Track: Heavy The track stood up very well and provided safe footing despite it being unable to be groomed during the day due to the amount of rain that had fallen.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer Warren Smith was fined $50.00 under the Minor Infringements Table after he admitted a breach of Rule 71.2 in that he was late to retrieve MERMAN JEWEL for Race 8.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C1 - 295	LADY IN SHADES was the last to jump. On the bend OKUKU LILLY appeared to shift out pushing FOGGY STORM and LADY IN SHADES over extra ground. There was no head on replay available for this race due to technical difficulties.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C0 - 295	The favourite MEMPHIS HOTCAKES began well then attempted to move away from the rail into the being contacting OHOKA GERRY and MAN OH MAN and lost some momentum. MEMPHIS HOTCAKES then was checked from behind by WOT PRICE CURLY on the bend and dropped out to last with a post race veterinary check of MEMPHIS HOTCAKES revealing no injury.
Race 3	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 1	OHOKA ASHLEY was tightened in the early stages and dropped to the rear. On the first bend WAVE YA HAND ran outwards pushing the favourite UNSHAKEN wide into the back straight. UNSHAKEN was then able to get to her preferred rails position and ran on well for third.
Race 4	Garrard's Horse And Hound Dash - C0 - 295	CHOOSE TO LOVE, NEW ORDER and BOOZE UP all dwelt at the start. SYRIPS GIRL ran outwards on the bend and pushed COLLIE JEWEL wider.
Race 5	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 2	Favourite BLACK EMILY was slow to jump. STAR CHICA and HOMEBUSH JONTY came together in the early stages. HOMEBUSH JONTY and LYNDOUR GEM both ran wide into the first bend and lost ground. Di Roberts the trainer of the winner MAXIMUM JEWEL when questioned in regards to the improved performance told Stewards that the dog enjoys the inside draws and that allowed him to race handy to the pace today.
Race 6	Coalgate Tavern Sprint - C0 - 295	NIKAU DANNY was last to jump. At the jump JOHNNYS BLUE ran outwards contacting PHAEDRAS FIRST for a stride. Into the bend HUSKY HAKA, GLAM NATION and BIGTIME YAHOO all tangled with NIKAU DANNY and JOHNNYS BLUE being checked in behind. JOHNNYS BLUE ran out of room and fell in this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. On the home turn GLAM NATION ran inwards checking FUR PATROL with this runner then running outwards and checking PHAEDRAS FIRST.
Race 7	Shirley Veterinary Centre Stakes - C1q - 520 Heat 3	HOMEBUSH BORIS ran straight to the inside soon after the jump checking SMOOCHA and TEDDY NOVA in the process. HOMEBUSH BORIS then came into contact with the rail into the first bend and lost ground. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH BORIS revealed no injury. TEDDY NOVA ran wide into the first bend and pushed SMOOCHA wider with both runners losing ground.
Race 8	greyhoundtips.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295	LIAM TITLE and HOMEBUSH NORMAN were both slow to jump. In the early stages JED NORTON and ANOTHER HIT came together wide on the track.
Race 9	David Emerson Consultany Dash - C1 - 295	In a tightly compact field into the bend OKUKU SKYHIGH, VITALIZE and UNO IMOGENE were tightened and lost ground.
Race 10	Hampden Tavern Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH NESTOR ran outwards on the home bend pushing CAWBOURNE ELLEN out on to OHOKA DUKE with these dogs losing ground.
Race 11	Little Brown Jug Dash - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH DAPHNE was last to jump. BOTANY STORY ran wide into the bend and lost ground. WANDY BOILER was handy into the bend and then was dragged down dropping out to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C2 - 295	ELOUERA BABE was last to jump. HOMEBUSH DOMINO checked outwards off HONOUR into the bend checking WOT PRICE AGRO and KNOW TRUST with these runners losing ground.
