| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 | MICKEY THE RAT began on terms with the other runners but drifted off the back of the field soon after and finished in last place. As his galloping action did not appear correct, he was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with pain in a gracilus and pectoral muscles. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | JOE BANNER was checked twice going to the first corner and settled at the rear. He then made up some ground but tired over the concluding stages and finished in last place. |
| Race 3 | Harrison Hire Master C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | ALAMEIN FATS and LE FLAMBEUR both went off stride going to the first corner and they drifted back to finish several lengths behind the main body of the field. They were examined by the Vet and both were stood down for 14 days, LE FLAMBEUR with neck muscle pain, wrist pain, a skinned stopper pad and a slight spike wound. ALAMEIN FATS was suffering from deltoid / tricep muscle pain. |
| Race 4 | Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | The favourite THREE INCH NAIL raced a little wide on both bends but apart from that, he had every opportunity but finished in last place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and found to have suffered from cramp but no stand down was required. |
| Race 5 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C1/2 - C1/2 - 305 | The favourite DONT KNOCK ME was the slowest to begin but then secured a clear rails run and finished in 2nd place. MISTER WHISKER shifted out on the first corner and caused a check to REQUEST FUNDING who lost ground and he stayed back to finish in last place. LANSVALE SPARK appeared to be limping following the race , was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |

| Race 7 | Peter Sinclair Photos C5 - C5 - 305 | JENNINGS shifted in on the first corner and checked ART DECO who lost two lengths. JENNINGS checked over the heels of CAWBOURNE JOSE approaching the home turn andf shifted out sharply causing checks to TWENTY SIXTY and ART DECO with all three dogs losing several lengths and all chance. |
| Race 8 | Wanganui Bracelet Final - R/Af - 520 | One of the favouriites SPLENDOUROUS bumped with EMMA MARIE going towards the first corner and then became off balance when awkwardly placed between that runner and MY GIRL COOKIE, shifted in and made firm contact with the rail and went back to the rear and stayed back to finish in the rear group. SPLENDOUROUS was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. MY GIRL COOKIE and REGAL DANCER jostled together for several strides on the first bend losing several lengths and they finished in the last two places. LOTTO PROFIT checked off the heels of SPLENDOUROUS and lost ground on the final bend. |
| Race 9 | Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305 | SEDGEBROOK ELITE was slow to begin losing three lengths. MIRAGE ROYALE checked off the back of CAWBOURNE MO and lost ground on the first corner. MIRAGE ROYALE then checked over the heels of SEDGEBROOK ELITE on the bend and shifted out to race very wide into the straight and she finished in last place. JUST DEFY THAT led on the bend but raced wide covering extra ground and this possibly cost him a closer placing than 3rd. |
| Race 10 | Wanganui Laurels Final - R/Af - 520 | The favourite BIG EFFORT began awkwardly losing ground and settled at the rear. LOUIE MACHALL shifted in going into the back straight and checked LOTTO BIFF who moved out and collided with RYBENBROOK FLASH and they lost several lengths and all chance. CHAINSAW PETE was also affected in the incident and also lost ground. LOUIE MACHALL checked across the heels of MICK MANIA in the home straight and shifted out inconveniencing SHODSIE with both runners losing a little momentum. |
| Race 11 | Media Works C5 - C5 - 305 | PALOMINE shifted in from the start and checked OPAWA THORN who lost ground and went back to last. STATELY BABE shifted in in the back straight and checked RONS SECRET and GO CRASH. Soon after, OPAWA THORN shifted in and checked RONS SECRET and GO CRASH and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. OPAWA THORN also lost ground in the incident but recovered quickly to secure an inside run and finished well for 2nd place. |
| Race 12 | Gary Ross Decorator C4 - C4 - 305 | RENNERS GIFT was a little slow to begin. VINTAGE LACE shifted in from the start and collided with GROOVY BANDIT and they both lost ground. RENNERS GIFT checked off the heels of SCAMPER CLAIR on the first corner and shifted out onto VINTAGE LACE with both dogs losing ground and they finished in the rear group. |
