Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C0 - C0 - 520	REGAL STEP shifted in on the first corner and collided with KEKESAURUS and they both lost several lengths and all chance and finished at the rear.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	PICK A PEPPER was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed well back throughout the race. THRILLING JOSH received a slight check on the first corner and lost a little ground and he finished in last place.
Race 3	Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH LACEY was slow to begin losing two lengths. GINA MAC was handy going to the first corner but was checked losing several lengths and she never recovered and finished in last place. SASSAFRAS shifted out on the bend and checked HOMEBUSH JODIE and HOMEBUSH LACEY who both lost ground and they finished in the rear group,
Race 4	Palamountains Nutrition C1/2 - C1/2 - 305	The favourite DONKEY DEEP began awkwardly losing a little ground. DONT KNOCK ME shifted in running to the first turn and jostled CAWBOURNE TINA and DONKEY DEEP for several strides and they were eventually checked back to the rear. CAWBOURNE TINA then galloped on the heels of DONKEY DEEP going into the bend with both losing further ground and they finished in the last two places. DONKEY DEEP was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a spike wound. CAWBOURNE TINA was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with pain in both shoulder muscles.
Race 5	Morrie Gibbons Sugns C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	THRILLING CHILL was slow to begin and settled at the rear. He then shifted in on the first corner and made firm contact with the rail but ran on well from there to finish in 3rd place. THRILLING CHILL was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. MICK MANIA had to check of the heels of GREYWINDS KOBY on the first corner and went back to last but he also made up ground well to finish in 4th place. THRILLING ANNIE was bumped and forced wide covering extra ground on the first bend.
Race 6	Peter Sinclair Photos C3 - C3 - 305	HOMEBUSH BRUCE was tightened between FIVE KAY KAT and PINTA GUINNESS in the run to the first turn and he lost two lengths but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. The favourite FIVE KAY KAT was also affected in the incident and lost ground and finished in 5th place.
Race 7	GEON Wellington C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	The favourite BIG EFFORT was bumped soon after the start and lost ground but recovered well to win the race. RUN RILEY RUN shifted out on the first corner and forced UPAHUT CINDY, KERRYS DELIGHT and LOTTO PROFIT to run wide on the first bend covering extra ground. KERRYS DELIGHT was the most affected in the incident and almost fell and she stayed back to finish in last place. LOTTO PROFIT recovered well to make up ground for 2nd placing.
Race 8	Broad Roofing Services C3 - C3 - 305	MELODYS MUSE galloped on the back of UPAHUT CRYSTAL on the first corner and they both lost ground and went back to the rear. UPAHUT CRYSTAL and MISS TYRA bumped together twice approaching the home straight and they both lost ground. MISS TYRA was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a spike wound.
Race 9	Media Works C5 - C5 - 305	The two best supported runners STATELY BABE and THEODORE WEST were the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. THEODORE WEST made up ground to finish in 3rd place with STATELY BABE also running on to finish in 5th place. ASHBY ELLY and FLAG WAVER collided on the bend and lost ground and they finished at the rear.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4 - C4 - 520	DARLYNE OTTEY jumped in from the start and checked THRILLING TUNE who lost ground and settled back in the field. EMMAS HEART checked over the heels of DARLYNE OTTEY in the home straight and this possibly cost her the chance of winning instead of finishing in 2nd place.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C5 - C5 - 305	STIFF shifted in from the start and checked IMA SPICE, JENNINGS and AERIAL BAXTER who all lost some momentum. STIFF continued to shift in and jostled with JENNINGS and they both eventually checked and lost ground. SCOTT NO FUNDING was tightened and lost ground on the first corner and was checked from behind by JENNINGS on the bend. STIFF was then held up behind SCOTT NO FUNDING on the bend and these three runners never recovered and finished at the rear.
Race 12	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	BOUND BY PRIDE and SEDGEBROOK ELITE were slow to begin losing two lengths. IGNITE THE LIGHT was checked back to last on the first corner and he stayed back to finish in that position.
