| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour C1 - C1 - 305 | NUTS FOR SURE checked off the heels of EMMA MARIE on the first corner and went back and out onto NELLY FLAHERTY with both dogs losing three lengths and they finished at the rear. FAWN ALLEGRO checked over the heels of the leader BILLY HAKA on the home turn and ran wide covering extra ground and this possibly cost FAWN ALLEGRO the chance of a closer placing than 3rd. |

| Race 3 | Harrison Hire Master C0 D - C0d - 645 | WHAT A MATE shifted in soon after the start and checked MISS SNOW ANGEL who lost three lengths. BOTANY ADAM shifted out in the home straight and inconvenienced MISS SNOW ANGEL who was finishing well down the outside and this possibly affected MISS SNOW ANGEL'S chance of finishing closer then 5th. |
| Race 4 | Palamountains Nutrition C2 - C2 - 520 | One of the better supported runners HI JEAN was slow to begin losing three lengths and he then raced wide on the first bend and into the back straight covering extra ground and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. COOKED THE BOOK shifted in on the first corner and checked SHEZA RATBAG who made contact with the rail and went back to last and finished in that position. SHEZA RATBAG was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 5 | Morrie Gibbons C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | The favourite RENNERS GIFT was one of the slowest to begin but made up ground to finish in 2nd place. OPAWA MEGASTAR was handy going to the first corner but was checked and went back onto the line of BOMBER MAN and they both lost ground and stayed back to finish at the rear. BOMBER MAN was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a spike wound. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete Wanganui C3/4 - C3/4 - 520 | GUY BAXTER shifted in going to the first corner and collided with BANDANNA PETE with both dogs losing ground. OPAWA GEM checked off the heels of GLEN ABBEY MAL on the first corner and shifted out forcing KERRYS DELIGHT, GREYWINDS KOBY and SHODSIE very wide going into the bend and they lost several lengths. SHODSIE recovered best of the three and he finished in 4th place with the other two back near the rear. GLEN ABBEY MAL was in 2nd place on the home turn but appeared to cramp badly and faded quickly back through the field to finish in last place. GLEN ABBEY MAL was examined by the Vet who confirmed that the dog had suffered from cramp with no stand down required. |
| Race 7 | Couper Catering C2/3 - C2/3 - 305 | ANOTHER DRIZZLE checked off the back of HOMEBUSH JEM on the first corner and went back onto MAJOR HIT with all three dogs losing ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places. |
| Race 8 | Waterloo Cup Ht C5 (Group 1) - C5 - 520 | LITTLE MOTHER shifted out from the start and REGAL DANCER was forced to change her line and move to the inside and lost ground. THREE INCH NAIL shifted out slightly on the first corner amd checked KAZZ RAZZ who lost three lengths. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services C4 - C4 - 305 | Three of the better supported runners IGNITE THE LIGHT, FLYING FLYNN and GO CRASH were slow to begin and they could not make up the lost ground and finished out of the first three places. |
| Race 10 | Media Works C5 - C5 - 305 | One of the favourites DONNA BAXTER collided with MAGICATE at the start and they were both checked soon after when TWENTY SIXTY shifted in. DONNA BAXTER and MAGICATE came together again on the first corner and both again lost ground and DONNA BAXTER dropped back to finish the race in last place. She was examined by the Vet as a precaution and found to have minor grazing to a carpus but no stand down was required. PRINCESS SNOWY suffered a dew claw injury with the loss of a nail and was stood down for 10 days. |

| Race 12 | Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305 | The favourite CAWBOURNE MO collided with OPAWA BLACK going to the first corner and then checked off the heels of RONS SECRET soon after and dropped back onto LARA PINTER with both dogs losing ground. CAWBOURNE MO then collided with OPAWA BLACK on the home turn losing further ground and she finished in last place. CAWBOURNE MO had blood evident on a foot, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days due to losing a toe nail. |
