| Race 1 | Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375 | HOMEBUSH LACEY was observed to have its tail out of the bottom of the box door when the start was made. HOMEBUSH LACEY was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. The starter and the dogs handler were both instructed that in similar circumstances they should ensure that the Greyhound is completely in the box before the green light is switched on. HOMEBUSH GAZEL and WHANGANUI were checked losing ground on the first corner and they finished at the rear. |
| Race 2 | GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 375 | YIFRASHEWA and PICK A PEPPER both began awkwardly and lost ground. PICK A PEPPER was then checked losing further ground running to the first corner and he then ran wide on the bend but finished the race quite well for 5th placing. LISSADELL TOBY disputed the lead on the bend but shifted out slightly and this resulted in checks to BELFAST KING and KRUSSIAN who both lost several lengths and all chance and they finished in the rear group. |
| Race 3 | Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375 | The favourite EFF FIVE WARNING began awkwardly losing ground and BOND ECLIPSE was also slow and lost ground. LISSADELL REBEL and KAPITAL were handy going to the first corner but were checked losing several lengths and they stayed back to finish at the rear. EFF FIVE WARNING was checked losing ground when KAPITAL was checked back through the field but made up ground to finish in 4th place. |
| Race 4 | Peter Sinclair Photos C1/2 - C1/2 - 375 | One of the favourites BRANCH LANE was the slowest to begin and then along with MISS FOLEY he ran wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in last place. MISS FOLEY ran on well in the straight to finish in 2nd place. WHERES WALLY wanted to run wide after starting from box 2 and he checked over the heels of FIVE KAY KAT going to the first corner and then ran very wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 5 | Shannon Dash C1/2 - C1/2 - 375 | THRILLING JOSH, JUST TOM and MICKEY THE RAT were all slow to begin losing two lengths. JUST TOM recovered the best of those and he ran on well for 2nd place. RHYME IN MELODY shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to CAWBOURNE TINA, SPEEDY LEESHELLE and DESIRE. THRILLING JOSH was also checked when CAWBOURNE TINA dropped back onto his line of running. |
| Race 6 | Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C1/2 - C1/2 - 457 | LOUIE MACHALL shifted in from the start and caused tightening and checks to CONOR MACHALL, MICK MANIA, THRILLING CHILL, RADAR SHIRAZ and the favourite BIG EFFORT and they lost varying amounts of ground with MICK MANIA suffering the most and he went back to last and stayed back throughout the race. HOMEBUSH MELL, BIG EFFORT and THRILLING CHILL came together and jostled for a few strides going to the first corner and BIG EFFORT was the most affected and he lost four lengths, went back to last and stayed back to finish in that position. |
| Race 7 | Marton Sprint C5 - C5 - 375 | One of the favourites SEMENYA was handy going to the first corner but was checked and went back to last but she then recovered to finish io 3rd place. VISIONARY MAN was midfield on the bend but was jostled and dropped to near the rear and never recovered. |
| Race 8 | Fielding Dash C3 - C3 - 375 | CULLENS IMPACT and HOMEBUSH BRUCE were a little slow to begin and settled back in the field. VINTAGE LACE shifted in on the first corner causing a severe check to OUR PLAYBOY who lost several lengths and all chance. MELODYS MUSE shifted out going into the bend and checked CULLENS IMPACT and HOMEBUSH BRUCE who both lost ground. |
| Race 9 | Foxton Dash C3/4 - C3/4 - 375 | ADDIS SUNSET and DONT KNOW were handy enough going to the first corner but they were checked losing three lengths. DONT KNOW recovered to finish in 2nd place but ADDIS SUNSET stayed back after being checked and she finished in last place. |
| Race 10 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C3/4 - C3/4 - 375 | The eventual winner GROOVY BANDIT shifted in on the first corner and checked THUNDA THIGHS and a few strides later LOOKS DECIEVING was also checked by GROOVY BANDIT and they lost three lengths. |
| Race 11 | Pahiatua Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | MR METICULOUS, BANDANNA PETE and BIRCHGROVE BILLY were a little slow to begin. BANDANNA PETE then had to check off the heels of MR METICULOUS on the first corner losing ground but recovered to secure a clear run and win the race. NIP TUCK was handy in 2nd place approaching the home straight but ran very wide losing ground and finished in 5th place. |
