Judicial report: MIRAGE was nominated for swabbing following race 8 and a sample was duly collected but after the Chairman of Stewards was advised that the container was leaking, the decision was made to discard the sample and disregard the swab.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	The favourite BIGTIME ALLGO was one of the slowest to begin but was then making up ground going to the first turn when HOMEBUSH EDDIE shifted in and collided with BIGTIME ALLGO and they lost several lengths and went back to the rear. HARRY HALL and MARJI MAYCEE were also affected in the incident and lost ground..
Race 2	GEON Wellington C1 - C1 - 375	NEW DESIRE and CAWBOURNE MILLY collided soon after the start and settled back. NEW DESIRE then checked off the heels of PICK A PEPPER on the first corner and a few strides further on NEW DESIRE checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE MILLY on the bend and went back to the rear and finished in last place. PICK A PEPPER checked over the heels of MS TOURNAMENTAL on the first corner and ran wide into the bend.
Race 3	Woodville Dash C1 - C1 - 375	One of the favourites KILMAINHAM CHILL was one of the slowest to begin and settled at the rear. KRUSSIAN shifted in on the first corner and caused checks to OH EMM EYE and LISSADELL REBEL who both lost ground and KILMAINHAM CHILL who was following was also checked and forced wide going into the bend.
Race 4	Peter Sinclair Photos C2 - C2 - 375	WHERES WALLY wanted to race out wide and forced CULLENS IMPACT to race wide going into the bend. CULLENS IMPACT made up ground well from the back of the field to win the race.
Race 5	Shannon Dash C2 - C2 - 375	DOING THE TIME shifted in from the start and checked LOW AND HIGHS and MELODY'S MUSE who settled at the rear. MELODY'S MUSE then ran wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and she finished in 2nd last place.
Race 6	Sparky's Bar and Restaurant C1 - C1 - 457	BIGTIME KINVARA shifted out from the start and checked YIFRASHEWA who lost ground and settled back in the field and stayed there to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 7	Marton Sprint C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	CATCH A DREAM who was reasonably well supported was slow to begin losing three lengths and she then drifted further behind during the running and finished several lengths last. CATCH A DREAM was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. It was her first start for six weeks.
Race 8	Fielding Dash C5 - C5 - 375	MINDARIVA was slow to begin losing two lengths and he lost further ground when checking off the heels of THEODORE WEST on the first corner and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 9	Foxton Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	MR METICULOUS who was reasonably well supported was a little slow to begin and then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. NIP TUCK led on the bend but then ran very wide on the home turn losing ground but once into the straight, she ran on to finish in 2nd place.
Race 10	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 375	THRILLING ALI began awkwardly and his galloping action did not appear correct and he drifted off the back of the field to finish several lengths last. THRILLING ALI was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a carpal bone injury. The favourite GO CRASH and LARA PINTER were checked on the first corner and went back to near the rear and they stayed back to finish in 6th and 7th places.
Race 11	Hokowhitu Dash C2/3 - C2/3 - 375	KEITHY GEE was handy to the first corner but was checked and went back causing checks to LOOKS DECIEVING and MICKEY THE RAT and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 12	Pahiatua Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	BANDANNA PETE and DANS CONQUEST collided at the start losing ground and settled at the rear. BANDANNA PETE and BIG EFFORT came together and bumped on the first corner and BIG EFFORT lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
