE and PALOMINE all having their chances extinguished. Of these runners IMA SPICE did recover well to run fourth.
Race 12	GEON Wellington C5 - C5 - 305	On the home turn ANOTHER WISH checked off the back of CIAO FOR NOW for a stride and faltered with BILLY WHIZ checking outwards off the back of ANOTHER WISH and cannoning into MAGICATE who lost his chance. A post race veterinary check of ANOTHER WISH revealed a fractured hock with a 42 day stand down recommended.
