| Race 1 | ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C0 - 390 | SECRET VENUS was very slow to jump but made ground well for her second placing. CAWBOURNE COOKIE angled to the fence on the bend coming into contact with SECRET ICE and losing ground. SEA SPRAY TICH ran wide on the home turn losing ground but once balanced finished powerfully to win. |
| Race 2 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C5 - 390 | BLACK PAN was last to jump running on well for third. PURE CHEMISTRY and CHEETAH WOODS came together for a stride soon after the jump. CAWBOURNE FELIX was tightened and checked along the rail into the bend losing ground. The favourite OUR BEOWULF was also held up in this incident losing ground. PURE CHEMISTRY and BIGTIME SURVIVOR both ran wide on the bend losing ground. OUR BEOWULF was found to have a wound requiring stitches following the race with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
| Race 3 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457 | ANOTHER WISH and OKUKU SKYHIGH came together for a stride at the jump. The favourite ENABLE led into the bend but ran very wide losing ground. When balanced he ran on well for second. A post race veterinary check of ENABLE revealed no injury. Co-Trainer Peter Seque was spoken to about the performance and it was noted that the dog was having his first look at the track and should improve with the experience. ANOTHER WISH ran outwards into bend pushing CAWBOURNE COL, HOMEBUSH CRAIG and SECRET NICOLE wider. |
| Race 4 | BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C4 - 390 | DONT FORGET JET was last to jump. FAST TEDDY and GEORGIE LEE came together soon after the jump. FAST TEDDY ran inwards at the end of the back straight causing GEORGIE LEE and SHARI JEWEL both to be checked and lose ground. |
| Race 5 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C1 - 390 | NIGELS DRIVING was checked at the start and dropped to the rear. The dog remained last throughout finishing some 20 lengths from the winner. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. Trainer Richard Breen informed Stewards that the dog lost weight when he took him over and he has been unable to put weight back on the dog and therefore he was still quite weak. He was informed that a better performance would be expected at the dogs next start. HOMEBUSH ROSEBUD brushed the rail on two occasions in the back straight but finished on for fourth. ANOTHER MOVE ran wide on the home turn losing ground. The connections of the winner HOMEBUSH LIGNITE advised that the dog did not handle Wanganui at its second to last start and its last start was in a final in a good field adding that he appreciated the drop in class today. |

| Race 7 | LONE STAR CAFE & BAR - C1 - 457 | CROSSFIRE MAX and RED TIGER were the last to jump. ADMIRE ran inwards soon after the start tightening MY BLIND SIDE and MORNING WATCH who lost ground. |
| Race 8 | $25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C5 - 457 | KATE LEIGH checked outwards off the back of EMILY BAXTER on the home turn losing ground. |
| Race 9 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C2 - 390 | The favourite CAWBOURNE LEVI and CAWBOURNE HARVEY were the slowest from the traps. LIGHTNING FEVER ran outwards in the early stages tightening GENISTA OUTLAW and ANOTHER BREEZE. Soon after ANOTHER BREEZE ran inwards coming together with CAWBOURNE LEVI and CAWBOURNE HARVEY with these dogs losing ground. A post race veterinary check of CAWBOURNE LEVI revealed soreness of extension of left shoulder with a seven day stand down recommended. |
| Race 10 | SGRC BOUNCE B POWDER - C1 - 390 | CHASIN CROWS and HOMEBUSH BUFFY were slow to jump from the outside boxes. Favourite CULVIE CORGI ran outwards into the bend checking BLACK OZARK and HOMEBUSH BUFFY who both lost ground. BLACK OZARK was checked again in the home straight stumbling for a stride. |
| Race 11 | SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C2 - 457 | LILETTE BALE and MALROY were tightened in the early stages and settled at the rear. YAPSTER JEWEL shifted outwards into the bend with BRASSED OFF receiving a check in behind and losing ground. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C1 - 390 | BLACK TRIGGER and SNICKLE FRITZ came together in the early stages. SNICKLE FRITZ dropped out over the concluding stages with a post race veterinary check revealing a recurrence of a hock injury with a twenty one day stand down. Handler Jonathon McInerney advised that this dog will now most probably be retired. |
| Race 13 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3/4 - 457 | TORQUED UP checked outwards off the pacemaking HAMPDEN JACK in the home straight and outwards on to the favourite MAGIC YOU who lost ground as a result. The Trainer of HAMPDEN JACK Richard Breen was questioned in regards to the dog's improved performance. He stated that the dog had been spelled following injuries and was now fully fit. He added that he expected the dog to run well today in a fresh state. |
