| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Peter Knowles Dash - C0 - 295 | ZED KAY MAN was very slow to leave the traps with OHOKA GERRY also slow to jump. LEGEND BEE ran inwards checking JANDDS MATE at the jump and lost ground. Into the bend JANDDS MATE ran outwards and into the path of ZED KAY MAN with both runners losing momentum. Following the race SHAME ON EAMON fell but regained his paws quickly and ran to the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C0 - 295 | OPAWA PRINCE was checked from behind by MEMPHIS HOTCAKES into the bend and lost momentum. On the turn the pacemaking SYRIPS GIRL ran off the fence and lost a length. |
| Race 4 | Churchill's Hotel Dash - C0 - 295 | OKUKU WEE MAN and FERAL FOX were the last to jump. LADAKH ran outwards in the early stages tightening BOILED LOLLIES, COLLIE JEWEL and GERARD HAKA with these runners all losing ground. MAN OH MAN angled outwards into the bend with an improving LADAKH receiving a slight check as a result. In the home straight MAN OH MAN checked outwards off BELFAST GLENDA and came into contact with BOILED LOLLIES for a stride. |
| Race 5 | Sensative Harry At Stud Stakes - C0 - 520 | OKUKU CRACKER ran inwards at the jump on to the favourite UNSHAKEN who in turn checked KNOW SURPRISE and WYNDHAM who lost ground. PIED WARRIOR ran wide into the back straight losing a length. In the home straight PHAEDRAS FIRST ran outwards contacting PIED WARRIOR for a stride. Following the race KNOW SURPRISE was found to have a swollen wrist with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 6 | Jet Pets Dash - C1 - 295 | This race was delayed by three minutes due to a hold up at the Timaru gallops. CAWBOURNE TANK and KATIE HAKA came together soon after the jump with HOMEBUSH BORIS being tightened in between these runners. KATIE HAKA and HOMEBUSH BORIS settled at the rear and reamined there throughout. ADINI was checked and lost momentum on the home turn when improving on the inside of UNO IMOGENE. |
| Race 7 | racingdogs.co.nz Sprint - C1 - 295 | AUSSIE HAKA ran outwards into the bend contacting LOTSA STYLE for a stride. LADY IN SHADES also ran wide into the bend with HOMEBUSH BRITNEY being pushed wider as a result. Following the race AUSSIE HAKA was found to have a small laceration on his left elbow with a five day stand down recommended. |
| Race 8 | Willy What At Stud Dash - C2 - 295 | This race ran two minutes late due to continuing delays at Timaru. CAWBOURNE TOBES was awkwardly away from the inside settling last. In the home straight KILKENNY was tightened between runners and lost ground. |
| Race 9 | Addington Events Centre Stakes - C1 - 520 | OHOKA ASHLEY was tightened into the bend as JUST TEASING crossed from her outside with OHOKA ASHLEY dropping to the rear. |
| Race 10 | Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C1 - 295 | ANOTHER HIT weighed in 2.1 kgs above her last race weight with handler Jonathon McInerney confirming that this was a planned increase. TRICKY HARRY, MAXIMUM JEWEL and EXCUSE PLEASE came together soon after the jump. Into the bend KNOW TURBO was badly dragged down from behind by FLUKY LUCY with KNOW TURBO running outwards as a result. This caused MAXIMUM JEWEL and ANOTHER HIT to be forced very wide to avoid him with ANOTHER HIT being carted out on to the grass outside the track. KNOW TURBO was found to have torn biceps tendons with a 28 day stand down recommended. ANOTHER HIT somersaulted the field at the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
| Race 11 | Wizelee At Stud Stakes - C1 - 520 | TEDDY NOVA was the last to jump. THRILLING JONAH was checked twice in the early stages and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C2 - 295 | HOMEBUSH TIME ducked inwards at the jump checking LIGHTNING FEVER who lost ground. Closer in LES HART ran sharply inwards with OKUKU OLLIE, JIMMY CEE and APATCHIE SCOTT all being tightened and losing ground. OKUKU OLLIE was also squeezed up into the bend and dropped to the rear. Co-Trainer Kirsty Taylor was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner LES HART. She told Stewards that the dog had been given a brief let up and had come back well and today had a draw closer to the rail than his previous starts that helped him given his railing tendencies and early speed. |
