| Race 1 | Otago First4 Maiden Sprint - C0 - 310 | RED ROD and HURRY HOME were slow to leave the boxes. From the jump HUSKY HAKA ran outwards and checked the running of TWISTER AL. Into the bend HURRY HOME crossed over and struck UPSALA JEWEL with both dogs badly checked and finishing at the rear. After the race HURRY HOME and UPSALA JEWEL were subject to veterinary checks which revealed no injury to UPSALA JEWEL but HURRY HOME had soreness in the thigh muscles with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 2 | Speedprint Shop Sprint - C0 - 310 | BELFAST CHUKKA was slow to jump. In the run to the turn HAMPDEN SPIRIT moved inwards and checked HIT THE LIP. On the bend MANAPOURI ran outwards and forced OZARKS CROWN wide on the track, and SOCRATES came into contact with BELFAST CHUKKA with both dogs losing momentum. |
| Race 3 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C1 - 545 | HOOTA SAID lost several lengths when slow to leave the starting boxes and never recovered to finish at the rear. From the jump MY BLIND SIDE ran inwards and checked LINDOP. On the first turn LINDOP and REAL SLIM SHADY ran wide and lost ground. On the back straight SHADOW WOLF ran very wide and forced REAL SLIM SHADY even wider. When questioned about the improved performance of the winner BIG GIRL WELSHY hander Johnny McInerney stated that the dog had been given a spell after a run of poor form and had been freshened for this race with the wider draw also suiting as the greyhound had won two races when drawn out in Box 7. |
| Race 4 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310 | MR BIG STUFF was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. From the jump OPAWA JACK crossed and checked the running of MOREPORT SHANNON and BLACK OZARK. Into the bend ICEBERG RAPPER moved inwards and checked BLACK OZARK who was forced outwards and in turn pushed TOWER wide. On the turn ICEBERG RAPPER and TOWER came together and lost momentum. In the parade prior to the race start ICEBERG RAPPER slipped its collar briefly and ran a couple of metres before being quickly retrieved. The greyhound was subject to a precautionary veterinary check which revealed no issues, and the handler was spoken to advisedly by stewards. |
| Race 5 | Roofing Solutions Sprint - C2 - 310 | From the jump TUI HOTLIPS ran outwards and checked CASLEY and MRS PATCH. In the run to the turn LIFE WITH DEXTER attempted to run outwards and came into contact with MY GIRL MARINA several times. |
| Race 6 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C2 - 545 | SLICE OF MAGIC missed the jump and lost ground early. Into the first turn WALK DA TORQUE crossed over and tightened ITS NOT EASY and HERE EYE AM with the trailing KINGSTON FLYER checking outwards and running wide on the bend. |

At the end of the back straight SHUNT APPEAL moved inwards and badly checked the running of EMILY BAXTER with KNOW PEACE also receiving a check. |
