| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C0 - C0 - 305 | TIME FOR LIVIN and LITTLE BITTY GAL came together and bumped at the start and they settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. TIME FOR LIVIN checked off the heels of SILVEREEN and lost ground on the first corner. SILVEREEN made contact with the rail just past the finish line and she was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron C0 - C0 - 305 | UNTEACHABLE shifted in on the first corner when going to the lead and checked SLIM JIM who went back and out causing checks to GIRLY DREAMZ and TAKE ON ME. Soon after SAMMY RUBY made contact with TAKE ON ME who lost further ground but he recovered well to finish in 4th place. LISSADELL JASPER shifted out on the bend and forced SLIM JIM to race wide into the home straight over extra ground. RUSTY SAM checked off the heels of SAMMY RUBY on the bend and lost ground. |
| Race 3 | Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520 | INTENSE ZOOM was very slow to begin losing several lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. TWIN TIGERS shifted out from the start and forced ASHER out onto CLUAIN MEALA and both dogs lost a little ground. BOOZE UP shifted out on the first bend and forced ASHER wide. BOOZE UP faltered for a stride entering the back straight and drifted from there and finished in 2nd last place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 7 days with an inflamed and infected toenail. |
| Race 4 | Crombie Lockwood C1 - C1 - 305 | IN OR OUT jumped on terms with the other runners but then drifted off the back of the field and stayed back to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with pain over back and thigh muscles. BABY FALOU and MY GIRL MARINA came together and jostled on the first corner losing three lengths and they were not able to make up the lost ground. |
| Race 5 | Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520 | REGAL STEP was slow to begin and she settled at the rear and stayed back throughout the race. LINDOP shifted out going to the first corner and collided with THRILLING ANNIE and HOMEBUSH IRIS. LINDOP and THRILLING ANNIE were the most affected in the incident and they stayed back to finish in the rear group while HOMEBUSH IRIS finished well to win the race. |
| Race 6 | Palamountains Nutrition Heat 1 - R/Aq - 305 Heat 1 | JACKIE SHIRAZ was slow to begin losing three lengths and she then raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finish in 2nd last place. |
| Race 7 | GEON Wellington Heat 2 - R/Aq - 305 Heat 2 | OPAWA BLACK shifted in going to the first turn and checked THUNDA THIGHS and LOTTO RASPBERRY who then raced wide covering extra ground on the bend. THUDA THIGHS made up ground to finish a close 5th while LOTTO RASPBERRY stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 8 | Mickeys Super Liquor C1/2 - C1/2 - 520 | BOND ECLIPSE and PETROL VOUCHER were slow to begin losing three lengths. BOND ECLIPSE then checked off the heels of CATCH A PENNIE on the first corner and ran very wide into the bend losing further ground and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. PETROL VOUCHER enjoyed a clear run through on the rail after the slow start and she finished well for 3rd placing. |
| Race 9 | Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 | WAIRERE MIRACLE wanted to race away from the rail and shifted out on the first corner causing severe checks to itself and also HOMEBUSH JONAH, NUTS FOR SURE and SINGLE SCULLER. HOMEBUSH JONAH suffered an injury in the incident and pulled up while the other three affected runners lost several lengths and all chance. HOMEBUSH JONAH was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a fractured foreleg. |
| Race 10 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 305 | CAWBOURNE COL, MICKEY THE RAT and SHRECKLES were slow to begin. CAWBOURNE COL then made up ground to be handy on the first corner but checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH DOMINO, went back and out checking SHRECKLES and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group. SHRECKLES did not appear to be striding out correctly and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with pain over a deltoid muscle. |
| Race 11 | Peter Sinclair Photos C2 - C2 - 305 | SMASH BANG WIN was tightened between runners soon after the start and went back to last but secured a clear rails run and won the race. DIRECT RESPONSE shifted out on the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH KELLY who went back to last and finished in that position. DIRECT REPONSE then galloped on the back of JOLOKIA and went back onto BRANCH LANE with all three dogs losing ground. |
| Race 12 | Media Works C2 - C2 - 305 | HAYLEYS WISH and COOL EXPLORER were slow to begin losing four lengths. HAYLEYS WISH then secured a rails run, avoided any interferance and finished well for 2nd placing. INIGO JONES shifted away from the rail on the first corner and caused tightening and a check to CAWBOURNE CHLOE who went back and out causing checks to LANSVALE SPARK and COOL EXPLORER and they all lost several lengths and all chance. ANOTHER LADY was also checked in the incident and lost ground. |
