Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour Co Ht1 - C0q - 305 Heat 1 | HOMEBUSH SUE and GIRLY DREAMZ bumped together going to the first corner and both lost ground. LISSADELL JASPER ran wide on the bend and into the straight and forced HUSKY HAKA to race wide covering extra ground and they finished at the rear. |
Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron C0 Ht2 - C0q - 305 Heat 2 | HOMEBUSH SIENNA, SCARILICIOUS and GERARD HAKA were slow to begin and settled at the rear. SCARILICIOUS shifted in on the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH SIENNA who lost ground and soon after SCARILICIOUS made firm contact with the rail and also lost ground. They jostled together for several strides on the bend and finished well back. SCARILICIOUS was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
Race 3 | Harrison Hire Master C0 Ht3 - C0q - 305 Heat 3 | SYDILICIOUS was very slow to begin losing five lengths. MANAIA FLYER shifted in from the start and caused checks to NAUGHTY COURTY, THRILLING CHAOS and ZACCARA who all lost ground. SAFFRON FLAHERTY shifted in on the first corner and checked THRILLING CHAOS who went back onto the line of SYDILICIOUS who was forced wide going into the bend and covered extra ground as a result. |
Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C0 Ht4 - C0q - 305 Heat 4 | LIBBYLICIOUS shifted out from the start and checked BIT OR SOME who lost ground. SAUCY TOMATO shifted out soon after the start and checked STONES RIVER and SILVEREEN who both lost ground. SILVEREEN and STONES RIVER bumped together on the first corner and STONES RIVER lost three lengths. Soon after MISSION RIVER galloped on the back of SILVEREEN and BIT OR SOME was unable to avoid that incident and was severely checked losing several lengths. SILVEREEN and MISSION DRIVE both went down behind losing several lengths and they were both classed as falling, examined by the Vet and SIVEREEN was cleared of injury but MISSION DRIVE was stood downn for 7 days with quadricep pain. |
Race 5 | Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 520 | CAWBOURNE SMUDGE shifted out from the start and forced GONE AWOL into the line of SHADOWS MATE who lost ground and went back to the rear. UNTEACHABLE shifted in going into the back straight and checked HOMEBUSH JONTY who went back to last and finished in that position. |
Race 6 | Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305 | FAWN ALLEGRO and CRASH GYBE were slow to begin. FAWN ALLEGRO then secured a clear inside run to finish in 2nd place but CRASH GYBE stayed back throughout and finished in last place. |
Race 7 | GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 305 | WHANGANUI, LANSVALE SPARK and CAWBOURNE AVA were checked on the first corner losing four lengths and all chance and they finished in the last three places. |
Race 8 | Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520 | REGAL STEP was the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. THRILLING SOUND was in the leading three going into the first bend but was bumped from the inside by LINDOP and lost ground. He then secured a clear run inside the leading two dogs in the back straight and won the race with ease. BOTANY HORNET galloped on the heels of REGAL STEP entering the back straight and they both lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. |
Race 9 | Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 | BELFAST KING weighed in 2.7 kilograms above its last start weight one month ago. When questioned the co Trainer P.Freeman stated that the increase was intentional and he considered BELFAST KING was now closer to his optimum racing weight. BELFAST KING was the slowest to begin but recovered well to win the race. BREAKING MELODY was handy on the bend but LEOS GIRL clipped her heels and they both llost ground and BREAKING MELODY then ran very wide into the straight covering extra ground and finished in last place. HOMEBUSH BUFFY also lost ground in the incident. BREAKING MELODY was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a stopper pad injury. |
Race 10 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 305 | One of the better supported runners PARRA SPARRA was slow to begin losing two lengths and he stayed back to finish in the rear group. |
Race 11 | Peter Sinclair Photos C1 - C1 - 305 | OH EMM EYE was checked on the first corner and went back to the rear but she ran on quite well to finish in 4th place. TIZA FEVER hit the hind quarters of BELFAST CHEEKY in the home straight and BELFAST CHEEKY lost a little momentum. |
Race 12 | Media Works C1 - C1 - 305 | ZULU was slow to begin losing three lengths. He then checked off the heels of PRINCE PARADE on the first corner losing another three lengths and he finished in 2nd last place. Soon after, PRINCE PARADE was also checked and went back to last and finished in that position. |
