| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Lbour C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | MISTER WHISKER was handy to the first corner but was checked and went back to the rear. MISTER WHISKER checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH TAYLOR just past the finish line and fell. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Harrison Hire Master C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | SCAMPER CLAIR was checked back to last in the run to the first corner and she stayed well back throughout. The favourite ANOTHER MOVE was one of the slowest to begin and then lost further ground when checking off the heels of MISS GIGI on the first corner. A couple of strides earlier, HOMEBUSH ZITA also checked off the heels of MISS GIGI and both dogs lost ground in that incident. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | CHELSEAS BEAUTY was checked on the first corner losing two lengths. THRILLING LYRIC ran a little wide into the bend forcing ANOTHER DRIZZLE to also race wide and they lost ground as a result. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C4 - C4 - 305 | MOLLY DARLING who drew box 1, wanted to race away from the rail going to the first corner and shifted out causing checks to itself and also LETHAL REBEL and BOTANY BARB and they lost all chance and finished in the rear group. |
| Race 5 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | ANYTIME WILL DO and EMMA MARIE both shifted ground at the start and COOKED THE BOOK who was drawn between them was slightly checked. THRILLING GRACE shifted in on the first corner and bumped COOKED THE BOOK and then shifted out forcing GO BOOF wide going into the first bend and they both lost ground. |
| Race 6 | Group 1 Spion Rose C5 Final - C5f - 520 | BIGTIME KINVARA shifted in on the first corner and checked EMILY BAXTER and KNOW PEACE. EMILY BAXTER was the most affected and she went back and out resulting in severe checks to itself and also MAGIC LASS and DARLYNE OTTEY and they lost all chance with EMILY BAXTER and DARLYNE OTTEY in particular losing several lengths and EMILY BAXTER was classed as falling. THREE INCH NAIL and BENNY ROX who were the leading two dogs going into the last bend made contact and both lost a little momentum but it could not be conclusively established on the replay D.V.D that the contact had been anything other than normal race contact. |
| Race 7 | Group 2 Dash For Cash C5 Final - C5f - 305 | JENNINGS and IMA SPICE were the slowest to begin and they stayed back throughout to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Spion Rose Consolation C5 - C5 - 520 | JAG YOU ARE, BIRCHGROVE BILLY and BLACK SHELLEEN jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and settled at the rear. BIRCHGROVE BILLY recovered best of the three to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 9 | Dash For Cash Consolation C5 - C5 - 305 | PRETTY GOOD was checked soon after the start and went back to last but made up ground to finish in 4th place. CIAO FOR NOW shifted in on the first corner and checked BOTANY ANGELA who went back onto ART DECO and they lost several lengths and finished at the rear. ROYAL PARDON shifted out on the home turn and forced PRETTY GOOD to run wide into the home straight. |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C3 - C3 - 520 | CHAINSAW PETE was slow to begin losing three lengths. SALVADOR BALE bumped THUNDA THIGHS soon after the start forcing that runner in onto SIXTY TWENTY who then made contact with BOTANY ANN. THUNDA THIGHS then dropped back and was struck from behind by CHAINSAW PETE and they lost four lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. SIXTY TWENTY checked over the heels of TAILS OFF on the first bend losing five lengths and all chance of a first four placing. |
| Race 11 | Wanganui Security C5 - C5 - 305 | The favourite SEMENYA drew box 8 and was forced to race wide throughout covering extra ground and finished in 4th place. FLAG WAVER was checked on the first corner and went back onto CAWBOURNE MO and they lost three lengths. ASHBY ELLY held a good lead going into the bend but ran very wide covering extra ground and this possibly cost her the chance of a closer placing than 3rd. |
| Race 12 | Broad Roofing C4/5 - C4/5 - 305 | MISSING MELODY began awkwardly losing ground. STIFF shifted in from the start and caused checks to SAFE AND SECURE, FLYING FLYNN, LOTTO BIFF and CAWBOURNE JADE who all lost ground. AERIAL BAXTER shifted in on the first corner and checked CAWBOURNE JADE who lost further ground and she finished in 2nd last place. |
