Weather: FineTrack: Good The lure stopped in the last race causing it to be abandoned. A broken wire in the lure carriage was found to be the cause.

| Race 1 | ADDED ENERGY WELCOME - C0 - 390 | NITRO EXPRESS and SECRET VENUS were the last to jump. The favourite WANDY HALLEE ran inwards sharply soon after the jump coming into contact with SOCRATES with these dogs losing ground. OPAWA BILL turned in the boxes and was 200m behind the field. When chasing the field he hit the running rail fracturing his humerus and left fore radius and ulna with this dog being euthanised on humane grounds. |
| Race 2 | www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1 - 390 | SECRET ICE was last to jump. SHEZA COOL ONE was tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear. SECRET ICE improved sharply on the bend and then appeared to hit the running rail and dropped back through the field with PADDO SCORE unable to avoid him and SHEZA COOL ONE receiving another check. This caused SECRET ICE to take a nasty fall and he was diagnosed with a fractured left fore ulna and humerus with the dog being euthanised on humane grounds. |
| Race 3 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1 - 390 | MY GIRL MARINA ran outwards into the bend pushing FOGGY STORM and JAFFA GUN wider with these two runners losing ground. |
| Race 4 | 100% SELECTRIX - C1 - 390 | ANOTHER LADY ran inwards at the jump coming together with RUSSELL HART and UNO IMOGENE. Closer in TOWER also ran inwards contacting MOREPORT SHANNON and REAL SLIM SHADY. ANOTHER LADY and TOWER settled at the rear as a result of these incidents. Into the bend TOWER got on the heels of MOREPORT SHANNON when attempting to improve and lost ground. |
| Race 5 | BRENDON BURKE @ SOUTHERNWIDE - C4 - 390 | WHERES JOHN CEE was the last to jump. BRUNO and MYRA BEE came together into the bend with CAUGHT THE EYE being held up in behind them for a few strides. GENISTA OUTLAW was found to have a cut behind his left fore first digit that needed stapling with a ten day stand down recommended. |
| Race 6 | COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C2 - 390 | HOMEBUSH JAG was last to jump. ASSERT angled inwards soon after the jump causing checks to JOHNNIE GEORGE, BOMBAY TRAM and HONOUR with HONOUR dropping to the rear. |
| Race 7 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C0 - 457 | KNOW ESCAPE was last to jump but recovered into the bend and recorded an impressive victory. ADINI ran outwards at the jump and checked TIE MY TIE for a stride. Into the bend OPAWA PEEKAY and KOMBUCHA came together as OPAWA PEEKAY ran outwards with KOMBUCHA dropping to the rear. |
| Race 8 | KELVIN HOTEL - C1 - 457 | HOMEBUSH EDITH was the last to leave the traps. MIGHTY PROPHET ran outwards in the back straight with KNOW ADVANTAGE, OPAWA MIDNIGHT and HOMEBUSH EDITH all being inconvenienced. |
| Race 9 | $25 YARD MUZZLE STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | SLICE OF MAGIC and BASILIO BALE missed the jump and settled at the rear. KINGSTON FLYER checked outwards off HOMEBUSH WILD on the bend and lost momentum. |

| Race 11 | $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C2/3 - 390 | RAISINS was slow from the outside box. ANOTHER LEGIN ran inwards into the turn coming into contact with CREPE MYRTLE and then ducked out sharply checking GOSS SAGE and sending that runner wide around the bend with both dogs losing ground and their chances. |
| Race 12 | justracing.com.au - C4/5 - 390 | The lure stopped in the home straight with the race being abandoned as a result. It was established that this was caused by a broken wire in the lure carriage and was not related to the power supply problems earlier in the year. All dogs were checked with no injuries found. |
