RUSSELL HART was keen to run outwards in the back straight checking his kennelmate CAWBOURNE COOKIE who dropped to the rear. On the home turn CAWBOURNE SHOT was pushed wide as RUSSELL HART continued his outwards movement. |
| Race 2 | Bill's Bar & Bistro Dash - C4 - 295 | TRILOGY SERIES was last to jump. ASSERT ran outwards on the home turn losing ground and making solid contact with WEONA DARLING. ASSERT only battled from that point onwards with a post race veterinary check revealing a dew claw injury with a seven day stand down recommended |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295 | KNOW ATTENTION dropped to the rear soon after the jump after being tightened in between FIREMANS SALUTE and BIGTIME SURVIVOR. Soon after BIGTIME SURVIVOR received a check and lost ground. Into the bend KNOW ATTENTION ran outwards and pushed CAWBOURNE FELIX wider. |
| Race 4 | Borat At Stud Dash - C3 - 295 | LES HART ran inwards in the run down the back straight inconveniencing KELBY HAKA for a few strides. On the bend KELBY HAKA and TOM FINN came together with KELBY HAKA dropping to the rear and finishing last. A post race veterinary check of KELBY HAKA revealed no injury. |
| Race 5 | Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C2 - 520 | SMOOCHA, ITS NOT EASY and WALK DA TORQUE were all tardy from their outside traps. In the early stages OHOKA ZOE ran outwards and contacted DISTINCT IMAGE with these runners losing ground. |
| Race 6 | Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C5 - 295 | DA BOSS was last to jump. REAL CLEVER ran outwards soon after despatch coming together with KNOW RIVAL and CALLAHAN for a stride. Into the bend HOMEBUSH BAKUGAN was tightened by ANOTHER BREEZE as he passed him on his outside. |
| Race 7 | Canteen-Supporting Young Kiwis Living With Cancer Stakes - C4 - 520 | TORQUED UP was last to jump from the outside box. In the early stages in a tight group DUCHESS MAKAYLA ran inwards and came together with favourite YELLA MUSTARD and BADJA BALE. Into the bend YELLA MUSTARD checked outwards off the back of TORQUED UP and lost ground also forcing DUCHESS MAKAYLA wide around that bend. Following the race BADJA BALE was found to have a small skin laceration just above his stopper requiring two stitches with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 8 | Garrard's Horse & Hound Sprint - C5 - 295 | CAWBOURNE LEVI ran outwards into the bend pushing WEE PING DOLL and PURE CHEMISTRY wider with these dogs losing ground. |
| Race 9 | Funny Girl NZ Bred Distance - SPECAdq - 645 Heat 1 | ALCATRAZ BOY ran outwards soon after the jump checking LIFES GREAT who settled at the rear. NINAS GIRL ran very wide into the home straight the first time skirting the outside of the track. Into the back straight the favourite SPEED TICKET was badly held up in behind the pacemaking HOMEBUSH WILD and lost momentum. SPEED TICKET only found racing room on the home turn and finished powerfully for third. |
| Race 10 | Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C2/3 - 520 | The favourite ADMIRE was the last to jump along the inside. He improved to be handy on the home turn but the effort told and he weakened to fourth. Soon after the jump SALVADOR BALE ran inwards and badly checked KNOW REVENGE who almost fell and dropped to the rear. She did well to make ground for third. |
| Race 11 | Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C4/5 - 520 | GRIPEN BALE, ULTIMATE DREAM and KNOW TRUTH all came together into the first bend with these runners losing ground and settling at the rear. GRIPEN BALE appeared to come into contact with the rail with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. KNOW SPUNK was found to have a ruptured toe ligament following the race with a 28 day stand down recommended. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295 | EMERGE was badly dragged down into the bend with this causing checks to EXCITING KYLE, VISUAL ILLUSION, ANOTHER WISH and KNOW MISTAKE who took a heavy tumble. RAISINS was forced very wide around these runners and also lost ground. KNOW MISTAKE regained her paws and completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing quadriceps muscle soreness with a seven day stand down recommended. EMERGE was also checked by the veterinary surgeon with no abnormalities detected. |
