The Stewards elected to leave the field as is and the matter has been referred to the JCA for a hearing at a later date
The Stewards spoke to the Harness club with their concerns regarding the tractor driver being unaware of the dogs waiting to be boxed while he was grooming the harness trackThe race was held up for approx 5 mins until the stewards could attrack the attention of the driver
The harness club who employ the driver will address the issue for the future
This part of the Judical report is an amendment to the Waikato meeting of the 20.10.2011
SERGIO (fav) in the last race on the card ran last at the line and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found
After further reviews of the race film the Stewards requested that SERGIO undergo another vet check on Friday the 21.10.2011
Mr G Harding had SERGIO vetted by Mr Steve McGill and he was found to have suffered a gracilis muscle injury that will require approx 3 months to heal
The connections of SERGIO will need to provide a vet certificate to the Stewards before he can be next nominated
