Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305	There was no head on coverage for this race HOMEBUSH BRITNEY(fav) was slow away by several lengths, she tried to gain a run up on the rail as they went in to the first turn ,however was soon tightened out of the gap as HOMEBUSH BERNIE came across on to BABY FALOU resulting in HOMEBUSH BRITNEY going back towards the rear and she was not able to get back in to contention from there on in HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD was away well with the field had to check back of heels as they raced in to the top bend where she went back to the rear and was not able to recover there after finishing in last placing at the line
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	HOMEBUSH ALEX (fav) dwelt slightly at the start ,tried to make ground but soon came together with MY BAD JONNY with these two dogs jostling and hampering each other for some distance racing down and in to the top bend HOMEBUSH ALEX could not get clear of MY BAD JONNY until the top bend but after being forced out wide could not get in to contention baeting only one other runner to the line CHELSEA BABE was slow away and never got in to contention from there on in finishing in last placing at the line LEVERAGE was vetted at the trainers request and was found to have a deltoid /short head muscle injury with a 10 day stand down recommended
Race 3	Guthrie Bowron C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	This race was delayed 2 minutes at the request of raceday control MY GIRL MARINA went down on her nose as they left the boxes ,she lost a length or two ,then gained a run through on the rail to finish in 4th placing at the line Racing in to the first turn KEITHY GEE crossed over towards the rail causing ANOTHER STREET to check back off heels ,HOMEBUSH DIGBY had to check off the heels of ANOTHER STREET at that point these two dogs were not able to get in to contention from there on in filling the last two placings at the line
Race 4	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	As the field raced in to the first turn RUN RILEY RUN from the midfield changed ground outwards suddenley causing THRILLING CHILL to check and go off stride and both went wide THRILLING CHILL raced in the rear there after finishing in last placing at the line and was sent for a vet check where he was found to have generalised muscle soreness and mild acidosis with a 10 day stand down recommended
Race 5	Mickey's Super Liquor C3 - C3 - 305	MISS GIGI was very akwardly away from the boxes then stumbled knocking in to DON'T KNOCK ME which enabled her to regain her balance Racing in to the first turn LOTTO BIFF changed ground outwards suddenley but was clear of other runners SOOTY'S ESTATE (fav) was away well from midfield ,but could not get in close to the rail being held out fairly wide covering a bit of extra ground as they raced across the top bend ,SOOTY'S ESTATE went wide in to the home straight finishing in last placing at the line SOOTY'S ESTATE was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found kennel rep Mr B Cole was questioned by the stewards with regards to the average performance in todays race, the Ahern kennel were dissapointed that the dog wasn't able to gain a better run througout the race to give the dog a better oppertunity of a dividend in her first NZ start ,
Race 6	Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 305	As the field raced in to the first turn UPAHUT CRYSTAL was just in the lead with INIGO JONES on her inner ,he was trying to keep his ground as MR WHISKER came around to the lead tigtning UPAHUT CRYSTAL on to INIGO JONES who was running out of room and started to climb on to the back of UPAHUT CRYSTAL ,BELFAST NOODLE then ran past these runners crossing to the rail causing MR WHISKER to check back on to UPAHUT CRYSTAL to check back on to INIGO JONES who went over the top of UPAHUT CRYSTAL wither her being dragged down as INIGO JONES went over the top of her ,MISS TYRA and DONKY DEEP were badly checked in this incident and lost all chance there after UPAHUT CRYSTAL recovered her footing to finish on to the lure some distance behind the field and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalites were found INIGO JONES also recovered his footing ,but was obvious to see that he had suffered a wrist injury and was caught soon after the post and taken off the track to the vet where he was found to have suffered compund fracture of his left wrist and he was humanly euthanased
Race 7	Media Works C2 - C2 - 520	Racing on to the first bend MICK MANIA caught a heel of CAWBOURNE SMUDGE who went a bit wide and was then hit midquarters by THRILLING ANNIE as UPAHUT CINDY tried to come around these runners forcing THRILLING ANNIE inwards with these dogs racing wide around this bend in to the back straight losing a fair amount of ground CAWBOURNE SMUDGE tried to make up ground there after and finished a credible 5th placing at the line THRILLING ANNIE and UPAHUT CINDY were not able to get in to contention from there on in
Race 8	Wanganui Security C5 - C5 - 305	DONNA BAXTER got away from her handler at pre race parading and ran down the back of the stands, she was caught and vetted and was found to have suffered a stopper pad injury ,so on vets advice was declared a late scratching The handler of DONNA BAXTER reported to the stewards with the collar and lead with the gear in good condition except that a rivet had come lose on the collar that holds the ring where the lead clips on to The Stewards requested that the kennels check all thier remaining colars and leads being used tonight CAWBOURNE MO was slow away by several lengths ,he tried to improve along the inside racing across the top bend ,had to check back off the heels of DONT KNOW losing more ground being several lengths in the rear finishing in last placing at the line DONNA BAXTER was found to have suffered a skinned stopper pad right front with a 10 day stand down recommended
Race 9	Broad Roofing C5 - C5 - 305	Racing down to the first turn there was jostling and tightning in midfield as runners moved in and outwards with BOTANY ANGELA (fav) being squeezed back when just in behind the leaders ,she went back losing several lengths Racing in to the first turn BILLY WHIZ was getting pressure on his outer from MAGICATE with him catching a heel and stumbling with SALLY SAY SO running in to the back of him and hurdling over the top of BILLY WHIZ fell at this point rolling a couple of times with SALLY SAY SO running very wide as she tried to regain her balance BILLY WHIZ regained his footing to finish on to the lure some distance behind the field and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found
Race 10	Keenan Concrete Wanganui C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	racing down to the post the first time there was tightning to between BOTANY MATHEW ,DANS CONQUEST and BIRCHGROVE BILLY as these runners jostled for positions BIRCHGROVE BILLY became unbalanced for a couple of strides as they raced in to the turn and was observed to be uncomfortable in his galloping action there after shortning stride in the home straight to finish in last placing at the line BIRCHGROVE BILLY was sent for a vet check where he was found to hvae pain in his left wrist with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C4 - C4 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LEE went up with the lids losing a couple of lengths , SAFE AND SECURE began akwardly from the inside draw losing a length or so In the run down to the first turn there was tightning and jostling to several runners as ARIEL BAXTER came across on to TALEEDY TROOPER FLAG WAVER (fav) and BOTANY ANN with FLAG WAVER and BOTANY ANN being severly tightened as they raced in to the turn BOTANY ANN hit the rail and FLAG WAVER was forced to check back off the heels of TALEEDY TROOPER ,these two runners went back to the rear and filled the last two placings at the line BOTANY ANN was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found FLAG WAVER was sent for a vet check at the request of the kennel rep and was fouund to have suffered a torn nail left hind 2nd toe with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 12	GEON Wellington C4 - C4 - 305	SEDGEBROOK ELITE missed the start by at least 5 lengths Racing in to the first turn KEACHYS MATE got on the heels of BOTANY BARB with both these dogs going back losing ground which they could not make up there after
