| Race 1 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | BOMBAY TRAM and BLACK OZARK were the last to jump. Into the bend the favourite TOWER was checked from behind by HOMEBUSH KALAM with TOWER dropping to the rear. CEE CEE ARE was forced wide in this incident. On the home turn PEGSON FIRE checked outwards from behind BOMBAY TRAM and was then dragged down from behind by BLACK OZARK and dropped to the rear. A post race veterinary check of PEGSON FIRE revealed no injury. |
| Race 2 | CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C2 - 390 | KUNG FU TEDDY was checked into the bend and lost ground. RED TIGER ran outwards soon after and checked LA PYTHON for a stride with SLIGHTLY AMAZING being forced wide. On the home turn BLACK TRIGGER checked outwards off OLD MATE DAVE and lost some momentum. |
| Race 3 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3 - 390 | BAKE BEAN BETTY was last to jump. In the early stages CREPE MYRTLE and AUSSIE HAKA came together with this jostling continuing for some distance in the back straight. Post race veterinary checks on these dogs revealed no injury. ANYTIME WILL DO was tightened into the bend as WHAT A PEANUT crossed to the fence. As a result RAISINS was forced wide with BAKE BEAN BETTY also taking a wide path at this stage. |
| Race 4 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C4 - 390 | Into the bend MYRA BEE ran inwards tightening CAWBOURNE CATCH with these two dogs falling. OPAWA FLYER and HOMEBUSH SARINA had nowhere to go and also fell over the top of these runners with KINGA RYAN being severely checked and losing all chance. Post race veterinary checks were carried out on all the fallen runners. No injuries were detected to OPAWA FLYER. CAWBOURNE CATCH was found to have metatarsal bruising with a ten day stand down recommended. MYRA BEE had a painful triceps muscle with a seven day stand down recommended and HOMEBUSH SARINA was found to have gracilis muscle pain with a ten day stand down recommended. |
| Race 5 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390 | RANGITOTO ROHI ran inwards from an outside draw and SHEZA COOL ONE ran outwards from her inside draw with this resulting in FOGGY STORM, MOREPORT SHANNON, NIGELS DRIVING and MEECES TO PIECES all being tightened and losing considerable ground. FOGGY STORM was again tightened between runners into the bend and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 6 | ADDED ENERGY - C0 - 390 | JOHNNYS BLUE was the last to jump. TIE MY TIE and MEMPHIS HOTCAKES received checks into the bend and lost ground. On the home turn an improving HARDZ INGILLTAB came together with FIRESIDE FOX and lost ground. A post race veterinary check of HARDZ INGILLTAB revealed no injury. Just short of the line NEW INGILLTAB was checked as kennelmate SECRET NICOLE ran outwards. |
| Race 7 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1 - 457 | WEARY TRAVELER was last to jump. MIGHTY PROPHET and FURIOUS RESPONSE came together soon after the jump and lost ground. SHADOW WOLF ran outwards into the bend checking FURIOUS RESPONSE and MISS OZARK who lost ground with THRILLING JONAH being shunted wide as a result. |
| Race 8 | 100% SELECTRIX - C4 - 390 | BLACK PAN was last to jump. MAGIC YOU was checked as HOMEBUSH REECE angled inwards soon after the jump and lost ground. HOMEBUSH REECE received a couple of checks on the home turn and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 9 | Colin Gray Memorial Invercargill Cup - C5 - 457 | OPAWA COLLAR moved outwards into the bend pushing OUR BEOWULF out on to SUNSET BOMBER with OUR BEOWULF being turned sideways and losing all momentum. |
| Race 10 | KELVIN HOTEL - C2/3 - 457 | HERE EYE AM was last to jump. CROSSFIRE MAX was keen to get away from the rail in the back straight and in doing so contacted HOUSTON who was crossing to the inside. CROSSFIRE MAX dropped out to last as a result of this check. |
| Race 11 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C4 - 457 | GRIPEN BALE appeared to falter soon after the jump tailing the field throughout with a post race veterinary check revealing a deep painful triceps muscle injury with a 28 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C5 - 390 | HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN was last to jump. NOBLE ENFORCER was pushed wide into the bend as SANTA SLOY improved on his inside. |
